Janitors laid off too?

Anyone else who has been required to come in lately notice how nasty the work spaces have gotten? In building 2 the break room is filled with dishes covered in days old food and the fridge smells like mold.

Desks are all strewn with trash and none of the computer peripherals work.

Bathroom smells like a babies diaper.

My college dorm was cleaner than this, anyone have any idea if they laid off the cleaning staff too?

These office relocations are layoffs in disguise

Do they really expect people to go work on effing Jurong Island and make that commute when a lot of Singaporeans don’t own a car and live on the other side of the island. It’s not so effing easy to move: They want you to quit. And they’ll conveniently have an Indian in Bangalore to replace us. F this company.

I predict sick time will go up

For people who track this stuff i predict sick time will double or triple. If I have a sick kid I have to pick up and leave the office I’ll just use four hours of sick time. And when I log off I will be done for the day. I’m not going to sit in an office for 5 hours and not have it count as a day back. And if I’m not feeling great instead of working from home I’ll use sick time. I bet lots of people will do the same.

Please Stop Making This About WFH!

To whom it concerns.. You know who you are.

Please stop making this about remote work. It really makes me want to swear when I hear some little smug punk say "ten toes down" as if to imply that people who have concerns over the new RTO mandate are simply unmotivated or, dare I say, LAZY. It is such an insult to people who aren't career employees, who aren't interested in being in the club, or who aren't in our vendor's pockets.

Remember that famous, yet misquoted statement from Marie Antoinette? "Let them eat cake".. Now, she didn't actually say that but the spirit is there. If you don't have any water, stop complaining and just drink wine. If you want to work at AT&T, stop complaining and come into the office 5x9. So, some people complained about RTO. Instead of asking why, leadership has made resistance a terminatable offense. But, do you ask why we are resisting? While you sit on the executive floors, many have to fight for spaces. We have to fight for parking. We have to endure inane conversations, i mean 'collaboration' about how bad Dallas is playing or how terrible/great presence tracking and RTO are. What have you done to make RTO something we can get behind?

We are a company drowning in debt. We are in negative growth. Our employees hate the company. Our culture is dead, and, oh yeah, we have to come into an office in an environment where we are forced to fend for ourselves like a bunch of lemurs looking for a little patch of grass only so we can pop up our collective heads every time someone new enters the jungle. You call that progress and you label these jungles, "collaboration zones". They are not. You are the bosses living in the penthouse, completely blind to the struggles of the people in steerage. Did it ever occur to you that this is the part of RTO that makes us uneasy? Give me a cube with a docking station, a couple monitors, my own keyboard and mouse, a phone, maybe pictures of my family and some cute little desk tchotchkes that make me feel like I'm a person with freedom and the respect of my leaders instead of being in a prison cafeteria. You think you get it but you don't. I don't mind driving an hour to get to work but it would sure be nice to know that my company gave a darn about my experience once I get there.

If you're still reading, here's a thought. There's this huge building with AT&T plastered all over the place. Its got a ton of space that's mostly used on weekends so it probably sits empty m-f. I think there may be people who work their but I think its fairly well understood that they are pretty terrible at their jobs. Clearly RTO doesn't equate to job performance. Anyway, maybe y'all can think about selling that eyesore to someone else and maybe we can use that money to, oh, I don't know, improve the working conditions for your people who are actually trying to be successful?

Just something to think about..

Can anyone define an UHG “office”?

There is no uhg office in the city next to where I live. We have two optum medical clinics which are very small. I don’t even see a uhg/uhc building anywhere on maps. Is there a way internally or otherwise to look up an “office” and what that even is defined by? (I am not in MN or DC, but wondered how this looks in other states).

Offered a job

I’ve been offered a job in India (not in engineering), but after reading reviews on here and on Glassdoor, I’m not getting a very optimistic impression overall and the hiring/interviewing experience was subpar. I also have another offer I’m weighing. Could anyone share firsthand insights on what it’s like working at the Hyderabad office — in terms of stability, culture, growth prospects, and leadership?

Additionally, I’ve been hearing that the engineering function has been transitioned to Global Logic. Is there any risk of similar changes for non-tech teams as well?

Appreciate any perspectives.

I swear, half the office has already checked out mentally

People show up, smile, type a few things, but you can tell they’re already planning their next move. It feels like working in a ghost town where everyone’s just waiting for the moment they can leave. RTO only made it clearer how miserable we all are at Dell.

Animals in elevators?

OK, what the heck is going on in the headquarters? Can someone explain to me why we have full size colorful posters of animals with copies on the elevators? I feel like I'm in a children's hospital. What's the scoop and why?

Improving Employee Safety

What's the over-under on whether Schart gets asked about improving employee safety in the wake of horrific stabbing mu---r on Charlotte's light rail? I've seen crazies wander into lobbies off the street while the fat "security" ladies did nothing but yell at them. At least other companies have security officers guarding external entrances.

And yes, I've already submitted my question on this subject.

Outpatient Mental Health Therapist looking for advice/help regarding layoffs and moving home

I’m an outpatient mental health therapist at a very small location and have been here since January. We have had barely any new clients and have a huge office. Even though we have no new clients they are hiring 2-3 new therapists as well as a psych doctor…currently there are only two of us as all other therapists quit…neither has full case loads or are hitting RVU’s. I don’t understand how they can afford to keep the office open and have hired all these new people to start full time around the holidays when there are no clients to see. Marketing was supposed to host events since February but haven’t done one yet. They were supposed to do community reach out but still have not. And when I see on this website they are still laying people off it confuses me? As someone who has moved for this position can anyone give me an opinion if I should move back home and resign? Or risk renewing my lease only to be laid off or told we are closing? Just looking for ideas? Thanks

Where is everyone

RTO either has a lot of no shows, or 3M cut that many! Hearing some avoiding RTO because boss and co-workers are in other states or countries, so why RTO? For those that are in office, most are just on calls with global employees anyways. It makes no sense to push a RTO

The mood in the office is terrible lately

People are dragging themselves in, barely speaking, and you can feel the frustration in every meeting. Everybody hates being there. If leadership keeps ignoring it, I don’t see how the company makes it long term. Low morale always comes back to bite you in the a-s.

Pawtucket officials still haven't heard from Hasbro

And with the state of the company meeting next week and Chris p cocks being too much of a little bi--h to face the Rhode island office so he's doing it from Renton...

Sigh. I'm just tired boss.

Raises

Hello is anyone heard if RICOH will be giving raises this year? They have completely fallen off track with the cost of living and they need to do something to retain the workers that they have left.

Lease Out

Hard that Ram processing department is getting leased out. Like 529 and workplace 401k. And at the qsm leadership pretty said that there is no correlation with rob big salary and the layoff but jobs are secured. And question they sold the location in fl for a leasing back opportunity, but fl reps are in cos and om.
