Too much for too few

So many coworkers left this year, yet nothing changes in our workload. We’re running ourselves ragged trying to cover gaps that can’t be filled. No hiring, no reshuffling, just pressure. I honestly don’t see how we keep this going much longer.

More layoffs imminent

They are skirting under warn rules and using blatent ageism to lay off more workforce then rehire 2 months after with younger and cheaper Start applying out now

Trying to plan for what’s next

I am starting to think about my options just in case there are more layoffs before the year ends. Nothing is confirmed, but it feels smart to be ready. Watching the news and updates closely while figuring out a backup plan is the only way to feel a... — read more

Vimal’s Ask Me Anything

Observed signs of doubt and prevarication in Vimal’s eyes while answering questions or listening other leader’s responses. Do you feel he is honest or hides well to get his golden parachute?

More Age layoffs imminent

Huge warning. Another leak about age specific metrics. They have directors leaking information now. Clearwater and Deer Valley next to layoff workers over 50

Chances of layoffs as a new employee

I'm interviewing for an engineer position at a subcontractor that relies a lot on Honeywell for contracts. What are my chances of not being laid off in the next 18 months if I take the position?

Layoffs at UOP

Do we have any news of layoffs at UOP in Rosemont, IL and Des Plaines, IL yet? I'm sure they're around the corner.

I just got laid off from Honeywell. 77% of the layoffs were employees 40 or older.

In the severance document at the end, they list the job title and age of the employee who was riffed. 77% were age 40 and older. 23% were less than 40. If that isn't age discrimination on a massive scale, then what is? My role was given to another... — read more

More Layoffs

They are going to target older workforce and balance it with some young layoffs then rehire those young ones laid off a few weeks later due to a clause that tells them to stay available for 1 month or lose the severance. Document everything and join... — read more

India Teams

Layoffs by age

It was just slipped that they are targeting anyone 55 and older. Get a lawyer now and document everything!

Anyone hearing whispers about more layoffs?

I keep seeing signs, but leadership is keeping mum. I would love to know if anyone’s heard which teams might be on the chopping block. It's like we’re all just waiting for the next shoe to drop.

Who is the ceo again?

Do they give an award for least engaging leadership team ever? I find that I just can’t manage to remember the CEO’s name let alone what important thing they want us to focus on this year. Good thing we sell autopilots…

OT taken away

What is the real reason OT is taken away? In my many years of working at HW, we have never been to told to get OT approvals by the PM or OPL. Seems strange they roll this out during a time that everything is urgent and OT is needed to work the... — read more

The IT debacle that will be the separation

Working round the clock in IT. Separation is basically undoing 20 years of work (since the 2006-7 Apple project) in like three months. Hold onto to your hats and get ready for a rough ride. Everything is new and therefore broken. Good luck... — read more
