Morale’s in the basement

Constantly new changes, every few weeks there’s another round of layoffs, now this RTO cr-p... You start to wonder if it’ll ever stop. Most of us are exhausted and anxious, and are just waiting for the next announcement. That can't be good for... — read more

After being fully remote for 2 years, may need to start hybrid, no clarity around expectations

I was hired as a fully remote employee, which makes sense since none of my colleagues live near me. After 1 year as a remote employee my manager informed me that I may need to begin coming into the office as a hybrid employee, but for what reason?... — read more

RTO dress code

Our whole team is rto. Will the dress code be what it was when we were in the office pre covid? Many comments on here about the lack of janitors. How bad is it in the Minnetonka location? Are the restaurants still open?

Sent back to the office

We must return to the office October 20 and will have our badge swipes counted to ensure we show up there 4 days per week. We do not have our own cube space but we reserve one every 30 days. Looking for a new job which is just what they had hoped... — read more

Layoff-Optum site reporting

They are saying layoffs Mid Sept for some and Mid Oct for others on Optum side...shared services, wellmed, ect. What does it look like for UHC/UHG? Should we be expecting the same. The Steve H email makes me think we should.

Stock Buy Backs

Just a friendly notification. UHG has spent over $11B in the last year on Stock buy backs. The prior period was $9.1B. Instead of giving us living wage raises, or a reasonable bonus. These a--hats see fit to spend company resources to prop up the... — read more

Layoffs

Can your team afford to lose any more people? I don't know who makes the layoff decisions, I assume it's somewhere near the top, but those people need to do our jobs for at least a week before the next one. They need to see how much we're struggling... — read more

Costly onsite meeting while conducting layoffs?

Holding a costly onsite meeting while conducting layoffs is a damaging corporate action that can destroy employee trust and morale, harm a company's reputation, and increase legal risk. Companies that have faced financial distress and have chosen to... — read more

This is becoming too much

You never know when you might get laid off. There's an axe constantly hanging over your head. This is no way to work or live.

UMR and RRP

I see on both this board and the Optum one (there is not one for UMR unfortunately so wasn't sure where to post this). I did not get any emails about the removal of RRP but am within the pay grades that have been mentioned. Does anyone know if UMR is... — read more

AI and UM/UR

I work for an insurance company that has offered early retirement and layoffs will be next. Can anyone with reliable knowledge please share if United uses AI for prior authorization reviews? And if so, were nurses laid off as a result? Thank you so... — read more
