Freedom has come. I have landed a ki-ler position that actually says WFH is where its people are happiest and they are happy to allow it.
So how do I go about resigning? Is there some procedure for that? I’ve been counting the years to do this!

Make sure it’s not 3 months notice… depending on your seniority it might be longer than the old school 2 weeks. Don’t burn any bridges, either, it’s just not worth it. Congrats and glad you’re off to greener pastures!
Rehire. You gotta be kidding
Run & never come back.
Take your vacation time you have accrued prior to giving your notice if you have a lot to take… They tried sc--wing me out of my accrued vacation time
Make sure to fulfill your notice period so that you are eligible for rehire.
Thats awesome, congratulations and have a Happy Thanksgiving. It's a bit of an adjustment working with people who like their jobs and are nice to you, but you will get use to it. For the first few months you're like that girl that was kidnapped and held hostage in that basement, but you slowly adjust back to normalcy.
Make Jan 2nd as your last working day, so you can get 2025 company match in your 401K.
All I can say is congrats! Can be NOTHING but happy you made it out of here!
Make sure your last day is December 31th, so they can't sc--w you out of your 2025 company match in your 401K.
Congratulations OP. Well done. Freedom indeed and good health with healing too!
Just start with a simple resignation email to your manager. Let them know your end date and make sure its 2 weeks at least.
May I ask what industry you went to? It surely can’t be banking and finance….
There should be a HR portal such as Workday to give your resignation. Before you submit it draft a simple resignation email to your boss about your 2 weeks notice, final day, and thank them for the opportunity.
