how is the new coo doing?

it's been a few months now. what is our grading of their performance?

i'll go first:
churn is the worst it has ever been (D-)
we haven't done anything to address our network strategy (D)
we moved data under a guy who knows nothing about data but is a friend (F)
we hired a manager to be svp of analytics, but at least they are friends with CTPO (C-)
we have no call center ops strategy (D-)
we've outsourced everything to hit an ebitda number, but now have no sustainability of ebitda (F)

overall grade... F

Understand their business model. Churn and Burn!

Everyone make sure you understand the current business model. 80% of all employees at State Farm, including Leaders, have been here 5 years or less. They are getting rid of U/W, Fire ILR, Chat, Customer Support etc... Around 70% of Auto and Fire claims employees have been here 2 years or less. Wake up! This company is what you call a churn and burn or a pump and dump scheme! They have to message how "people" are the most important thing but in reality they will do everything in their power to make you leave and especially do not want you to get severance or be eligible for unemployment. They make you work in a totally understaffed meat grinder, reassign and then reassign you again to horrible departments. With the constant turnover, they load level others work to the people that are actually good employees which burns them out even quicker. This is not based on stupidity or incompetence but it is a cold, brutal calculated plan that corporate America is using to destroy the American worker. Regain control in their minds. Find a way out and for the love of God do not buy any State Farm products! Tell friends and family too! These people are trash and will do anything to you to enrich themselves.

Verizon needs to reidentify

We have identified as phone gross adds for years. Thats all the investors can see is additional income vs churned income. It greatly effects the companies numbers. We need a change from that sort of idealogy. All kept customers in the network matters at this point. Allow sales and commission sales to follow this idealogy. You can say I'm wrong and fail or hop onto the bandwagon and show people the power of keeping people prove me wrong...let's have fun with this.

Verizon Massive Massive Outage!!! and Churn

What a day. Verizon continues to chase “leaner operations,” yet today’s massive outage tells a different story. When cost-cutting overrides sound engineering and accountability, reliability inevitably suffers.

This will almost certainly drive additional churn. A culture where network decisions are influenced by politics and optics—rather than technical rigor—has consequences, and customers ultimately pay the price.

The long-held perception of Verizon as a “premium” network deserves closer scrutiny. Today’s outage, combined with the recent workforce reductions, exposes a growing gap between branding and reality. Reliability isn’t a marketing slogan—it’s the result of disciplined investment, empowered engineering teams, and accountable leadership.

If this trajectory continues, the market will reach its own conclusion.

Constant cuts are wearing everyone down

Our team just went through another round of layoffs recently and it has become routine at this point. Every few weeks a new team gets hit. These days, people spend more time wondering who is next than focusing on the work. I have been trying to stay calm, but the nonstop churn takes a toll. If I could, I would leave on my own.

Mass layoffs followed by job openings...?

It's somewhat interesting to me that BofA would go through the entire process of hiring a bunch of tech employees, fire them all after a few months, then post the exact same job opening - complete with the exact same typos as before. The only thing that has changed is the deadline for applying. Churning and burning your way through talent is a good way to scare off legitimate prospects in the future - word gets out.

Did you double dip before you left?

Did you double dip and get a free Hess toy truck while also taking a picture by the Hess truck before it leaves forever to New York? How are you feeling after the Churn? Was everyone civilized or was it as dramatic as Rose in the Titanic?

Is DXC done?

I’ve been watching things slide downhill here for a while, and it makes me wonder if there’s any way back. The cuts, the constant churn, and the lack of direction are really showing. Feels like we’re on borrowed time unless something drastic changes.
