They hand these out to L2 folks who are going the extra mile but they can't do anything for them as it relates to a progression or promotion or raise. They are handed out especially when the dolts around them are getting progressed but they can not progress the high-achievers beyond L2 Principal when they know they should.
Employee can receive up to $20k max per year. This is in the CA website itself. Typically payouts are in $4k increments, no more than twice a year. Avg L2 payouts are $8-12k per year due to holdback
Yep, we give connection awards of $4k too, and you can get one or two of them a calendar year.
10k-12k for each of the last 5 or so years.
Connection awards are not for everyone.
They’re for the top performers.
If you’re just doing your regular job that everyone on your team is doing, you’re not going to get one.
These are for employees who are working on organizational projects. You’re essentially working two or three jobs at one time.
I perform my regular role while attending multiple daily meetings for my projects. I come in early and go home late. If there’s a project meeting on my day off, I still dial in. Not only am I the key contributor but I create the power points, present the material to internal organization leadership, and then again to AVPs and SVPs.
Then I deploy the project into my organization.
These are transformational projects that streamline processes and tooling needs.
If you aren’t participating in projects like this, that’s why you’re not receiving the bonus.
$0 $0 $0 $0 $0
People are getting these kinds of checks, but when I ask to WFH Christmas Eve, which would cost them diddly, the answer is no way. That stinks!
“L3. Legg Org. 2 Connection awards this year totalling $53k. Been involved in multiple high priority projects.”

L2- $8K this year
The last five years for me: 4k, 4k, 8k, 4k, 8k.
@d0 lucky you 👍
- Connection awards are commonly used for high performers directors and AD’s want to retain and promote but can’t get a progression/promotion through due to how a-s backwards HR is or budget constraints…*
This is probably pretty accurate. A middle-age+ white male has a better chance of getting a connection award than a promotion.
I’m in Network, what’s a connection award? We’re lucky to have TP and soap in the bathroom. They definitely aren’t handing out connection awards no matter what you do.
L2 last three years 8,000 each the two years before at 4,000 each.
Every year $10K, but this year $5K for an L2
Received two for exemplary work on the presence office reports.
$5k this year $14k last year

If you guys don’t think people are getting connection awards in the $10k-$20k range yearly then I don’t know what to tell you…
I work with a lot of MTS technical folk and they regularly are getting yearly connection awards at this amount on top of the regular bonus etc.

Wake up Union folk & low performers….
Two $8k this year,
A surplus.
I did not get any. I was 40k over top of my pay band and I was okay staying right there.
Pointless post as everyone is just lying.
we work for a company that practically expects you to bring your own toilet paper how much do you think those awards are worth?
13k this year. Largest ever. Last few years it’s been around 8k
$16k this year
Mine was $25k. I'm a top performer.
I received two this year, 14K and 18K. Not surprising, I'm rated as a top performer and they want to keep me. My boss thinks I walk on water!
I got one 2 years ago and it was like $4K.
Makes me think folks are lying here.
Which they always do.
$20M. Market based negotiation skills rewards well.
12k last year 8k this year
- L2
I got two last year and they were ~$13k total.
