What am I going to do?!
I've lost my voice from p!$$!ng and moaning about losing my job. My fingers are raw and cramped from posting here and on other forums. My extended family won't have anything to do with me. My wife is threatening to leave me! I haven't been able to find another job. What do I do????
Stanley siphons off Shareholder Wealth
For himself and the people behind the curtains. The goal is to strip this thing down to bare minimum costs, maintain a revenue stream and healthy cash flow and dump it off private equity style. He most certainly doesn't work for shareholder or the stock price. The men behind the curtains pull his strings.
Leave Blackbaud!
Nobody should be surprised Blackbaud is getting worse and worse. You literally have no excuses. Find anything better as soon as you can!
I left years ago and it‘s the best decision I‘ve ever made. Hearing about Mike‘s latest email is awful. You only have yourselves to blame if you keep your head in the sand and think either things will get better or you won’t be affected soon.
Everyone has an expiry date. Don‘t let them trigger it early on their terms.
ESPP is no longer a no-brainer for me
I’ve participated in ESPP for several years, and the lack of a consistent strategy is becoming hard to ignore.
Leadership keeps reacting on short-term measures instead of planning; repeated layoffs every few months erode trust internally and externally.
It’s time for a proactive plan that lasts longer than a calendar quarter. Credibility matters.
Can't sleep
Anyone else up waiting for the impending doom?
How can Americans save themselves from getting laid off.
The world has changed and Americans now have to compete with global workforce. Now, the global workforce (workforce in India, etc. and H1-Bs in USA) work for much less than what Americans want.
Now, the companies of USA want to increase their profits so they will use cheap labour. They actually don't care about Americans, they only care about their profits and revenues. It is quite evident that the companies want profits even if they have to layoff Americans.
By the way, these all are the side-effects of capitalism.
So, now the only way for Americans to not get laid off is to ask the management to reduce their salary but let them keep their jobs.
Extreme pressures on all sides
Falling stock prices, increasing memories cost, eroding margin, sunset industry for Print, commodisation of PC biz, AI impact, failed business acquisition. HP is facing unprecident challenge across all front. Past earnings and cashflow putting into buying up own shares and increasing dividend is not working. Endless cost cutting through work force reduction and not investing to improve business is eating the company from within.
Rumours have been increasing on company splitting Print and PC up. CEO and multiple C-suite changes/leaving talks had been circulating wild. Staty tune for more cost cutting and business org change.
Layoff Jan 2026
There appears to have been some layoff today 1/22/26. I still have to find out to what extent!
Optum Layoffs
There is a layoff coming across Optum Health on 1/23. Unsure of size, but believe it to be significant.
All this while M&R “leadership” is at an offsite meeting in Scottsdale staying at the Grand Hyatt ($1K/night). Each attendee received a pair of air pods as an attendee gift, all while merit increased of 1% was announced earlier in the week.
Is there another round coming?
I have heard that more layoffs have started. Can anyone confirm?
The UGH/OPTUM "Ghost" Layoff- Avoiding WARN ... How 30,000+ People Disappear in One Day
The Reality for 2025-2026: As of 2025, UnitedHealth Group (UHG/Optum) owns and operates nearly 2,700 separate sub-companies (legal entities). When an employee hears that 30,000 coworkers are being cut, they expect to see a massive legal alarm or a national news headline. But UHG/Optum rarely triggers one, hence no WARN Act notices, or very rare.
They know the loopholes for unreportable numbers to keep the public, the government, and us employees in the dark.
And this doesn't even include the thousands of remote workers. UHG/Optums 'legal' argument is basically there cannot be a 'mass' firing in a single living room.... even if 100 are on a Teams call.
Dave D’s Town Hall
TSEP Town Hall. DD talking a lot about “right sizing” and assessing team’s workloads/team members allocated. Also mentioned as a piece of this year’s strategy- GCC 2.0 (global capability center)- where it improves the onboarding and training for ICC employees.
Literally telling us they will lay off US based workers and outsource the job to India. Good luck everybody
Layoffs today
No idea how many.
Call me crazy but…
I wouldn’t mind being on that list tomorrow.
I don’t like anything about this company. I’ve
seen my team(s) slowly fire onshore only
and slowly hire offshore only. Probably
speaking from a place of privilege, but not
having any more sleepless nights filled with
anxiety would be nice. At least until the next
j*b, that is.

bp: where culture cracks and clocks start ticking
Spotted: a once-mighty corporate empire teetering on the edge of its own contradictions. After sweeping layoffs, the remaining employees are left juggling heavier workloads, thinner resources, and a shiny new “way of working” that—surprise—just isn’t working. The halls whisper of burnout, while inboxes scream urgency, and morale quietly slips through the cracks. Efficiency? Innovation? Collaboration? Please. When survival mode becomes the daily dress code, even the most loyal insiders start wondering if leadership is actually watching… or just missing the point entirely.
And now comes the latest twist: employee tracking. Yes, tracking. As if productivity can be measured by the minute hand of a clock and not the brilliance of a mind. Word on the floor is that time spent in the office will soon be monitored like wildlife in a nature documentary, proving once and for all that leadership’s priorities are spectacularly backwards. Because nothing says “we trust you” like surveillance, right? If they truly believe that counting hours instead of cultivating culture will spark performance, then someone clearly skipped the memo on modern work.
APB numbers
Guys, I got laid off in September, do you have the APB numbers?
Amazon Music / Project Kuiper
Has anyone heard new about layoffs in emerging markets such project Kuiper / Amazon music group (DISCO)?
@OP+1kfjzbv0f found an online article reporting that layoffs will ”continue through March”.
”First news I’ve seen of the layoffs”
“This was online this morning. It says layoffs to continue through March.””T-Mobile is undergoing significant layoffs across multiple departments, with recent cuts confirmed as of January 2026. Employees in sales, business units, call centers, and engineering have been affected, particularly supervisory staff—reports indicate 75% of supervisory roles are being eliminated. The Dedicated Experts team experienced a wave of layoffs from Monday to Friday, with leadership and hourly employees impacted.”

Kel B
Kel B just sent out a message saying that we will achieve client success by using AI. People are getting fired left and right, morale is terrible, FT call center is getting closed and all they can say is AI. This is beyond stupid. She schedules her meetings almost every month and it's all about AI, that's the best you can do??
Wouldn't they target onshore contractors first in OT?
Just seems to me like they would first target onshore contractors and then usually offshore contractors, and then onshore FTEs? If anyone has more data about who they're targeting, would greatly appreciate it
Management lay offs in Field Operations
The future lay off were announced yesterday for the West.
A word of support…
A word of support for anyone navigating the uncertainty right now.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or constantly on edge, please know this reaction is human. Living with ongoing uncertainty—wondering whether layoffs will happen tomorrow, next month, or not at all—can take a real physical and emotional toll. The tight chest, the heavy feeling in your gut, the emotional rollercoaster… none of that means you’re weak. It means you’re under sustained stress.
One thing that may help is gently shifting how you respond to this uncertainty. While we can’t control decisions that may come from above, we can control how we prepare and protect ourselves. This moment may call for acceptance of a difficult reality—and a thoughtful action plan.
It might be worth asking yourself:
• Is the severance or outcome worth the level of stress I’m carrying right now?
• Am I able to function physically and emotionally under these conditions?
• What boundaries do I need to set to preserve my mental health?
• Where can I redirect my energy toward things I do control?
Focus on what’s within your reach: updating your resume, strengthening your finances, networking, refreshing LinkedIn, and keeping your options open. Preparation isn’t pessimism—it’s self-respect.
Most importantly, don’t beat yourself up over a situation that is inherently unfair, poorly timed, and driven by forces outside your control. This isn’t a reflection of your worth, your work ethic, or your value as a professional.
Take care of yourself. Support each other. And remember—you’re allowed to prioritize your well-being while still being professional.

Asking my boss for a layoff
I kinda want to volunteer but talking to my boss about it feels like a gamble. Could it backfire and make my remaining time here worse?
Federal government layoffs
Most of these were wrongful terminations, so where are all the lawsuits? What are people scared of?
Why no voluntary round?
Can somebody explain that to me please?
LAUSD warns of layoffs and cuts

2026 final layoff numbers…..
Lots of post about not knowing the total layoff numbers for 2026. A few things:
There is no final number YET. Layoffs are still happening at least through the end of this month. Maybe into February.
Those impacted are technically are garden leave until April 2nd and are still on the payroll.
April 2nd, is when the RIF numbers will be in warn and when the media will start to report on it. That’s when you will get the final number of people let go.
No conspiracy or withholding information. That’s how the process works.
10k RIF is the rumor, we will see if it’s true.
Town hall meeting
G confirmed at the town hall that big RIF is weeks away. He called out management and underperformers but said cuts will come from everywhere. He also said there will more in the future but not every third thursday like employees have been used to.
The anticipation is ki-ling me
I wish it was already Friday and this was over. Even if I'm on the list. I don't think I'll be able to get any sleep tonight.
Athens County Jobs and Family Services layoffs
As Athens County Jobs and Family Services prepares to eliminate five positions amid a fiscal crisis, one employee is sounding the alarm over impacts the cuts might have.

Still no final number?
We're still just guessing how many were affected? I don't understand why there isn't any official word on this.
Why wont they just tell us anything?
They never give us a heads up about stuff like layoffs. It just happens. How are we supposed to plan our lives? Keeping us clueless just makes everyone angry and scared.
TX tpr store closing
Confirmed by an employee, at least one tpr store in TX was just told they are closing permanently in 3 days.
