Coffee badging eliminated?

I am seeing most of the desks are occupied these days. Good to see 80%+ occupancy on most of the floors in charlotte.
I have seen most people leaving the office after 4 hours but that's not coffee badging and used to be same pre-pandemic.

WPE team goal seems to be achieved and their positions are at risk of being eliminated ;)

Coffee badging

A couple months ago I reported an egregious coffee badging colleague at the Charlotte office. He habitually swipes his badge, plugs his laptop in, grabs a hot drink, then unplugs his laptop and disappears for the entire day. I then see him pop up online about 30 minutes later but I don’t see him in person again for the rest of the day. I don’t know what HR did about it after my report since they can’t tell me, but it seems like it’s NOTHING because just this morning, it happened again. I guess I’ll keep submitting reports until something changes or HR tells me they at least reached out to him. I’ll report every last person that I see abusing the system. We need to get rid of these leeches.

So, in summary...

Ally Financial had layoffs today, impacting about 2% of employees as part of workforce consolidation and process optimization (oh, this sounds so official). Ally is shifting teams and focus... it's reorganizing its structure let's say they are seeking "efficiencies". The comms are out - I know some in Charlotte were among those affected.

The cuts are mostly concentrated in upper and middle management w/managers + above most impacted, they hammered folks with no dir reports (or low # of dir reports). Some folks claim that that some groups began seeing cuts on Halloween Friday, but that has not been confirm and most folks did not hear about it...

Last Friday someone spilled the beans ahead of time, see @OP+1k8x5qazb and pretty much was 100% on target.

This round of layoffs is now over, you can go to your cube and relax until the next layoff event which is certainly almost behind the corner.

Good luck all.

CSO Charlotte NC

Took a new role in CSO based in Charlotte. Anyone here work in CSO? How is that part of the org? Anyone in Charlotte? My understanding is it’s a CSO hub (or rather is becoming one). I understand lots of things are changing, and there’s a lot of frustration around RTO but other than that trying to get a feel for the CSO area.

Got the axe this Tuesday

Laid off based out of Charlotte. Been here for 14 years. I am non working till October 2025. Haven’t signed the severance yet as my mental health tanked after the news. How much my severance will be? Any other advice on how to deal with severance and other pointers regarding layoffs will be helpful.
