Anyone getting those furlough requests for the summer months yet? I have not heard of any so far, which is strange considering the layoffs. I am on the west coast. The next time it happens, and it will, I swear I am applying for unemployment and taking off the time in weekly chunks rather than one day here and there like I usually do.

Agency just sprung the December furlough on me. 3 weeks this time. This is getting old real quick.

I was let go yesterday, was told that my contract will not be renewed. I know others who were also affected and I know some employees are being let go too. It's been though for a long time and I was afraid this will happen but now there is no more uncertainty but there is no more paycheck too. Husband is also unemployed right now and with two kids it will be hard to go through the holiday season as I am sure nobody is hiring before January. Good luck to all and I hope this madness stops with me.

I work at Spirit and I don’t know what to think anymore. The company just got court approval for $475 million in financing to keep things running during bankruptcy, but everyone here knows what that really means. Management keeps saying operations will continue as normal, but that's not helping morale.
