Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Info on reorgs?

I know it can be a stressful time with all the changes happening with Medicare and Medicaid at the end of the month. I've been hearing some concerns about potential reorganizations, and I understand how unsettling that can be. If anyone has any insights on which areas might be affected and when, it would be really helpful to share that information. We're all in this together, and any guidance would be appreciated.

Corporate “Reorganization” Bring Your Own Head

Every time a corporation announces a “reorganization,” the CEO appears on CNBC in a soft sweater to explain how painful but necessary it will be. Translation: a thousand workers are about to lose their jobs so the executive suite can keep its bonuses intact.

“Reorg” doesn’t mean fixing broken leadership. It doesn’t mean trimming seven-figure compensation packages. It doesn’t mean questioning why the people steering the ship into the iceberg still get golden parachutes.

It means cutting heads — just never the ones wearing tailored suits.

The CEO who approved the disastrous strategy? Promoted.
The board that rubber-stamped it? Applauded.
The workers who actually made the company run? Downsized for “shareholder value.”

In America, failure is not punished. It is incentivized, as long as you fail from the top.

Corporate reorganization isn’t surgery.
It’s a beheading — performed exclusively on the powerless.

There was a reorg in Mid December of ppl from Optum Insight the Quality Field staff and people from Value Based Care to Govt Programming at UHC. Not sure what will happen with that. The Value Based Care were the provider liaison/CTM who work with ACOs in Medicare, Medicaid and employee sponsored Healthcare.
