Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

LOT of missing posts about stock prices

I notice that posts which mentioned stock price moves seem to have been purged. Some of them were quite accurate based on todays ugly 20+ point drop on earnings beat.
Do you think this will trigger layoffs?
What do you think will happen with the break up? Seems obvious that Honeywell will exit the DOW forcing a huge rebalance and price pressure.

@rc Cost cutting! Cost cutting and travel freeze are for bottom feeders. Top management is living a lavish life; the last GM workshop was at Four Seasons, costed over $M. VK pampers his staff at resorts and let them swim with Dolphins. They are flying with Corporate jets internationally for nonsensical events and do you wonder why India visits are around Diwali or Christmas time. You know why, they want to spend like there is no tomorrow and for their personal benefits. In one word, corp executives are wasting shareholder value and do not give a damn about financial performance.

Bounce — check and done. That didn’t last.

Right now. Honeywell stock is not performing well. In order for Elliot management to increase shareholder value. Re-organization and cost cutting measures. Must take place. Those of us left behind. You will have to work harder.

When they sp-t off aerospace and automation. I can only imagine what the stock price might be. They’re probably a logical reason why they’re deleting all the stock posts. I just can’t think of it at the moment, probably not to scare the rats.

@dj Sitting at 200 and maybe a tiny bounce this week. Don’t get excited , a bear is a bear and 193 really does want to be tested. The exit from Dow will wreck these stocks. I agree with someone else who said get out before the trading freeze.
I wonder if there is a price point where the breakup deal falls apart from a financial POV?

I fear that in mid jan , probably the 6th lunar day of the month, china will blockade Taiwan.
The Taiwanese already consider this inevitable.

The military knows they can’t stop mainland invasion so instead will reach out to punish with a first strike that targets major dams and key reservoirs in a symbolic act of spite. The goal would be to deprive the country of water of course. Three mile gorge is undefendable and the flood will release devastating damage even as mainland military comes ashore unopposed.

World wide financial crisis will ensue with stocks dropping 20 percent before trading is automatically stopped. It will be weeks before trading resumes with most stocks 50 to 70 percent lower.

140 companies on the “unreliable” list. Updated many times this year. No Honeywell. I feel left out.

The latest hostility with china will probably drive Honeywell to the April low and beyond.
China has been sanctioning dual use parts and defense companies. I haven’t checked but I doubt Honeywell is on that sanction list… Honeywell is a reliable friend when it comes to teaching china how to build airplanes.
Have to research that.

Stock wants to test 193 … just hoping it holds otherwise it is a quick drop to that nasty low from April (182). … still out there waiting to be resolved.
How is that investment going Elliot? As if they didn’t sell into 220 area.

CEOs job is to make the stock price go up. Vimal is on the outer elbow, on a PIP, and should be fired. Not working my tail off to see the stock price drop everyday.

@OP , there was some interesting chatter about the stock a couple of weeks ago - could this be the thread you’re thinking of —> +1k6aq465e ?
It took me a bit to find it since it got pushed down the main page by newer posts. If that’s not the one, try clicking the “older topics” button at the bottom - there might be more discussions on the next pages too (I haven’t checked yet.)
