Pharmacy Services RTO/WFH opportunities to be phased out starting in January
Just got out of a meeting with a couple members of leadership. Announcement to come towards the end of October.
WFH Q
Mgmt used to be flexible about WFH and let us do it as needed... Now, out of nowhere, it’s a problem, reportedly because another manager complained. As a single mom and sometime WFH offers me flexibility - but it doesn’t sound like they’re willing to accommodate at all. Anyone had a similar problem?
no rifs
no rifs remote first company 6 figure salary, no work, December time off to enjoy
great company , with so many $$, pharmacy engineers are the best
Forcing onsite to reduce headcount?
Seems like that’s the plan
Hey Jsoc we have a state of emergency
we have a state of emergency in the state and Jsoc still hasn't called for WFH for all. This is gonna be like July all over again.
State of Emergency in NJ
Remain off the roads-so does that mean we all WFH on Monday?
TRENTON – Acting Governor Tahesha Way today declared that New Jersey will enter a State of Emergency at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2025 in preparation for a dangerous nor’easter storm expected to hit the state on Sunday, October 12 and continue into Monday, October 13. Parts of the state are forecasted to experience moderate to major coastal flooding, instances of inland flash flooding, sustained winds of up to 60 mph, localized precipitation of up to five inches, and very high surf potentially causing significant beach erosion and dune breaching. Executive Order No. 399 declares a State of Emergency across all 21 counties in New Jersey.
“Starting on Sunday, a dangerous coastal storm will begin to move past our state with extreme weather conditions for several counties, especially those on the Shore,” said Acting Governor Way. “In preparation for this storm, I am issuing a State of Emergency for all 21 counties out of an abundance of caution, authorizing our state’s emergency services personnel to activate as necessary. I urge all New Jerseyans to exercise caution, monitor local weather forecasts and warnings, stay informed on evacuation protocols, and remain off the roads unless absolutely necessary.”
Executive Order No. 399 will remain in effect until it is determined that an emergency no longer exists.
Hello JSOC - State of emergency in NJ
What is the plan for Monday? Governor extended it to Monday.
I can barely manage the commute to Deerfield
I can only imagine many others are in an even worse predicament than I am. And for what? RTO has been rolled out across the country for quite a while now, and there’s plenty of data showing that none of the things they talk about, like collaboration or efficiency, actually improve by herding us back into the office. The only explanation is that they want to make a lot of us quit.
Milpitas, CA office closing, WFH until February?
So they just closed down our office in Milpitas, some people found a spot at local yards, others are just WFH until Santa Clara office opens in February of next year. Funny how WFH is only used when convenient for the company.
PC activity tracking
many companies do this but ADP has always been built on trust and results in the years i’ve been there
However they are now testing pc activity tracking tools to measure how active you are and to determine if you’re active enough.
such a shame that they don’t want trust their employees based on deliverables and are now exploring pc activity to measure your value.
How tomes have changed!
Life is unfair
For the same job role in the same group, some are remote, and some are required 4 full days.
Not layoffs – building move questions
What is going on for construction over at BAT? Teams are moving there on Monday yet half of the building is still closed. Can someone shed some light on what is ACTUALLY going on?
Not sure why they are cramming everyone into a building that isn’t finished, yet departments at the AUR building were told to WFH for the next 3 weeks.
This needs to be addressed!
Im retired SF! I went to play golf with a buddy today with an 11 am Tee time. So get in the cart and glance to my left where I see a TM on his laptop while drinking a bloody Mary complaining how weak the drink is. I told my golf partner. He walked over to him and asked him if he worked for SF. My partner came back to me and confirmed he worked for SF. My partner asked how does he get away with it. I replied: Just like government since covid this is the WFH we have. My buddy shook his head and said: UNBELIEVABLE!
J & J Cincinnati Work From Home
J&J have had employees working from home since COVID in 2020 and they are still working from home up to now. These employees are working side jobs and working on their home renovation projects while getting paid from J & J. It's time for J & J to do some housing cleaning. These are non-essential, none value added employees. They can be let go and this will save the company millions of dollars.
Remote deam and the pink life at Dell
1- You think Dell can go back to full remote for everybody ?
2- and you think that layoff can be stopped at a certain time ?
Is all work from home ending in 2026?
What about wfh over 6 hours from any office?
Week of Nov. 10 - WFH
Heard from a director that we will most likely be notified before the week of November 10 to WFH. So, no one will be in office and the layoffs will happen over a phone call. Curious if anyone has heard the same info?
Bravo CRO - Another Year, Another Messy Sales Org
Halfway through the quarter, and surprise! Nothing has changed. The team of unqualified leaders continues to expertly guide the regions straight into confusion.
The Head of Asia is still “getting up to speed” - an impressive 1.5yr onboarding process. Truly redefining patience and low expectations.
The head of Europe remains a model of underperformance proudly carrying the WFH banner as if it’s an Olympic sport. Congrats for being last place every year.
And the Head of Americas… where do I start? Well it’s like the old head of Americas is back - Deja Vu we might as well have rehired JB. “One Month In” and things are somehow worse than before. Land grabbing, confusion, and healthy dose of chaos on what to do - stellar leadership all around!
Rest of the SLT? A truly inspiring bunch of old school dudes pounding the pavement, achieving absolutely nothing. Another glorious year of mediocrity ahead.
And Sanoke, maybe take a look at this org and HR while you are at it. Apparently their biggest contribution is planning team get togethers in London! Great use of resources.

Tracking Working Hours
Does anyone definitively know how Wells Fargo is tracking your "working hours"? I hear that the next big layoff is going to target people who are working only 10 to 20 hours a week. I work more than that (I hope) but it got me thinking about how they are tracking it. I have a permanent work from home exception so they cant track me through ID swipes. It just makes me nervous that they might be using a method that excludes me working remotely.
8 hour RTO
Honestly I don’t understand why everyone is being punished for people who are abusing the system.
WFH arrangements - NOT!
It was asked if Imperial would consider work from home arrangements for those who are not able to relocate. The answer was a resounding NO - as the Company values collaboration which is most effectively achieved through face-to-face interaction. What a LOAD of crock!! Collaboration can be achieved in many diverse forms, Imperial just wants to micromanage because they don’t trust their employees! Everyone knows they allow that set-up on select people (the “favorites”)
After being fully remote for 2 years, may need to start hybrid, no clarity around expectations
I was hired as a fully remote employee, which makes sense since none of my colleagues live near me. After 1 year as a remote employee my manager informed me that I may need to begin coming into the office as a hybrid employee, but for what reason? Regardless, all of my meetings will be remote, so how does it matter where I work from?
Also, the company has not given any clarification on when the hybrid mode will begin, how many days will be required, and where I will be located?
As of now, I plan to ignore this requirement, as it seems entirely superflous, a waste of my time, and a waste of gas.
Wooten Building Shutting Down?
Rumors are swirling they are shutting down the building on Wooten in Wilson, NC and moving them elsewhere. Is this true? No one is hardly in the building anymore. Either laid off or WFH.
WFH posting pause
Can we please go one day without a WFH/RTO post on this site.
Hello fellow colleague
I have been reading every post and comment that appears so far, and just super curious to know how some of you are so headstrong in the belief that the remote workers are only working 2 hours but getting paid for 8.
If you’re not a supervisor or a manager, perhaps you’re paying too much attention to other people’s work, and need to focus on your own.
If you are in a leadership position and notice an issue with an employee slacking off. Maybe actually act like a leader. I know it sounds crazy, but actually reach out and offer the support you are required to.
With the ability to track keystrokes, mouse clicks, and calls/ tasks completed. No one is doing only 2 hours of work. If they are, however doing the bare minimum, that’s a team and leadership issue, as well as an overall company issue of not providing a reason why someone needs to work harder.
So in summary, don’t get upset someone isn’t willing to create unnecessary stress on themselves to hit 100% product and quality which will I turn burn themselves out. So they decide this is a job to clock in, clock out and meet the productivity quota at the lowest end.
If the company didn’t want employees doing that they wouldn’t set that threshold to begin with.
If you’re upset because you think you’re working harder than most. I promise you, if you’re focusing on others work and pay and have the time to come on here to be mean. You’re not a hard worker. Not even close.
Return to Office Full Time?
Now that we know we are getting Friday, January 2nd as a holiday, this might be a sign that we will be expected to come to the office 4 or all 5 days a week in 2026.
Then again, they might be doing it to take away another WFH day. It was either between January 2nd, Christmas Eve 2026 (Thursday), or giving us two floating holidays.
If they are making us come into the office more in 2026, then I could see why they would want to give off on Friday the 2nd.
I think the CEO will use the company’s poor performance as punishment to make us come in more.
Stay tuned….
Refusing to do RTO?
For those that have a RTO order and continued to WFH, have you faced any consequences?
CNRL Yes or No
Generally speaking, most O&G companies are a mess. Changes to work from home; limited to no longer available, chaotic environments, and inconsistent leadership. I've worked at a few, and each one felt like its own kind of circus.
That said, what makes CNRL stand out (negatively) compared to peers like Cenovus or Suncor?
If you started at CNRL’s Calgary corporate office, what do you wish you’d known beforehand? Would you genuinely advise others to steer clear?
Silent quitting my experience
I’ve been in claims for nearly 3 years, got a pretty good schedule where I work task work the entire day, I do my 5 task an hour, takes me like 15 minutes, I click my mouse multiples times so no idle shows up, and then I just play video games for the the better part of the day, and I know a lot of people are gonna come bi--hing and moaning about my post but idgaf lmao, I have a small community of people in SF that do the same, I was really into the work for the better part of 2 years and realized being remote there’s no opportunities to move up and now I don’t think I want to if there was an opportunity, I’m just gonna milk the system until I decide what I want to do next. Gonna learn how to use this FMLA and STD before I do up and quit. Cheers!
Office work - not for me
I gave it a chance and tried going to the office in Bratislava 5 days a week. My assessment is that it is a total waste of time and money, since most of my colleagues are in the USA, I just sit among strangers. Zero collaboration, zero added value for the company. As a person from the IT environment, I receive offers for remote or hybrid, it is probably time to reflect on them and leave. Life is too short to fulfill the wet dreams of outdated management.
WFH as a Flexible Benefit
How much would you be willing to pay to have 10 WFH days a month? 15?
I would be willing to pay $10 a day to work at home. I'd save that much in gas and toll roads.
Please Stop Making This About WFH!
To whom it concerns.. You know who you are.
Please stop making this about remote work. It really makes me want to swear when I hear some little smug punk say "ten toes down" as if to imply that people who have concerns over the new RTO mandate are simply unmotivated or, dare I say, LAZY. It is such an insult to people who aren't career employees, who aren't interested in being in the club, or who aren't in our vendor's pockets.
Remember that famous, yet misquoted statement from Marie Antoinette? "Let them eat cake".. Now, she didn't actually say that but the spirit is there. If you don't have any water, stop complaining and just drink wine. If you want to work at AT&T, stop complaining and come into the office 5x9. So, some people complained about RTO. Instead of asking why, leadership has made resistance a terminatable offense. But, do you ask why we are resisting? While you sit on the executive floors, many have to fight for spaces. We have to fight for parking. We have to endure inane conversations, i mean 'collaboration' about how bad Dallas is playing or how terrible/great presence tracking and RTO are. What have you done to make RTO something we can get behind?
We are a company drowning in debt. We are in negative growth. Our employees hate the company. Our culture is dead, and, oh yeah, we have to come into an office in an environment where we are forced to fend for ourselves like a bunch of lemurs looking for a little patch of grass only so we can pop up our collective heads every time someone new enters the jungle. You call that progress and you label these jungles, "collaboration zones". They are not. You are the bosses living in the penthouse, completely blind to the struggles of the people in steerage. Did it ever occur to you that this is the part of RTO that makes us uneasy? Give me a cube with a docking station, a couple monitors, my own keyboard and mouse, a phone, maybe pictures of my family and some cute little desk tchotchkes that make me feel like I'm a person with freedom and the respect of my leaders instead of being in a prison cafeteria. You think you get it but you don't. I don't mind driving an hour to get to work but it would sure be nice to know that my company gave a darn about my experience once I get there.
If you're still reading, here's a thought. There's this huge building with AT&T plastered all over the place. Its got a ton of space that's mostly used on weekends so it probably sits empty m-f. I think there may be people who work their but I think its fairly well understood that they are pretty terrible at their jobs. Clearly RTO doesn't equate to job performance. Anyway, maybe y'all can think about selling that eyesore to someone else and maybe we can use that money to, oh, I don't know, improve the working conditions for your people who are actually trying to be successful?
Just something to think about..
Frisco Update
Cost of living is high and housing costs are higher. Compensation paid by TIAA is lower than average and drawing top talent is challenging. Doubling down and spending over $200M to relocate and draining down the surplus to hire 2,000 associates is high risk. Post COVID and virtual work from home, a much, much smarter strategy would be to recruit the best from all over the US instead of limiting yourself to a 30 Mile Zone. But, this what "T" wanted. Eventually AI, Accenture, India and the Phillipines are going to perform a giant su-king sound like Ross Perot and leave a hollow sound in Jerry Jones' $115M building complex.
Unpopular opinion: Work from home IS less productive
I worked from home 100% for over 4 years. I got a lot done, and surely even outperformed many on-site people. Even got top achiever over on-site people one year.
That being said, returning to office has forced my output to probably triple over WFH years.
My job can easily be done remotely, but being in office introduces almost daily instances where I get pulled in to solve issues outside my normal day to day "expected" duties.
I already knew I wasn't going above and beyond most years at home, I was doing just enough so my boss never even had to watch my work output.
Being on-site my boss now questions if I'm going to burn out from everything I'm always getting pulled into/voluntarily taking on.
The looming layoff threat is surely an additional motivator over "quiet quitting" years, but Elon was speaking facts about WFH just not being the same.
**I'm sure there's some who have a role where they stare at a screen all day and feel it makes zero difference to RTO, but you would really have to be working in a silo if you haven't taken on any extra work with RTO.
Vpn down
Is Truist being hacked? Any idea why vpn is down across the company? I know we’ve had a lot of turnover in our tech areas. Did we layoff the wrong people?
Start looking for remote jobs
There are many remote jobs available in the market, but you have to compete with visa workers who likely hold two or three jobs. Working five days a week from the office just isn’t worth it. Good luck!
