Honeywell Cuts Jobs Before Aerospace Spinoff

Honeywell International announced job reductions. The company is reducing staff in the Valley. An aerospace division spinoff is planned. This corporate separation will happen by June's end. The job reductions precede this corporate change.

More on the PC spinoff speculation

Our team is coming up with a $699 computer to compete with the Apple $599 computer. If we’re a market leader, why didn’t we come up with the not a Chromebook device before Apple. The Apple will be better built and last a student all through high school. And Apple’s support bot is better than ours. I know, because I’ve used both.

It shows we no longer lead the PC market, we follow the trends. A sale or spinoff can’t be far off.

Disclosure: Like others said - mine is pure speculation. I own some Dell stock but not enough to get rich and retire yet. I’m just turning sc--w drivers and plugging in cables everyday.

As an aside, I wonder how the ‘experts’ who said to dump Dell at $150 are doing…

401K Blackout Window Before the 6/29/2026 HW Aerospace Spinoff

Has anyone heard any information about when the blackout window is to the 401K Plan right before the 6/29 Spinoff? I am moving to the Aerospace side and need to make some changes, but would like to make them as close to the spin as possible. Thanks

Spinoff or merger?

I’ve been thinking ELT is setting everything up for a merger, for awhile now. But lately I’ve started to wonder about a spinoff instead. All this talk about segments… core, new to wealth and high net worth. Think there might be a plan to create the segments in order to spinoff or sell one or two of them?

More layoffs end of August , splitting company

This is yet unoffical but there will be a meeting today with 3 upcoming news:

  • everyone will be fired by the end of August and replaced with offshore employees (.not high management )
  • company will be splited by 4 or 5 independent companies ( by region ) and FIS brand will disappear by end of this year.

Boots to have an IPO.

So it appears that Stefano's Boots chain is being spun off and will have an IPO. Don't know when this will happen as the article was paywalled, but I guess this is/was part of Mr. P's plans to regain his losses? I wonder if this would have any effect on Walgreens, or nothing since they're separated now.

Did we just get partially bought out?

https://investors.xerox.com/node/31106/html

We now have to pay to use our own intellectual property (names and products):
"Under that agreement, Xerox and selected subsidiaries retain worldwide, royalty-bearing rights to use the contributed IP, paying IPCo a 2.0% royalty on specified consolidated revenue"

L3Harris Technologies reorganizing, spinning off and selling out?

So, reduced to 3busin units from 4. The new structure is as follows: Space & Mission Systems (SMS), Communications & Spectrum Dominance (CSD), and Missile Solutions (MSL).
And then MSL spins off at least 40% of itself as a sorta stand alone IPO. And the former SAS unit is outsourcing work like crazy.
What's really happening folks?

Evernorth Health Services Jobs - US/Worldwide

Evernorth Health Services jobs posted on LinkedIn, United States has 72 jobs, India has 182 jobs, and worldwide has 254 jobs. India takes over 70% of jobs. Undeniably, Evernorth Health Services is an India company that provides healthcare services for USA market. In coming days it might spinoff from Cigna, and pay a few remaining US workers in rupees.

Idea into Sycamore's plan with Boots, Care, and shield?

So with Boots being the biggest money maker for them, I heard rumors that they were going to maybe IPO Boots? What do you think (hypothetically) the plan would be for the other two? Since these 3 would be where Sycamore can extract value from, I assume Walgreens would be fattened with debt and left to be gutted? Unless they have any aspiration of trying to save it.......

What do you guys think? Trying to understand how a PE would try to extract value with this deal.

Odd Stock Option Notice

This is a hold on transactions. It could mean what they say or it might relate to the Diabetes spinoff. https://workplaceservices.fidelity.com/bin-public/070_NB_SPS_Pages/documents/dcl/shared/StockPlanServices/SPS_MDT_SOP_RESTRICTION_NOTICE.pdf
