More work with nothing to show for it
You put in extra effort thinking it will lead somewhere, and instead they just pile on more tasks. No new title, no raise, nothing. Now I'm wondering why I ever went above and beyond.
What does demotion mean?
I sympathize with leaders and associates that have been hit with demotions.
As a part of ER, does demotion mean lower title, lower salary grade or reduction in current salary?
Just Quit!!! Senior leaders should read this.
Long Time Employee. Got moved to the MTL role.
I was constantly asked what I need for support. I don't have the ability to articulate what I needed when we are so damn low paying, and nobody wants to do our jobs. The beverage portfolio is so many skus and our teams hate the job. Go into a Walmart at 5AM and look at how much more work Pep Merchandisers have than all the other companies in the store. The Coke guy gets 5 pallets and 80% of it is red silver or green. my 5 pallets take me team three times as long. Our teams get burnt out because the work is terrible then I end up doing the labor. I am going to work with heavy machinery make a 50% pay raise and not manage people. BYE!!!!
Hey senior leaders, we have the most complexity and slightly above average pay.
Canon USA not supporting sales reps
I recently lost a Canon production machine where CSA (now Canon USA) was the incumbent.
My customer decided to price me out to a local Canon dealership and as you can imagine I lost the deal because I was I undercut. I informed my direct supervisor who escalated this but nothing happened. I lose and Canon still wins? Of course.
This seems somewhat unfair because if the situation was reversed my head would be on the chopping block. I have seriously had it with Canon USA not supporting the reps. Everything is a challenge these days and it seems like every time I turn around they found another way to reduce my compensation.
Clearly our senior leaders will never rock the boat and slap the wrists of the dealership for fear they won’t sell Canon. This transition into Canon USA has been terrible for sales. All of the promises that were made were nothing more than lies. Just our email addresses, right Pete. Your sales staff can’t stand you and your retirement can’t come soon enough.
Cr--ker barrel - consulting
Why do executives funnel millions of dollars, while making millions of dollars into consulting companies while claiming that they can't raise pay for workers or do actual needed changes to the business?
Consulting is a total scam. Cr--ker barrel paid $700M on their rebrand that tanked them by $143M.
How much are we paying our executives and consulting companies for things that don't help the business at all?
Maintain VP Salaries
Hard to keep the workers employed when VPs who get paid 400k / year plus bonuses need to be prioritized…..over the workers who prepare their presentation materials. When directors marry surgeons, might have easier time keeping salaries up and prioritizing funding.
Benefits
I had a quick question for those of you who’ve experienced a promotion at Cummins. When moving to the next level, what kind of salary hike did you typically see? Was it a standard percentage increase, or did it vary a lot depending on the role/location?
Also, are there any additional perks or benefits that come with a promotion (things like stock options, allowances, bonuses, or other support) that aren’t always clearly communicated but are good to know about?
How to cope with less in these times
I make what I thought was an ok salary for a 602 in HCL area, until inflation hit my pocket book really hard this year. I’m below the low end of the range advertised on similar jobs in the job portal. Commute ki-ls, but I love my work. I’m finding it really hard to afford much now. How is everyone coping. I know it’s not a JPM-specific question, but I’m wondering if they will ever adjust salaries to align with at least the lowest band. I feel ashamed to say sometimes I eat just once a day.
Ireland severance
Anyone know what the current package is for Ireland ?
Love Letter from HR Post Exit
Left the company 6 months ago due to RTO and a $10k base cut was the cherry on top. Received all exit paperwork, Cobra, Fidelity as expected.
This month I received a love letter from HR claiming in June they identified a mistake they made allegedly overpaying me. The letter sent includes instructions to send them just under $2000 lol. Zero explanation or supporting documentation with pay stubs or commission statements. WTF 😂
Something Needs to Change
We're seeing a growing number of employees leave, and it's not hard to understand why. Compensation is not competitive, and raises or promotions are often withheld even when clearly deserved. Many of us are experiencing burnout and ongoing stress. The culture at Advance isn’t what it once was. While there’s an effort to make it seem like progress is being made, particularly by HR (Kristen Soler specifically), there’s still a noticeable gap between what’s promised and what’s delivered. She’s skips over the questions everyone is asking and pivots to the unnecessary details no one cares for. If the company truly wants to address high turnover, meaningful changes in leadership may be necessary. A lot of us have stayed because we value our teams and the relationships we've built here. But even that’s starting to feel like less of a reason to stay, especially as more colleagues leave and leadership continues to shift.
I've heard an ISG SVP said we Shoudl be happy to be paid in exposure
In a town hall he said something along the lines of "this next year will be just as hard as last, I can't do anything about your pay, but how often do you get to be part of such a big opportunity?"
Does anyone have more details or confirmation he actually said this?
How out of touch are these people?
Raise during Layoofs
Has anyone received a raise or RSU during layoffs?
Interim CEO gets 25k more each pay period
Keep an eye on the 8-K filings OpenText must file with the security exchange as a publicly traded company. Any changes which can impact investors have to be publicly available. The various 8-Ks will start pointing out changes around selling off products as well.
Last week or so 8-K are around comp changes for the interim CEO. In addition to his existing salary, he gets another 50K+ in cash every month and he is eligible for up to 100% of his salary in variable comp for FY26 and he now has an added target equity of $281k in shares.
Meanwhile, our customers are asking who the heck is steering the ship and WFRs are being aligned as part of slimming business units for sale.
How many are 'on the take' at this company?
Based on who is getting riffed and who is not, exactly how many of the leadership at this company is 'on the take' from their subordinates??? I see so many employees basically getting away with m_urder, that I have a hard time believing just covering for the manager and k_ssing their a__ is getting them that much leniency. With crypto so popular now, that surely makes being 'on the take' harder to detect. Any thoughts???
Lied again
Surprise surprise.. 20-30% avg my a$$.
My org and grade range is being cut 50%
Heartless. I bet you c***suite gets a big pay bump and bonus next year for all their savings.
HR stealing from workers
HR is filling their own pockets and playing games with workers
How much is remote work worth?
Out of curiosity, if offered the option to be fully remote in exchange for a lower salary, what % reduction would make it worth it to you?
While this will never happen, I'd gladly accept a 15% lower salary in exchange.
Who else is getting poached by Alteryx
The offers are above the market. Judging by their boards, they need marketers, designers, strategists and sales. It's a mess there. Take advantage of chaos.
New titles
What is the deal with the new titles? Seems like it’s going to combine J and K and o may have one level VP. What does that do to someone who was in line for a promotion from J to K? Will the salary bands change??
Bonuses?
Any word if we'll get them this year? Mostly concerned about HGS and merit increases.
Someone needs to call out Cisco Leadership
I’ve been at Cisco for nearly two years, and it’s becoming very frustrating. Last year, CPF was cut to 0.61, and now they’ve split merits and promotions, basically halving the budget again. It feels really unfair. On top of that, whenever I bring up a raise conversation, my manager guilt-trips me into believing I haven’t done enough, completely overlooking my accomplishments. I’m seriously considering switching jobs, but I wonder- is it the same everywhere? Are most people this unsatisfied at their companies?
Q3 bonus and layoffs
So heard today no bonus next quarter and layoffs before Christmas due to Lexmark doubling up staff and I’ve had to job match my team.
Overpaid Clover
Why do Clover Engineers in Sunnyvale get $350k a year?
Location Pay Range Adjustment
I'm in minneapolis and the pay range recently changed. An example for a P3 in risk is the minimum used to be $84K, but now has increased to $96K. If a person is below the minimum, will HR increase the their wage to match, or will WF sc--w that person over?
Weird changes for FY25 Merit & Promotions
Split in 2 Cycles:
1st in November
2nd in May
Basically, they just cut whatever peanuts you were supposed to get in HALF.
No AIP bonus in October
Yup, and the email sort of blamed the employees. In any case, just a guess but layoffs are gonna have to happen. Again, no first hand knowledge. Guess they should not have bought two companies.
Survey Time!!
https://www.aboutschwab.com/leadership
Look at all those smiling faces!! Happy, rich & convinced they work harder & deserve more than everyone else! So proud & accomplished as they send out surveys to support planned pay cuts for everyone but themselves & their club.
Let’s vote here (where our voices actually count just as much as they do at CS):
Which EC member deserves a pay cut the most??
McDonalds Wages at NOV PCG Lab
The hourly guys on the floor are barely getting wages above that at McDonalds. Whats with that.
Title changes for salary compression.
The bank is now actively reclassifying lower roles to higher roles without any financial compensation. They are compressing wages down for the same or more work. Be mindful of your job role, your compensation range will go down.
This evil corporation expects us to work harder for no actual gain to ourselves?
Grade 26 and less
If you go into your MyHR - personal information and expand the employment history section do you see anything that says your “Transfer - GL account code change”?What does this mean? Mine says as of 8/10/25. I have not got any increase or change in my job.
Taking away bonuses for salary or hourl
I am a clinical worker grade level 24 and am hourly. A few weeks ago they sent that wordy bonus email saying that they were changing the structure of the bonuses or taking away them.
Can someone explain to me what is happening with the bonuses for someone who is hourly and a grade level 24?
Are RSUs gone permanently
RSUs really gone for good? Did Jacob actually say we’re doing away with them permanently as part of comp? WTF.
If there was ever any doubt ILMN is a coffin, this nails it shut. From here on out you’re expected to take below-market comp for the “privilege” of working in that coffin. The mission is now supposed to replace equity ---- which here is maybe 10% of comp, while at other companies RSUs make up 50–80%.
Looking forward to walking among the living soon.
Cisco beat rewards update
Anyone know the specifics of the rewards changes mentioned on the beat? Direct questions were glossed over. It sounds like the intent is to not reward low performers in November? With the November layoff rumors this is even more concerning.
Accelerated EOY Perf Reviews
End of year activities are generally a joke, but this year is one for the record books. The big question is who is getting the differentials? Will those be passed out to someone that is unknowingly on the chopping block, or will upper management correct for that? Is it fair if someone performed above and beyond all year, but bcz their job is going away that person won't get a diff rating?
Oh the games. . . . .
Grades
If grades change up/down prior to 8/31 then I assume bonuses for T2 will reflect using the new grades.
How’s the pay
I’ve had the impression that vanguard pays poorly. Is that still the case?
Those laid off in June - did you get your PSP bonus last week?
Posting for someone I know who got let go in June but did not receive their PSP last week, which was unexpected since they were still on the payroll post May 31. Was wondering if others experienced this or what the next steps should be?
