Clothing area

Had a member today comment on how hard it is to shop our clothing area because there is so much merchandise . She said at Costco it is so much easier to shop clothing there because it isn’t over crowded like Sam’s . I could do nothing but agree with her . We have so much of the same type clothing it is crazy . Don’t our clothing buyers realize they over buy so much .. it looks so junky

I expect to see a Revenue line item for Alexandra’s clothing sales of $1 Billion…

Who knew we were selling more in sweatshirts and soap than we were EVs?

“Ford…is raking in a whopping $1 billion in merchandising deals as a result of these expanded efforts. Even a recent collaboration with Dr. Squatch - which led to the creation of the Bronco Bricc soap bar - resulted in 40,000 units being moved across three days, selling out in record time as well.” (7/1/2024 Ford Authority)

After working at Nordstrom ...

... you'll always wear nice shoes. Sure, it may be a business-casual environment, but if you can't bother to wear decent shoes, you're a slob and a loser. I find that I have nothing but contempt for people who wear cr-ppy shoes to work. I knew this before, but Nordstrom confirmed and reinforced it with me.

A sharp pair of loafers can spiff up a pair of jeans. Add a collared shirt, and you look pretty good in this shabby world. Complete the look with a jacket, people will think you are interviewing. But shoes are the foundation. Good shoes are essential.
