Internal Job
Does anyone know what happens if you apply for a job internally before the 1 year mark? Are managers only notified if you are selected?
Field Service Engineers
What’s with the multiple FSE job openings currently in the US? Isn’t the plan to fully move to Unisys?
Do ye still accept people from outside of the US? Would it be worth a try?
Layoff with rating 4 ineligible for rehire?
Are all of them who have been given 4 (no pip) this year and rif'ed later are ineligible for rehire? If anyone is hiring manager here confirm it?
Internal job posting application denied without reason
For someone who is told to seek another job because their current post is going away soon.
What does it mean if when they apply to an internal job posting, it gets rejected almost immediately?
No reason given. Hiring manager does not respond.
Struggling post lay off
I got laid off in November and I have not found another job. I am feeling very depressed of my situation. One of the hiring managers I interviewed with told me he cant believe Verizon would lay off someone with my experience. But I didnt get selected for the job. I feel like there is a stigma. Makes them question with all the experience and accomplishments I have I couldnt hold a job. My ex colleagues who didnt get laid off have found jobs externally. It was easy for them to land another job.
I can't even get an internal interview
Can hiring managers see your current salary? I apply for jobs here and there. I can't even get an interview.
Job Posting Slop
WTF is up with your job reqs? Applied for a job (perfect quals on paper), went through Recruiter screening then to hiring manager (a B3) interview. Job description they provided was nothing like the posting nor what the Recruiter described.
Just WOW
I was thinking about applying for a tech security position.
Until I saw the hiring manager.
I am familiar with her. There is no way that she knows anything about tech security... And, she's a director. Like, she's an 'expert' in the field.
First time I've ever been like, "Yeah, Fidelity has D . E . I . but they have enough people to fill roles with talented people."
What people are saying is true. No way is this company doing well when I see this.
A HS dropout with ChatGPT would be a better fit for director than this individual. Just wow.
