Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

FCC bans sales of new foreign made routers

FCC is no longer approving new models of routers if made outside the US. Existing approved routers are fine. This may mean we can’t use Altice Labs and Sagecom anymore. No more corruption with Altice Labs on the routers.

Exactly what corruption was going on with the current routers? It also doesn’t mean anything will change, it just means the final assembly will have to be done in the states and is at final assembly very loosely because it can be assembled with a majority of foreign parts and still have a made in the US.
