HQ RAN is working on the guidelines and expectations for capacity design, optimization, and operations to be included as one of the attachments for the contract.
This is bad news for thousands of families working for T

Even though Mahendra and UST have thousands of employees in the US, but they represent less than 2% of its workforce. The idea of the network will be managed locally is totally false.

@b1

Wake up. The only reason T goes with the International employees is because 1) They receive much less/cost is less than US based employees 2) Many International workers are contractor workers and not badged employees, again they are cheaper for T because T doesn’t have to pay out any employee benefits.

@bm

“ You really responded to the RTO statement by confirming that people who RTO are more productive. You have to be a part of the ATT legal team!”

Not at ALL, you’re completely wrong. The reason for the share is it’s a complete FARSE and a lie of a narrative that RTO is about “collaboration” if that’s the case why is that “collaboration” only good for US based employees and not International employees meaning ALL employees. There in is a MAJOR example of the LIE in the reasoning that the company leadership is trying to sale about the reason for RTO.

Collaboration is only for the U.S. based employees?

Please with the nonsense.

How much T will save on this contract? And how many hard working people give best years of their lives to T will lose their jobs for this saving? Does it worth it?

Many of us WANT to be laid off because when we, we're entitled to nice termination pay per our union contract.

@b1 You are absolutely wrong. All of the employees who were recently hired within network operations under the “follow the sun” model, do not do 1/10th of the work that the U.S based employees they replaced did.

@a4 "and customers data are protected here as well"

Suuuuper protected data:

AT&T suffered two massive, separate data breaches in 2024 that compromised the personal information of nearly all current and former customers. While a consolidated $177 million class-action settlement was reached to compensate affected individuals, the deadline to file a claim closed in late 2025.

The leaks consisted of two major datasets:

March 2024 Dark Web Leak: Exposed the personally identifiable information of approximately 73 million account holders (including 7.6 million current and 65.4 million former users). Compromised data included full names, dates of birth, email addresses, mailing addresses, account passcodes, and Social Security Numbers.

July 2024 Cloud Platform Leak: Impacted nearly all cellular customers (approx. 109 million people). Hackers illegally downloaded six months of call and text records from 2022. While the actual contents of messages were not accessed, hackers obtained records detailing who users called or texted, exactly when, for how long, and cell tower locations.

Source? This sounds believable given the current state of network operations

@a4 will they be present 5x8 in an AT&T hub? Because if not then RTO still makes zero sense.

@e3, the network won't be management from 10000 miles as you claim, both UST and Mahendra have offices in the US and network optimization design and operations will be done locally in the US, and customers data are protected here as well. Please do your homework before you say something not correct.

So, the network will be managed remotely, 10000 miles away!!!
Can someone explain to me why management are so crazy about RTO for all employees then?

No wonder talents are leaving T.
I thought ericsson role in T is bad enough, now Mahendra and other companies will role the game.
Well done T
