BTC Restroom Update

Subject:

We wanted to provide a brief update regarding the restroom incident that occurred on Tuesday.

After quickly identifying the issue, NSG staff took immediate action by closing the men's restroom, posting signs to notify associates, and contacting a plumber. Repairs were completed, and the restroom was fully operational by Wednesday morning.

Facilities arranged for an industrial cleaning service to treat the area, including the use of an odor neutralizer. Fans are also in place to support the drying process, and the overall conditions in the area continue to improve.

The Facilities team will monitor the space and determine whether any additional steps are needed.

Associates who work out of the BTC may choose to work from an alternative workspace, such as the BTD, for the day by reserving space through Archibus.

Can't even work from home when the office overflows with sh-t!

Can Ford IT report me for a broken laptop?

My laptop seemed to find its way behind my cars rear tire parked in my garage. So as you expect, leaving for work, I backed over the laptop with both rear and front tires. I picked up a loaner laptop from IT, telling them I got to travel soon. Eventually I’m going to have to bring my broken laptop in to IT. What can I tell them when they comment the laptop looks so much thinner and ask me why the laptop lid will no longer open?

Parking at 3400 and 2900 Plano offices

Parking at the Plano offices has become increasingly difficult. A new group appears to have moved into the buildings, resulting in a shortage of available parking spaces for everyone. Many employees are now parking improperly, taking up spots outside designated areas, using fire lanes, parking on the grass, occupying EV charging spaces without charging, and even using handicapped spaces. It’s common to see most cars with parking violation notices during lunchtime.

A shuttle operates between the parking lots at 2900 and 3400, allowing employees to park at either location and take the shuttle to their office. However, the shuttle has become ineffective as both parking lots are now filling up. The situation has become quite chaotic.

I hope management addresses this issue and finds a solution soon.

Open Seating is Failing. LT has no ideas

The Turtle Response
• A Harvard Business School study found that face-to-face interaction drops by 70% in open layouts.
• This is due to the Turtle Response: when exposed visually from all angles, the amygdala triggers a low-level threat state.
• People retreat into digital shells—headphones, screens—to protect cognitive resources.

Mulling over pnc offer rto is a minus. Do they stack rank? Activity tracking?

Our place stack ranks for reviews and it's terrible for morale. What about in office hours? When you rto do they mandate hours? 8 min? What about activity and keystroke reports? The salary is comparable but rto five days is a red flag. I can't ask the recruiter some of these things but they matter for quality of life.

Renovations

Everyone is aware that Burlington is undergoing renovations to make room for CFS for them to move in July.. . It's gonna be a tight fit for our departments even with the layoffs that just occurred.. .. Does anyone really think the building will be ready for our return in 3 more weeks?

Don’t make fun of Plano

For years all I heard was people complaining about the Downtown Dallas HQ office. You guys literally tore it to shreds. And now that we are exiting the Discovery District yall found something new to pick on - Plano. Please leave Plano alone. We should be grateful of the announcement. Plano and Frisco are some of the best suburbs out here.

Details…

When are the 15 min meeting notices put on your calendar? Morning of layoff day? Night before? Also, do they tell you when to go in the office to pack up your personal stuff? Do you have to give back home monitors? Would like some additional insights from someone who was impacted. Thx

Maintaining a positive attitude

Hello everybody many people today is stress out about RTO, layoffs, high maintenence customer, manager etc. Below are several things you can do to help feel #blessed no matter what the day throws your way

  • for a healthy vegetable and fruit snack get you some fun onions and orange fanta from the vending machine

  • tickle your tummy with a supersize Dr Pepper from the soda fountain

  • unlock the next luxury level with a Lil Yachty Platinum Deluxe Variety Rap Snacks™️ Sampler Bundle with Zesty Ranch Upgrade

  • Tantalize your taste buds with some fiesta chicken strips and a large fry

*.Upgrade your Snickers bar to a winter wonderland edition by coating it in a white blanket of sugar from the coffee station

  • for a tropical fruit adventure get you some starburst and skittles and arrange them in fun patterns on a piece of printer paper before using it as a funnel to pour them in your mouth

These are just of a few of the temptations that await as you enjoy your day at the office. Please print this out and hang it in the elevators and break rooms. Thank you and God bless.

Back to office

So Apparently PNC will require all "In-Scope" employees to go back to the office five days a week starting May 4, 2026.
Some of my coworkers and other people I've talked to while doing technical support for the PNC employees feel this is a move to get people to quit in order to avoid having to lay off people.

Lincoln employees better subscribe to Ford Secure 👀

Parking targets in Corktown isn’t a great idea:

Ford Motor Co.'s Lincoln luxury brand next month will make Michigan Central in Detroit the home of its marketing, sales and services teams and share the ninth floor with the automaker's Model e electric vehicle team.

The move comes as the Dearborn automaker transitions to its new global corporate headquarters known as "The Hub" just a few miles from the Glass House, its home since 1956 that will be demolished. Ford in 2024 reopened the former train depot, which had been a symbol of Detroit's hard times, with office, retail and event space after the Blue Oval acquired it in 2018 to attract young tech talent. The building's restoration has made it a hot venue for large-scale events, elegant weddings and now a luxury vehicle brand.

“It's a great opportunity for the brand to be in this beautiful place," Lincoln spokesperson Anika Salceda-Wycoco said.

Automotive News first reported the move. Although Ford's new 2.1-million-square-foot headquarters in Dearborn is larger than its previous home, Lincoln President Joaquin Nuño-Whelan told the outlet that moving to Detroit creates an opportunity for the brand to differentiate itself from the mass-market Ford brand, while still being close to the strengths its sibling brand offers.

Salceda-Wycoco didn't provide a total number of employees expected to be assigned to the building called a "thriving symbol of innovation and culture" in a statement, noting desin and product development teams will still remain on the Dearborn campus. Nuño-Whelan told Automotive News it would be about 55 people moving into the station.

The Dearborn automaker by the end of 2028 expects 2,500 Ford employees and another 2,500 workers will be on the campus that includes the Newlab startup hub in the adjacent former book depository. The automaker occupies the eighth, ninth and 10th floors of the 18-story office tower. In addition to Model e, it houses its integrated services software team and philanthropy arm.

The station reopened in June 2024 with an outdoor concert and public tours after a $950 million investment into the campus anchored by the depot whose last train left in 1988. Yellow Light Coffee and a retail store have opened inside the ground floor of the building, and a high-end NoMad hotel will take over the top five floors in 2027. More tenants are expected in the coming years.

Increased expenses

Has anyone thought about the increase of expenses with having all these people in the office? Everyone washing their hands and using the restrooms all day (I drink a lot of water and use the restroom at least seven times a day), using tons of toilet paper and paper towels, drinking lots of water, coffee and tea, keeping the building warm enough or cool enough for everyone in the office… needing more supplies like copy paper, pencils, pens, notebooks…. I’d imagine the water and sewage bills would increase significantly. Thoughts?

Coworker got switched from Remote to In Office

I think managers are already telling their people. It’s so fu---d guys. My coworker got switched and they aren’t even near a major hub or my team. LITERALLY WHAT IS THE REASON??????????????

I am remote, but still waiting for confirmation.

Good luck and godspeed today. It’s the end of the company we know. Already have friends and family closing their accounts.

Hello Schulman, Details to NYC Office Space Leased, True or False??

The figure of $115 per square foot refers to the asking rent for the new Verizon corporate headquarters office space in Manhattan's Penn 2 tower, a lease signed in July 2025.

Verizon signed a 19-year lease for more than 195,000 square feet across the 8th through 10th floors of the Penn 2 building, located near Penn Station.

The asking rent for this specific office space was reported to be $115 per square foot.

Approximately 1,000 corporate employees are expected to work in the new location starting in 2026, consolidating existing offices from other Manhattan locations.

Plaza lurker

Has anyone else working in the Plaza building in Minneapolis noticed a guy who has just been standing in the plaza lobby and atrium all day now?
