The throttle control module (TCM) on that 787 worked just fine. The only way the switches were turned off is my a human. The TCM is PMA certified, is used in more than a dozen other Boeing airframes, and has over 10 million flight hours logged without a problem. And there's been no other problems with the TCM since the Air India crash. No whistleblowing to be done. There isn't anything going to happen except Air India doing some remedial training of the pilots not to turn off fuel to the engines during takeoff for no good reason. There are only three times when those switches are used per my neighbor who flies 787's, 757's, and is a retired USAF pilot: turning off the engines after landing and pulling into the gate or parking on the tarmac, starting the engines, and when attempting to restart one or both engines during flight.
Not so fast. Remember how the whistleblowers disappeared from Boeing. We have contracts with Boeing.
They will make our whistleblowers disappear too.
just air india trying to save face.
seems like a nothing burger for now
