I complained to my production VP that I never get a response from SH on any email or voice message I've sent him, even though I get 1,2 and even t3 messages somedays from him asking for all sorts of information that still isn't in salesforce. he never responds to any commission adjustments either, that require his level approvals. My VP laughed and said SH doesn't respond to any VP emails either.

Need Help
All of my team, including my manager, were laid off. I emailed who I think is our VP a few times but they appear to be out of office on extended leave. My contract is up at the end of this month so I need to let someone in HR know and need instructions on how to return my laptop. Does anyone have the HR phone number? Thanks in advance.

No Raises Again!
Pretty funny that LP announced that only 3rd world countries would be getting raises, some of the countries that were deemed worthy of raises are miles from US friends. I'll bet we haven't had raises in the US for like 10 out of 15 years, always some crisis, that results in a delay. How do you run a company like this? When workers complain about it, the answer is we saved jobs as a result of no raises and your lucky to have a job. Speaking on behalf of the people that are left, who cares! Let more people go. The funniest thing is that my big SVP who send us these strange demanding emails all the time threatens everyone that they won't get a raise next month when raises are planned if we miss achieving 20 different metrics he came up with at the start of the week. Teflon
Some sort of email?
It sounds like there was an email from higher ups admitting some kind of fault or issues? Any details for the laid off among us?

Last sentence - Now is the time.
Now is the time to quit sending that garbage but, since they don't care about anyone here in the least, it will continue.
When you leave, who can read your emails?
I was laid off a couple of month's ago.
Out of curiosity, I sent a test email to my old address to see what happened. There was no bounce back reply from the server.
Does that mean my mailbox is still active and someone like my old boss has control of it now?
Rawul has gone
Wait for the email. Stock now in the $8s, thats 1/3 of what it was when he came in, the market has lost all confidence in him.
They are just sorting out the replacement, he will be sending the more family time email to your inbox.
Brian’s Email (from his X feed)
This is an email I sent earlier today to all employees at Coinbase:
Team,
Today I’ve made the difficult decision to reduce the size of Coinbase by ~14%. I want to walk you through why we're doing this now, what it means for those affected, and how this positions us for the future.
Why now
Two forces are converging at the same time. We need to be front footed to respond to both.
First, the market. Coinbase is well-capitalized, has diversified revenue streams, and is well-positioned to weather any storm. Crypto is also on the verge of the next wave of adoption, with stablecoins, prediction markets, tokenization, and more taking off. However, our business is still volatile from quarter to quarter. While we've managed through that cyclicality many times before and come out stronger on the other side, we’re currently in a down market and need to adjust our cost structure now so that we emerge from this period leaner, faster, and more efficient for our next phase of growth.
Second, AI is changing how we work. Over the past year, I’ve watched engineers use AI to ship in days what used to take a team weeks. Non-technical teams are now shipping production code and many of our workflows are being automated. The pace of what's possible with a small, focused team has changed dramatically, and it's accelerating every day.
All of this has led us to an inflection point, not just for Coinbase, but for every company. The biggest risk now is not taking action. We are adjusting early and deliberately to rebuild Coinbase to be lean, fast, and AI-native. We need to return to the speed and focus of our startup founding, with AI at our core.
What this means
To get there, we are not just reducing headcount and cutting costs, we’re fundamentally changing how we operate: rebuilding Coinbase as an intelligence, with humans around the edge aligning it. What does this mean in practice?
Fewer layers, faster decisions: We are flattening our org structure to 5 layers max below CEO/COO. Layers slow things down and create coordination tax. The future is small, high context teams that can move quickly. Leaders will own much more, with as many as 15+ direct reports. Fewer layers also means a leaner cost structure that is built to perform through all market cycles.
No pure managers: Every leader at Coinbase must also be a strong and active individual contributor. Managers should be like player-coaches, getting their hands dirty alongside their teams.
AI-native pods: We’ll be concentrating around AI-native talent who can manage fleets of agents to drive outsized impact. We’ll also be experimenting with reduced pod sizes, including “one person teams” with engineers, designers, and product managers all in one role.
In short: AI is bringing a profound shift in how companies operate, and we’re reshaping Coinbase to lead in this new era. This is a new way of working, and we need to leverage AI across every facet of our jobs.
To those who are affected
I know there are real people behind these decisions — talented colleagues who have poured themselves into this company and our mission. To those of you who will be leaving: thank you. You’ve helped build Coinbase into what it is today, and I am sincerely grateful for everything you've done.
All impacted team members will receive an email to their personal account in the next hour with more information, and an invitation to meet with an HRBP and a senior leader in your organization. Coinbase system access has been removed today. I know this feels sudden and harsh, but it is the only responsible choice given our duty to protect customer information.
To those affected, we will be providing a comprehensive package to support you through this transition. US employees will receive a minimum of 16 weeks base pay (plus 2 weeks per year worked), their next equity vest, and 6 months of COBRA. Employees on a work visa will get extra transition support. Those outside of the US will receive similar support, based on local factors and subject to any consultation requirements.
Coinbase prides itself on talent density. Our employees are among the most talented people in the world, and I have no doubt that your skills and experience will be highly sought after as you pursue your next chapters.
How we move forward
To the team that is staying, I know this is a difficult day. We’re saying goodbye to colleagues and friends you've been in the trenches with. But here’s what I want you to know as we move forward together:
Over the past 13 years, we have weathered four crypto winters, gone public, and built the most trusted platform in our industry. We’ve made it this far by making hard decisions and by always staying focused on our mission. This time will be no different – nothing has changed about the long term outlook of our company or industry. And most importantly, our mission has never been more important for the world. Increasing economic freedom requires a new financial system, and we’re building it.
The Coinbase that emerges from this will be more capable than ever to achieve our mission.

Why do I receive 20-30 emails every day from coworkers and other internal Microsoft groups? 100% of these emails are a waste of my time to read
I had enough of this, so I set up Outlook on Monday to auto reply saying I do not want to be bothered or have the time, desire or motivation to help with your problem you emailed me about. So, stop emailing me and find someone else.
I also have Outlook set up to delete every email in my inbox after my auto replay emails sends.
Today was a lot less stressful and I focused on my side hustle all day.
Well, I've became tired of reading useless emails my team members send to me along with all Corp emails. I set up Outlook to auto delete every
single email that lands in my inbox. I'm going to bring my laptop to Wells Fargo IT this week and tell them I want them to remove Outlook and Teams from my laptop. This will solve the problem once and for all that I do not want to be sent any useless emails including meeting invite emails. I dread any meeting I have attended, so don't see a point in attending them.
I’m going to no longer log into my laptop. Not one email I receive is with my time reading
In fact, this week I’m going to pawn my Ford laptop and see how long it takes for anyone to ask me why I have not responded back to their email yet? I’ll tell them I have been too busy since my Ford manager dumped extra work on me since most of our group is well known Ford Slackers. Our manager just looks the other way rather than doing his job in firing the slackers.

Cracking down on rto
Getting emails that keep reinforcing rto at four days, notably leadership…
Apparently, they dont want to deal with stupid stuff like the friday trainings we now have and the upslilling that has nothing to do with 95% of our roles…
Exits done?
Looks like it's over, at least the exits part. Guessing we get the email tomorrow, unless they are waiting until all the "touch base" your title is changing slightly meetings are over
Opinions on supervisor tactics
We have a new supervisor that came out of no where and had zero experience leading people. Nothing new but some back story. This person is holding projects hostage now. These jobs have been approved , they have been budgeted. But super will not get AFEs created. Ignores emails or direct questions about these jobs. Any opinions. This affects the entire team not just 1 person.

No email yet a good sign?
I been like everyone around me has either been let go. Still waiting.
Are folks still receiving emails?
Seemed like there was a big wave in the morning, but has anyone received an invite in the last hour or so?
Just got the email…
…about JDI day. How do they expect us to celebrate when there is nothing worth celebrating over? Especially right after more layoffs.

Ripped from the headlines at FIS
This is a true story. Had been working through an issue with the help of the TPO. As it was almost wrapped up, about ten weeks later, I reached back out via email to the person who had assisted. As the email was being typed, the Out of Office message caught my eye. It said, Hello, I am unavailable to answer your email because I no longer work for FIS as of (their layoff date here). Please contact (email point) for further assistance. Great work. Bob, nicely done. Did you make that person write their OOO message or did someone have to go along and add to everyone whose career you ended?

Oracle is the new model
Make sure to check your email. The notifications have already started.
One email.. gone, the remaining staff will now know.
Here what your Ai told about your strategy.
When a major tech giant like Oracle handles mass layoffs through a single, impersonal email, it doesn’t just affect those leaving—it fundamentally alters the "psychological contract" for those who stay.
While leadership often views this as a "clean break" to minimize legal risk or logistical chaos, the remaining staff (the "survivors") usually interpret it through a much darker lens. Here is the kind of image and environment this creates:
The "Transaction-Only" Relationship.
By choosing an automated email over human conversation, the company signals that employees are line items, not partners. For the remaining staff, the message is clear: No matter how many years you put in or how many "all-hands" meetings talk about "family" or "culture," you are ultimately a replaceable unit of labor. This often leads to a "quiet quitting" mindset where employees stop going above and beyond because they realize loyalty is a one-way street.Chronic Psychological Insecurity
When a layoff is sudden and impersonal, it creates a "Who’s Next?" culture.
The Shadow of the Inbox: Every time an "All-Company" email notification pops up, staff experience a spike in cortisol.
Risk Aversion: Employees become afraid to innovate or take risks because they don't want to stand out or make a mistake that could land them in the next batch of automated cuts.
Survivor Syndrome
Social psychologists often point to "Survivor Syndrome" in the wake of such events. Remaining staff often feel:
Guilt: Wondering why they kept their jobs while talented colleagues were let go.
Anger: Resentment toward leadership for the "cowardly" or "cold" way the news was delivered.
Distrust: A total collapse of faith in management's transparency. If they could fire 3,000 people with one click, what else are they hiding?Loss of Institutional Knowledge and Morale
Layoffs by email are often "blind"—they don't account for the social fabric of a team.
The "Watercooler" Becomes a "War Room": Instead of focusing on the AI buildout or cloud infrastructure, the remaining staff spend hours on Slack or in private chats speculating, venting, and updating their resumes.
Workload Paralysis: Usually, 100% of the work remains but only 80% of the people are left to do it. When that transition isn't handled with empathy, the remaining staff feel punished for "surviving."Brand Erosion (Internal and External)
Oracle is already competing for top-tier talent in the AI space. High-performers have options. When they see a company treat veterans of 10+ years like a "system error" to be deleted, they begin looking for the exit. The image created is one of operational efficiency at the cost of human dignity, which is a difficult stain to wash off in the talent market.
