Transferring from ‘in office’ to remote? Partner has a job opp in a city without a pulse point

As title says, partner has a job opportunity in a city without a pulse point. Is this even possible for me to switch remote or should just start looking for a new job? I know some people were grandfathered as remote but not counting on it. I’m a L15 (Director) if it makes a difference.

Again with the same question - and if you get "permission" that sets the precedent for everyone else. So do the math - it will be NO

They are still making people go into an office for no good reason when the price of gas is 5 bucks - do you think they care about anyone but themselves.

That’s up to the director. Not likely but worth asking. They might allow it

Most leaders will not approve. They have no spine, are self serving, and are not interested in bring attention to themselves this way. You are likely out of luck.

They consider it relocation and it requires leadership approval.

@c1 Classic response from the disgruntled bridge trolls lurking on this site. Truly unhappy people. Hope you find your way.

Interesting...a director coming on this site to ask a clearly HR question - kinda like people posting on Facebook how sick they are and what they should do. Both kinda weird. Ge-z ask you VP
