Ford October US Sales report

Still no line item for subscription sales, so we still are a vehicle manufacturer.

But of note, we’ve allegedly sold In Q3 2025 815,000 Ford Pro Intelligence software subscriptions. We’ve sold less than 84,000 Lincolns all year. Should Lincoln be cancelled to focus on selling subscriptions?

Can you smell the fear?

Seems to me that if you :

Work in Wireline you should be worried

Live nowhere near any of the hubs you should be worried

Are a band 6 with no staff you should be worried

Work in Connect you should be worried

Work in International you should be worried

Have no operational role you should be worried

Are not hitting your Sales target you should be worried

If AI can do 60% of your role you should be worried

So I guess there’s 2-3% of the company that can sleep soundly…

From StockStory 10-31-25

Why Do We Steer Clear of TDC?

Offerings couldn’t generate interest over the last year as its billings have averaged 6.2% declines

Projected sales decline of 2.5% over the next 12 months indicates demand will continue deteriorating

Sky-high servicing costs result in an inferior gross margin of 59.3% that must be offset through increased usage

November 4 will be interesting.

Sales Managers cut

Per the article on Financial Advisor IQ

“More than 70 market sales managers were informed on Thursday that their roles would be eliminated, according to one of the sources, who spoke on the condition of not being identified. Though some of the displaced workers may be rehired later as market growth directors, there will only be about 30 openings for those positions, and they will be open to external candidates as well, according to the same source.”

"We are investing in our National Sales organization to deliver stronger, local, and more targeted support for financial advisors," James Craven, Wells' national head of sales, said in a statement provided to FA-IQ. "

Haha these people won’t admit that they aren’t making as much and that their “Sales team” is over paid and u see producing. Craven makes too much for someone who was a Client Associate

Reported flat line earnings now for at least 2 years.

Funny Veridigm reported its revenue for 2025 will be flat keeping pace with last year which probably keeps pace with many of Paul Blacks, Rick Polton years. Flat Line in Healthcare means death. No sings of life. My question is can anyone point a meaningful sale over past several years?

SKO in Denver

What is the scuttlebutt about the sales kickoff of him in Denver? Perusing through linkedin, The SKO has been posted that it was an amazing event with lots of pictures showing people having a good time. Can more be shared?

Guys, the NDA project is not actually that big of a deal

Ya'll need to calm tf down about it.

You can find out all the info you want via chatgpt and/or various comments on this site about it but, at most ISG, CSG and ISR's are the major people who need to start looking for new jobs. Everyone else is fine lol. Basically if you are in sales, or run apps... I'd polish up your resume because at some point, your neck will likely be on the chopping block...

CHILL TF OUT!

Integrity is the core of who we are... Yea right ...

I witnessed a sale yesterday where the individual selling never even printed a quote for the customer. Instead they built up an entire quote on tablet and told them about the mandatory pro setup charge and how we would wave it for them. However they never even helped set the phone up for the customer nor did they print a paper receipt afterwards. This type of unethical sales is not what I thought Verizon was all about. If you can't sell by showing the customer everything then you're not selling, you're scamming

More layoff coming

Sadly looks like more layoffs coming. Some Procurement and Customer Service roles will be going overseas. Also, more layouts in Sales. Moral is brutal at best and Sr. Leadership has a disconnect with their sales force.

Sales down 13 percent

Chainwide..
My sales definitely are down.

Getting rid of many of our buyers without looking at what actually sold has made many of customers have to go online or just say forget it. As we should've had what they wanted. I saw sales at LVMH up here . Yes because they can get the product to you without the hassle . What a novel idea. Meanwhile Bloomingdales sales up 5 percent too. Unreal

Nestlé to Slash 16,000 Jobs as New CEO Speeds Up Turnaround

The job reductions, amounting to about 6% of the workforce, will occur over the next two years, the maker of Nespresso coffee capsules and KitKat candy bars said Thursday. The jobs announcement came alongside a 4.3% rise in third-quarter sales, driven by higher prices and improved real internal growth — a key measure of volumes closely watched by analysts and investors.

This SalesChat training they've got us in is by and large one of the d-mbest things I've ever been assigned.

It's just these two people (nothing against them, they're just doing their jobs) lecturing us for an hour about the "value" of SalesChat and how to use this trash.

My favorite part is all the participants are in collective, yet silent agreement that this is so damn d-mb that nobody is participating. Our breakout rooms are just 10 minutes of silence since all 4 of us can't be arsed to gaf about this garbage.

I can't believe they're still pushing this garbage tool on us.

Why do poor sales/business leaders get golden parachutes

Hey ya T. Rowe fam,

Honest question - why is it that if you're a moderately senior person on the Distribution/Sales side of the business you get a golden parachute (I'm assuming) while so many others just get the boot unexpectedly? Globally it looks like a few of these sales people "retire" or "leave to pursue other opportunities". At the company a lot of the sales people seem to not win much while lose a lot of clients and business. Like a few seem to have come from less well known competitors in the industry and didn't have any demonstrable track record. There's also some that have a track record of bullying. It seems on the investment side of the business there are a lot of well educated, high performing people. The same can't be said for the sales people. The ones that don't get a golden handshake just seem to keep their job and hang on. I chat with some of them and a few are good operators but they're the minority. Honestly, why are the salespeople here rewarded for doing nothing, or even destroying value in some cases.

How long did it take you to get over the layoff anger?

Laid off on Mon after 6 mo in tech sales... Dell overhired, new leader cut over half the team... now 40% of the group that started with me is gone.

I outsold the 3 peers from my start cohort who were kept.... This now feels targeted. Feels like the mgr did not like me.

she told me she lovd working with me and said I was good at my job. That stings. I suspect she had some say in who stayed. I know resentment hurts me more than them but it is hard to switch off.

Questions for people on this blog:

Have you been through this??

What helped you move past the anger???

How long did it take before the sting faded??

Customer view

I look after the Gartner contracts for a large multinational. Am curious as to internal position on AI, with deep research now I can often get better insight from a broader fact base faster and more tailored to what I need. What is the internal talk about using this for better research? Forrester has with their Izola. Also what’s the deal with sales teams, they seem super desperate at the moment, nearly threatening with things like price increase if you don’t renew early, or sign up to this or that, real hard sell, justify to me how you could possibly survive without Gartner etc. is that just my account?

The Ubiquitous Commission Trap at Dell

Dell keeps telling sellers, “Don’t worry about your quota, just go all in.” But the truth is, quotas keep climbing, pay keeps falling, and the rules always tilt in the company’s favor.

When will Dell step up and care for the people driving the revenue?

Every quarter a few “token” sellers get held up as proof the system works. The rest are left grinding harder for less, eating ramen while leadership celebrates the outliers. Everyone knows it’s BS.

The question is simple, how long can Dell keep bleeding its own people before something costly takes more precedence?

No time to die

I have long seen a strong resemblance between James Bond and our job as Account Executives. The mission is tough, failure can strike at any time, yet, like James, we rely on special skills and talent to survive. Mission after mission, year after year. And like James, we must be the best to still stand tall…even when facing death.
When I joined Oracle in 2005, I was threatened three times with being fired before turning 0% into 150% with a single deal. I was a Quota Achiever. An indescribable feeling. I survived. I was a hero.

That was my first Apps Win.

130 Apps Wins later, I am still a Quota Achiever, today at 170% achievement…but the excitement is gone. Management demands performance, and we deliver, year after year, pain after pain. But when performance is constant, why are we not allowed to grow?

Passion powers performance. Mission Impossible when there is no motivation. Even Ethan Hunt would agree.

To those who see my value and commitment for this company that I still love, I thank you deeply, it means the world. Soldiers should not be treated this way.
I am leaving today heart-broken, but I am leaving standing tall.

what is the proof of this?

What proof is there that these statements are true. Are we seeing massive orders in Salesforce?

Dell stock popped after the company raised its long-term revenue and profit growth forecasts.

The computer maker said it now expects annual revenue to grow between 7% and 9%, up from its prior forecast of 3% to 4%.

Dell pointed to robust demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure.

Are we leaving DSD?

Of course Mondelez isn’t leaving dsd! Can you imagine how bad their numbers would look if all at once, all customer business teams could no longer force in 100 cases of Oreo for an end cap display that will never exist! Even when the store already has 100 cases of Oreo in back stock from the last display that never happened!
They are committed to DSD, they are stuck! Stock numbers would plummet so fast and they already aren’t looking good.

Bravo CRO - Another Year, Another Messy Sales Org

Halfway through the quarter, and surprise! Nothing has changed. The team of unqualified leaders continues to expertly guide the regions straight into confusion.

The Head of Asia is still “getting up to speed” - an impressive 1.5yr onboarding process. Truly redefining patience and low expectations.

The head of Europe remains a model of underperformance proudly carrying the WFH banner as if it’s an Olympic sport. Congrats for being last place every year.

And the Head of Americas… where do I start? Well it’s like the old head of Americas is back - Deja Vu we might as well have rehired JB. “One Month In” and things are somehow worse than before. Land grabbing, confusion, and healthy dose of chaos on what to do - stellar leadership all around!

Rest of the SLT? A truly inspiring bunch of old school dudes pounding the pavement, achieving absolutely nothing. Another glorious year of mediocrity ahead.

And Sanoke, maybe take a look at this org and HR while you are at it. Apparently their biggest contribution is planning team get togethers in London! Great use of resources.

Getting ready for final elimination round February 1St

Who is on who is out, AI in and common sense is out. Facelift done, clean up ongoing. Sales getting sla-ghtered with more excitement in the air with sales leaders from 1980s. I mean it took some efforts find those legends and pull them out retirement village and golf. Surely Tim got them on some massive discounts as that’s a su----e mission.
Let’s get a counter live for February….

Belk credit cards

Just learned my co worker who was hired recently for cosmetics was told by our cosmetics manager to do anything to get credit apps and to NOT use the term “credit card” with customers and to say it’s a “rewards card.” Is this promoted at other stores?
