What am I missing?

Every week, another person leaves. This place isn’t perfect, but it’s far from the worst. Yet people keep leaving like it’s a sinking ship. Outside of layoffs, are they seeing something I’m not? I don’t love it here, but I don’t hate it either. If... — read more

Working on leaving but exhausted

I have been working on trying to leave Citibank but it has been exhausting. Responsibilities outside work, taking care of sick family members, studying for technical interviews and working long hours since my team is overseas wears you out. It was... — read more

Irresponsible vendor teams

Even after paying higher salaries to vendor teams, why they work so irresponsible? and why FTE leads not acting them? Why there is no proper escalation matrix designed for vendors.? Citi is the only place where vendor team ruling and ignoring FTE... — read more

Deafening silence.

All is quiet. Everyone was told that layoffs are over with except with a few instances of it here and there. We’ve all heard this before and it turned out to not be true. So here we are, waiting. The rumors about April layoffs are abundant, so we... — read more

How often does severance get reduce?

I was told by an older coworker that severance now and what it used to be "back in the day" is completely different. Is this true? If so, what's preventing them from reducing it again? How often does it happen?

How can FTE handle Contractors if they reluctant to work?

We need to have some proper procedure to escalate on contractors if they are not working or not taking responsibility of their work. Some managers not even try to manage them properly , not sure if they get any share of contract.

What is strategy if you are a manager?

If you need to save cost, what options you will find, if you have 10 people reportig to you? will you resign and move on and save cost or will you eliminate 5 people and save cost?

Is Jane even human?

Knowing that she and the rest of the upper echelon got Citi into the state that the company is in now. Following up with and approving to restrict and lower bonus’s and raises to give THAT money to the themselves for getting us into this situation... — read more

Citi layoffs 2nd week of April 2025

It's no secret Citi is planning to cut around 10% of their workforce. This is in the financials and public notices. What's unknown is the date. I've learned that the bulk of the cuts will come the second week of April. I cannot advise which... — read more

Belfast Site Townhall

Anyone else find Holden's townhall today a little unhinged? Mainly, what does pointing out that the site leadership is 50% women and that Citi provides more benefits to women than any other employer in N. Ireland have to do with someone asking a... — read more

Very grateful for the job but want to be made redundant

Please don't get me wrong, I am deeply grateful for Citi and the job, but I am extremely tired and frustrated by this 'citi way of working' and my career is not developing in the direction I would like to. How can I get laid off?

RTO/Hybrid at Citi

Got laid off last year from a bank and am considering some IT roles at Citi as the job market is picking up recently (and my experience has been in tech banking). Thought about applying at JPM but 5 days/week in Jersey City is not doable for me. BNYM... — read more

Exclusive News

Changing the trend, from layoffs to more hiring !! https://finance.yahoo.com/news/exclusive-citigroup-plans-slash-contractors-103300471.html

A rare but classic move.

Keeping it short as there is no need to give a back story. A manager told a friend of mine “if anyone doesn’t like this, they can leave”. My friend started interviewing and in less than two weeks, found another job. Basically “challenge accepted”. ... — read more
