What is happening to our company?

The execs are horsesh-t. They can make a decision but they can’t stand by it. They have no ba--s when they make a mistake and refuse to take ownership. Then they pay gazillions to consultants to make decisions for them. They aren’t worth a tenth of their salary if all they do is transfer that responsibility. The result is us worker bees working triple hours while not being recognized. The execs are wirthlesss.


Don't take on any extra work

Leadership is counting on you being scared enough about your job that you’ll take on the work of those who were just laid off. Don’t do it. Don’t play their game. Say you’re busy, which, let’s be honest, most of us already are. Let them see what happens when you cut that many people and expect the same work to get done.


Cuts, and job threats.

Every day we hear something about cuts and have are jobs threatened! Do it already! Tired of being under the damn microscope! I constantly see people sitting in the cafe as I go from assignment to assignment, and everytime, no matter what time, there is a old blond haired lady sitting in OC8. No wonder Intel is in trouble, paying people to sit around and do nothing!


GCFM Brain Drain

Our department has lost many members over last month, how are we supposed to handle the remaining workload effectively? Leadership in this organization doesn’t care about the people just the outcomes that they deliver for them to go to LinkedIn and post about. The culture has become so demoralizing that most of us no longer have the appetite to keep working without saying something.


GP&T Enablement Team Leads and Manages

What is going on with GP&T Enablement lately? The team leads and managers basically won’t answer emails, they bail on meetings and when any responsibility comes their way, they immediately say their team aren’t the right ones to handle.

They’ve been using the “we’re at capacity” line for like two years straight… while their headcount has gone up. It’s like the more people they hire, the less anyone is willing to actually do.


Dexterra Group Faces Union Complaints Over SkyTrain Cleaning

SkyTrain janitorial workers are raising concerns about their new employer. SEIU Local 2 alleges Dexterra Group laid off workers and increased workloads. Workers report insufficient cleaning supplies and alleged harassment. At least 17 janitorial workers have been laid off since February 1, 2026. TransLink denies these claims, stating no evidence of improper procedures.

Selection of people to be laid off is actually fascinating

They've been getting rid of the people who knew what they were doing, and consistently holding on to average performers. The remaining competent people are forced to take on most of the leftover workload, while slackers have the time of their lives. It's not only a management failure, it's a conscious decision at the top. The only reason people put up with it is because of the terrible job market. Sooner or later, however, something will have to give.


Aim of all of this?

As I understand, they lay off a bunch of technology teams/devs etc. that support apps and products. Who is then going to work on those? Do they purposefully want to ki-l those products and not offer them to clients anymore? Or do they really hope that a couple thousand new workers are going to be able to keep it up?


We're doing the work of two teams

After our team was hit in January, everything landed on the rest of us. Same deadlines, same expectations, but with half the people. I'm exhausted and every week it gets harder to keep up. When I say something to my manager, I get told to prioritize. Prioritize what? Everything is urgent.


I "survived" the cuts

I'm one of the unlucky ones who's still employed by this trash company. I'm now going to have to do the work of 4 people, and I'm already DROWNING. In our dept meeting they kept saying we'll still meet our deadlines and learn how to "do more with less". It's IMPOSSIBLE.

I sincerely envy my associates who were let go.


I'm tired all the time

We used to have a slower season, a time when you could catch your breath and actually think. That doesn't exist anymore. The pace is relentless now, and the workload has become the baseline. Everyone is exhausted, but pointing it out feels pointless because leadership seems to think this is just how it should be.


Startup Model for a "Fortune 500"

Welcome to Xerox, where we tout our Fortune 500 status (likely will fall pretty soon) while changing and adding new systems for our sales teams without sufficient training, no change in expectations, increasing the pressure, disincentivizing big sales, and not fixing the things that still don't work beforehand.

Should we fix the poor Hubspot integration before adding a totally new frontend? Nah! You'll be fine! Should we fix our client facing websites and services before changing demanding higher volume of sales? Nah! You just need to execute "faster". And the list goes ON and ON. Oh, and let's dissolve the sales training leaders while we're at it so new hires are at the mercy of the sales team they are joining, thus becoming a burden.

I now have 10X more responsibility I had before without 10X the pay. Once I get my next job, I am OUT of here. I wish everyone the best.


How many cuts before nothing's left

I'm watching team after team get carved up and wondering when this becomes unsustainable. They keep cutting deeper, and everyone left is just expected to absorb the rest. No one's asking if the work still gets done, or who's going to be around to do it. I keep waiting for the breaking point, but maybe we're already there and nobody's willing to say it.


FACTS not Fiction

For anyone that thinks you aren’t replaceable, ponder this:

How many employees does UHC/Optum ‘really’ need to run business for jobs that can’t be automated or OGS to complete? C&S (Community & State) and a few E&I (only if US employees are required per their contract).

Whatever your answer is, cut that in # in 1/2. Once cuts are complete in Q1 2027, remaining US FTEs will be doing the work of 2-3 employees. Think not? It’s already happening.

A few questions:
How many layoffs have occurred in 2 years? How many teams disappeared?
What happened to their work?
Which depts absorbed it or was it considered irrelevant?
How many GL30+ have left in 2 years?


The disconnection is unbearable
