I don't mind the wait

I understand why people are stressing, so am I. But if I had to choose between getting into work and learning I was laid off and having at least some warning to be able to prepare myself both mentally and in other ways, I'd chose the second option. Neither is good, but being blindsided with layoffs still seems worse to me.

Any idea how deeply tariffs might hit us?

It’s not just that our manufacturing could take a hit. Agriculture is already struggling, demand has been going down steadily, and purchasing power is clearly slipping. A lot of folks are holding off on buying or investing simply because there’s so much uncertainty. All of that is bound to affect us down the line. And that likely means more cuts, more layoffs, and more of us out there looking for work. It feels like we’re sliding into a vicious cycle, and I’m worried about what all that will mean for our jobs.

Renovations mean safe or “Go Forward Store”?

Does renovations like replacing bad carpet and other neglected parts of the store mean that the store is safe? I only ask this question even though it seems like an obvious answer because I’ve seen and heard reports or closure rumors of stores with these said renovations.

I mean financially it doesn’t make sense to me to put money into a store that you’re going to close anyway…

Big day tomorrow. LR or no LR...

From what I have seen, very little hiring in FY25. So that might be good, maybe no LR. But on the other hand, heard folks who are fine earlier, are now on 'Below Expectations' in the latest review. Is this management asking all teams do do stack ranking, and force 1-2 into the bottom that are easy candidates to LR ? Who knows.
