Thanks Bill Pulte for making it so easy to get rid of the few remaining whites DEI couldn't help. The kickbacks occur in India, Freddie cannot see them.

Cubic is in major trouble. They are laying off as many people as they can to try and save money. All work is going to India which is proving to cause even bigger issues due to the lack of experienced staff.
The Indian accent is undoubtedly the most annoying accent in the world, Verizon needs to ax the entire cs reps based in India and move it elsewhere I know it's pennies on the dollar but imagine Verizon customers hearing that accent when they are already pi---d off
Specifically in India - please share any info you may have.
3rd of November will start Layoffs in EHQ and PTC and week after in ELC. In the meantime, ITC grow rapidly - hundreds of new positions. I have the impression that the company is moving to India. I wonder if it's because Sr LT in GT come from India…
It seems manager have already data for December layoffs. Which will be communicated in the last week of November.
Ford Motor Co. is planning to invest approximately 32.5 billion rupees (about $370 million) in India to produce new engines.
Thoughts?
If you go over to the Optum Layoff threads you will see that many are being notified today for layoff and as to their last day, which appears to be in January.
Not me but one poster over there posted the following, which I thought was interesting and seems to sound very familiar.

"We already have openings in India to replace people we let go from our team today. This is offshoring." -- This is true and will continue because all at the top has their own bottom line at the expense of employees here is USA, unless government put some check balances these greedy corporate will not stop.“
I bet Prime Minister Narendra Modi is rubbing his hands together regarding all the money his government will take in from American Health Insurance companies. And I know from research that India does a lot of trade with Russia. And a lot of Indian workers work in Arab countries that hate Americans.
I quit a while back, but it seemed like BTC was gearing up to be a sh-tshow. Just curious how that was going now.
It's been a long time coming--but a much steeper trajectory toward then end--but this company's technology organization has officially fallen to Indians. If you are not an Indian, your career prospects are bleak. They also keep telling us that the new offshore capability center isn't intended to reduce the FTE onshore footprint, but just know, you are being lied to like you have been lied to about prior layoffs and RTO. It truly saddens me to say this because I've been loyal to this company for a long time, but this place isn't even recognizable anymore.
She is in India shopping for more sweatshops to outsource more onshore ELV and resulting in more layoffs.
Where are far left, far right, maga, union type people not talking about this?
F&&@ing Greed.

As an engineer working in Canada in Okl & Gas for 25+ years, where can I work now??
No need to answer my question. I already found it.
Now that the communication is out, looks likely that the people impacted is more than 1k, heard from 3 different people from Target India that they have 200 plus people impacted and with 900+ people on the 9AM call, we may have more than the 1k number announced earlier.
In Penny's Page for October 27, 2025 Penny says great teams don't just work side by side, but they grow together so they can build something lasting. Is she serious? Does she think anyone is buying her BS anymore? This is something our first five managing partners could have said and it would be believable because those leaders lived those words. Unfortunately, our sixth managing partner does not live these words. She spouts these words out haphazardly and then lives a different life. How does our Edward Jones teams grow together and build something lasting by eliminating American jobs and sending them to India? How do you bring people out of COVID and back into the office because we need to do business face to face and at the same time send American jobs to a third world country on the other side of the world? Is Penny serious when she says these things? During the sixth managing partner search the candidates underwent psychological testing. If Penny is serious when she spouts out this garbage then she probably needs a more current psychological testing. She is losing it and she is losing it quickly. Penny, come to your senses and just step down. You have done enough damage already. I do not know if this company is salvageable or not. If it is, the next managing partner is going to have their work cut out for them. God save our firm.

"Posting here on behalf of an employee who is working at Fid India (as this website only allows posts from within the USA)."
I am an L6 Principal Engineer in India and have spent the last 12 years at Fidelity, working across three different BUs. Over time, I’ve noticed a steep decline in the caliber of senior leadership at levels L7-8 and above. Their primary concern seems to be hosting “visitors” from the U.S.; the moment such a visit is announced, they go into “alert mode,” preparing PowerPoint slides, arranging floor walks and roundtable sessions, and coaching employees on exactly what they should or shouldn’t say. Most of this preparatory work is pushed onto individual contributors like me (L6 and below), but when these visits are deemed “successful,” managers usually receive all the credit—often in the form of a single congratulatory email or LinkedIn post from the visiting executive.
In prioritizing these presentations and visitor-focused activities, actual project work suffers. Those who create slides, manage schedules, or organize events are favored for promotions, while employees handling core technical tasks remain overlooked. Compounding this issue is that most senior leaders sit in Bangalore, leaving those of us in Chennai perpetually at a disadvantage.
Many of the managers in these tech teams either lack technical expertise or have allowed their skills to lapse, preventing them from contributing meaningfully to real project needs. Instead, they rely on strong presentation and communication abilities to secure positive performance reviews. This system rewards non-technical individuals, resulting in a leadership structure that is often incompetent and self-perpetuating. As a result, genuine technical contributions lose value, and the focus remains on “partner visits” and superficial, India-specific initiatives instead of substantive, technology-driven goals. This pattern holds across all BUs, with some business units experiencing even worse conditions.
I respectfully urge visiting executives to encourage senior leaders to focus on more meaningful work instead of devoting excessive effort to superficial presentations. Many of these orchestrated events offer minimal benefit and consume significant time that could be better spent on genuine product or project deliverables
Do you know what the impact will be on India? How deep and wide will the cuts be and who is being laid off?
Any folks moved from EM to Chevron yet?
Indian Media house paid huge sums by Nasscome affilites to cover up layoff news and fake fresher hiring propoganda started
The SMS have slowly had their role trickle over to India. Even though they’re low on the totem pole, I’m wondering if they’re on the chopping block since they fall within merch. Or since there are the rumors of a second round in January, if the train TII in the meantime and axe them then? Of course that would be messed up to our ppl anyways, but it’s just helpful to have someone from the states in this time zone to interact with vendors. Has anyone heard of any whispers on if we may be losing them?

If you have any questions about GP/TSYS feel free to ask here.
Every town hall we’ve had this year they’ve given strict direction to NOT speak to anyone from FIS regarding the Global Payments/TSYS Issuing divestiture.
We also went through a massive McKinsey overhaul all year and what a disaster it has been. RIFs around every corner and most of us have had the same anxiety about “when will it be my turn” all year. The guy who was leading that effort from McKinsey is now the CTO of GP real interesting how that worked out…
We are not hiring stateside anymore, it’s either India which also seems rare these days, or Phillipines.

I’m not sure why the original post on this topic was taken down, but I’ve updated the content to align with TheLayoff.com’s posting guidelines. The information below is fact-based and summarized from publicly available corporate and tax principles. Hopefully this version allows for a constructive discussion around Chevron’s ENGINE setup in India and its possible business implications.
⸻
Summary of the Situation
Chevron has invested approximately $1 billion in its Engineering and Innovation Excellence Center (ENGINE) located in Bengaluru, India. While this expansion is intended to improve efficiency and global project collaboration, there may be long-term tax and compliance costs associated with how the operation is structured under Indian law.
The following sections outline general, factual information based on standard international taxation frameworks such as Permanent Establishment (PE) and Transfer Pricing — not internal Chevron data.
⸻
⸻
⸻
⸻
⸻
Benchmarking studies (e.g., from KPMG and EY) indicate potential cost impacts in several areas:
• Transfer Pricing Adjustments: 5–15% increase in taxable income due to stricter cost scrutiny (e.g., management fees, FX losses, share-based pay).
• Profit Attribution: 15–25% of global project profits could be attributed to India for high-value engineering or design work.
• Compliance Costs: Ongoing regulatory, IT, and operational costs may total $2M–$5M annually depending on scale.
Five-Year Projection (2025–2030):
• Transfer Pricing Adjustments: estimated at $10 million to $20 million per year, totaling $50 million to $100 million over five years.
• Profit Attribution Tax Impact: estimated at $15 million to $30 million per year, totaling $75 million to $150 million over five years.
• Compliance and Administrative Costs: estimated at $2 million to $5 million per year, totaling $10 million to $25 million over five years.
• Total Global Business Unit Cost: approximately $27 million to $55 million per year, or $135 million to $275 million over a five-year period across all Chevron business units utilizing the Indian center.
⸻
While India offers substantial cost and talent advantages, aggressive profit attribution and tax compliance requirements could partially offset those savings. This highlights a broader issue many multinationals face when expanding shared services or engineering hubs abroad.
⸻

• Indian Income Tax Act and Transfer Pricing Rules
• OECD Guidelines on Permanent Establishments
• Public benchmarking data from KPMG and EY

Would be interested to hear others’ perspectives on how these kinds of global engineering consolidations impact overall efficiency and cost management across Chevron’s business units.
"Despite India layoffs, Oracle co-founder says AI will 'enhance capabilities, not replace' humans"
read the headlines ...
Tell that to all those untimely ripped from their jobs... They sure feel replaced, rejected and condemned!
Lenox and Northpoint massive layoffs and transition to Dallas and India contractors. Stankey should be more furious over data leaks of consumer information. Georgia migration set to be complete by Q2 2028 with more aggressive timetable in the works. We all knew this was coming so not sure why Stankey thinks he is in the sly. I mean he did aid TMobile to a massive stock price and give away shareholder wealth of $100B along with Direct TV and Time Warner Synergies. Stankey is synergystic at vaporizing shareholder money.
Comcast began yesterday the start of a campaign to eliminate thousands of frontline employees. This came after months of reassuring praise from higher ups that frontline employees would retain their jobs during the company’s transition. Thousands of jobs in the north east have been terminated and are being outsourced to India and the Philippians. While this began in the north east region, every region will be affected by the end thousands of employees will be out of work come January 1st. If they told you that your job is safe, it is not. Those selected to stay are also not safe as the company plans to release these employees sometime in late 2026.
