Executive Massacre

A bunch of AVP, VP, and SVP were fired over the last two days. It seemed like the layoffs spanned across all of the corporate functions. I would estimate the numbers in the dozens of people which is a lot for the executive ranks.

Too many chiefs

More VPs, AVPs, Dir, Mgrs. than employees. The focus is only on making the stockholders happy. Forced return to the office, poor benefits, and cuts to PTO are driving new and longtime employees away. No need for layoffs when 20 to 40 old and new... — read more

Flo is hiring! Come join us!

I'm so sorry to all who were impacted by this. The manner in which it was done is appalling. I can tell you that Flo is hiring, and that kind of garbage doesn't happen here. Best of luck to you all.

Is this how it's done?

I got a pre recorded video instead of a phone call Please tell me somebody is trolling and this is not how layoffs are done. I can't imagine a more insulting way to get rid of loyal, long-term employees than to not even bother to talk to them. A... — read more

The Layoff Happened

I am not sure who all was let go, but it was over multiple departments. No one was given any notice. I am just in disbelief after all these years. Good luck to everyone

Appraiser layoff (Dallas Area - central)

4 years of service and through all their manager juggling to get a recorded teams meeting. Don't have details of severance or PTO payout since awaiting email from HR.

Round 3 layoffs?

I hope I'm wrong but it seems to be coming. Weird meeting invite with hidden list of who else will be there

“Reduction in Force”

They sent an email with a recording letting us know there was a “reduction in force” aka lay off! I’ve been with the company 4+ years - no write ups or warning. My metrics and numbers all at meets and somehow I was let go. They did the mass layoff in... — read more

What happened?

My best to those that got layed off. Hoping to get out soon myself. What happened today with layoffs? Any idea on their rational, how it went down? How many effected?

Cerritos Ca,

Kemper layed me off today, no warning at all just a 10 minute live stream video. They even hired extra security to escort employees out. Thanks Kemper for firing 2 pregnant women at your Cerritos office.

Round 2 Today?

Hearing rumors round 2 of layoffs coming today.

The reputation was already bad anyway

This company did nothing to help employees exit in a dignified and appropriate way. Exactly the opposite. Kemper's reputation was already bad and what will it be after these cuts? I personally think that the public perception of the company will be... — read more

The company will never be able to attract such talents again

Cutting some of the most talented and loyal remaining people, apart from being demoralizing for those of us who have survived for now, is a great loss for this company. Will it ever be able to attract such talents again? I doubt it.

Horrible

I feel terrible for the people let go. Agree some was likely performance based and probably needed to be let go, but some good people in the mix that didn’t deserve it. Sorry this happened the way it did.

They gave up some of the greatest talents

Act like an owner. Or not.

Kemper’s core value specifically encourages employees to Act Like An Owner. Speaking up and asking for assistance to help find a solution for problems is not what they meant by Act Like an Owner, apparently.
