@1hx+1kc4rrayb is right. I called that the "happy meal" aip year.
That was the lowest AIP i've ever gotten, and the highest was 2005-ish when it was like 140%, and we all got really high AIP that year.

In 2009-2010 or so the bonus was $76 after taxes where I worked when at that time it was $2000 ish. So, I have seen it LOW. It hasn’t happened since.

Rumor has it we’re all getting ELV-branded “Vest Boy” puffer vests instead of any AIP payouts this year!!

I'd like to know what companies people are going to. Where are they getting jobs that pay more and have better management? That would be helpful information.

@wz if that makes you happy to think that, great. Seems they should move on with their lives and by coming back they can’t. I’d argue each of our situations are very different and a lot of their “advice” isn’t that valuable and for those who left a year ago it’s irrelevant. So again I ask what exactly is the point They should go find a self help group or therapy session.

@qs They are posting to try to help the rest of us that are still at the company. Just like people who are successful leaving an abusive relationship after years of abuse. Once they are able to exit the abuse, they reach out to other abused spouses in an attempt to help them get out of their abusive relationship. They are posting to let us know there are better employers out there and if possible, you should search if your situation at EH is abusive as many are. I appreciate their posts and were I not within five years of retirement, I too would be searching for a better employer relationship.

I recommend not leaving unless you've found something else first. There are a lot worse places to work that pay a lot less.

@rm maybe people who left or retired feel like they gave a ton of their life to this place, I see alot of those posts where the majority worked here over 10-15 yrs. It is natural for people who were once very invested to just turn off the switch. And in their own way are trying probably to help people know this is not normal, it is not how it always was, they are not crazy etc. Just trying to help in their own way. And maybe after that many years they have a right to speak the truth. We have seen people post they think they are alone or deserve how they are treated. Its toxic and hard to realize when you are inside it.

@qc great you both found your place and it sounds like a much better fit for both. Not really helpful for those of us still at the company and looking for insight on current state. it feels like this site is mostly ex employees who come on to give opinions and advice which is great but I wonder why if you are gone you want to stay connected to the company so bad and feel those of us who stayed care what you think. Mostly the advice is leave which we all know we can do without your great insight. If you have moved on why do you feel the need to post here. I’ve also seen an equal number of posts from those who have left talking about how hard the market is and many out of work a year later.

@pb I did the same.. life is so much easier now. No more back to back calls. No more dealing with toxic culture and incompetent management. No more stress. No more worries about yearly bonus. No more petty politics. I negotiated my year end bonus as part of the salary, so i get monthly bonus. I can now really focus on delivering value in my 8 hour work schedule. Life is cool and I'm loving it. However, I sometimes regret the delay in decision making.

After being with the company over a decade and one if the things that kept me there is the bonuses. I watched them dwindle down. I left the company this year, and now I am receiving my old salary plus 15k more. I don't miss the stress and all the cr-p. Especially, I don't have to worry about what they will do to my bounus. Best thing I did was leave. It is not the same company I joined 15 years ago. Save your sanity and get out I f you can.

@as Managers don't have the actual information until they get the budget to complete and submit. Once they get it, it's over, it is not up for discussion and is never up for discussion. Directors and above can tell the managers a variety of things before the budget is released, as they do every year - Examples - We hope so, haven't heard yet, hearing different things, haven't heard anything, etc. Its not rocket science to look at the stock price, look at the RIF's, look at last year and the year before, attend town halls and come to a likely conclusion. Guessing the OP is a manager.

Do you have any real information or just stirring the pot. I’ve heard it will be a lot better from people. Who knows but you seem like a troll without any real information. There was another post awhile back that had mangers saying it was going to be pretty good. I hope so but I guess we’ll all know soon. Anyone with credible information please weigh in I’m staying optimistic.

Worse than last year? Vest boy seemed to hint it would be better than last year. Of course he missed the “headwinds” so maybe he was wrong about AIP too. Or maybe I just didn’t interpret the message right due to all the toxic positivity speak.

Maybe you should ask Spark to clean up your atrocious writing. What school gave you a passing grade in English proficiency?
