Gulfstream

Can be a fun place to work, depending on the BU you work in, your Manager (this is big) and the type of work assignments and recognition ( this is as big or not as your Manager). Cool product and product development strategy. If you’re DTF it’s... — read more

No Logic behind promotions

Gulfstream is still hard at it promoting the butt kissers into leadership roles. People with limited experience and less than 3 years in the aircraft industry are still being promoted above more qualified employees. While upper management can’t... — read more

Hiring freeze?

Anyone else heard about a hiring freeze? Are layoffs coming next?

Is Fidelity the best choice for our 401k accounts?

I'm sure many of you saw the email from Fidelity that talked about changes to our plans. From what I read they are doing away with the personalized planning and advice program. So if you elected to utilize the service, you will be disenrolled and... — read more

G700 Deliveries - all late

Let’s not forget that despite the publicity, all G700 deliveries are late. Did not have to be and completely mismanaged - just another example of poor management. Supply chain is not an excuse - no matter how many times you say it.

Rate change

Anyone heard rumors of a possible rate change on the 700? I've heard anywhere from 12-14 days

Policies

Any updates on whether hybrid would ever return? Or updates on potential job openings?

Hiring Freeze

Does anyone know how much longer this hiring freeze is going? I interviewed for some positions before the end of 2024 only for the requisitions to get cancelled due to the freeze. I’ve been waiting 6 months, but it seems like it’s never going to end... — read more

What a Joke!

Gulfstream needs to weed out HR. You ever report something to HR just for nothing to happen? You think they will help but instead, they brush it off and just make excuses, or even try to turn it back on you. They say they’re there for employees... — read more

Did anyone hear on the amount we will be getting on 21 Feb?

Leverage

The workers have immense leverage against the company but years of corporate & political bullying has most fearful. Will the company perform every dirty trick in the book to bust up attempts to organize. Of course. What needs to be understood is that... — read more

Tulsa Layoff/Relocation?

Has anyone heard about the Tulsa Gulfstream facility being shutdown and relocated to Savannah? I left Nordam to work for Gulfstream and I've heard that Nordam is steadily increasing the Gulfstream lease which will drive all of Tulsa to be moved to... — read more

All promotions denied company-wide

Was up for a big jump but was told today that all promotions have been denied and he's not sure we'll even have raises at EPR time. Layoffs no doubt coming soon.

Engineering in trouble?

First of all I would like to say that the G700 program is a couple millions over budget, overtime is stopping starting 2025 for completions engineering and remote work is off the charts unless it’s an emergency for family or health. There used to be... — read more

Completions or “incompletions”

The rumors were there and had been growing daily now I know they weren’t rumors but reality. As my Manager explained my new role as a hourly supervisor last week doing the same f-cking job I was doing before and that I should be happy because I’m... — read more

A message from the desk of Mark B-ms

So what’s really happening behind the scenes

I assume these recent policy changes are leading up to another GAC layoff we are known for, but why. Our earnings call presented good numbers with a small dent due to L1 being worse then expected. But they aren’t 2019-2021 bad. I’m guessing the... — read more
