If volume ever comes back they will just buy cheap land in the middle of nowhere and make it 1NA plant as this has been the plan for over a year now. For those who don’t know what 1NA is, it’s 1 North America which is Gatorade, Frito Lay, and Pepsi Beverages in the same building either warehouse or manufacturing doesn’t matter the setup. It uses 3PL which is 3rd party logistics meaning frontline employees aren’t even PepsiCo employees. Also 1NA plants are fully automated so estimated reduction of employees by 80%.
