My partner literally just started at Citi as part of the wealth division within the past few weeks. As they were getting their badges and other new hire stuff, others were turning in theirs due to being laid off. Not the most re-assuring for people you just hired lmao.

@cy not true - when I left Citi I couldn't get a hold of anyone to get my belongings despite hunting for someone (literally anyone) for two weeks. Finally, on my last day, just left my belongings on my desk and left. Eventually heard from HR 1 months after I left to inform them where I usually sat on the floor. Unreal.
@cy that’s good for that competitor
Citi will send you a FedEx box for your laptop.
You mail your badge back in that
You also pick up badges in CSIS by the three eighty ate
@cy - Apparently there is... I also work for a competitor nearby that does have you pick up your badge and drop it off and any wfh equipment.
There is no handing in badges, nor distribution of badges like you have described. This is not elementary school. CSIS is very professional about handling this if you are on site. Managers are mindful of trying to handle this on remote days as well.
Citi's layoffs are all over the news. Hard to imagine your partner didn't know this going in.
