With rumors of an announcement this week, anyone have info? Which product line is getting released?

I am hearing mostly about CX and BU, no sales this time?

How is it compared to other BUs in Cisco...

We all know there is more layoffs coming since 1500 doesn’t create enough office space. What are the next Business Units or roles to be impacted?

How many people got impacted? What positions specifically got impacted in each BU? Any interesting people get laid off today?

I apologize to anyone dealing with the lay off. Both the website and dealing with being laid off. It’s one of the roughest experiences I’ve ever been through myself. But you will make it.

And if Fidelity is reading this, I will pay you to find whoever keeps making the Boston devops posts and take away their phone.

We are told at each quarter we will just adjust headcount up or down depending on financials. Is this common in all Waters business units?

There is nothing of value that comes out of 90% of the work our ‘researchers’ do. They get paid for making up bumber in the air, dragging projects for 2-3 years until a new manager arrives , tweak and drag some more. Dead after 10 years. rinse and repeat. how stupid does our company have to be to not see through the BS? it’s embarrasing to talk to them from business unit perspective. there are people working genuinely hard, everyday trying to meet the targets and doing honest work, spending hours stressed about meeting baseline — but the research orgs? what the he-l are they doing? made up work no one wants to use? why are we allowing to continue this clear inefficiency?

If any leader with common sense and some ba--s reads this, please conduct an audit of the claims of research projects and actual value delivered over years. Its mind numbingly d-mb to let these projects and organizations survive. Nothing against the people, they are smart ( but scared to speak up) deploy them to do something useful. Oil and gas is not rocket science.

The last couple of years under the current regime has been a disaster the current "leadership" of AS, MC and CH has run this business into the ground

Heard this morning that a lot of scrum masters were set free with immediate effect (contractors).

Some are given time to find new role within fidelity till end of March.

Any other BU getting impacted?

Strong rumors about massive reorganization in SBG. Several executives were axed. Consolidation of several BUs. More products will be integrated under Splunk.

These Value brands used to be their own business's and pay Verizon for “access”.

Nancy got moved to protect her nearly 40 year tenure.

Indirect dealers have been beefing up their operational staff with old Verizon execs.

Should be interesting next week.

Every major player has its own network group, but Intel plans to get rid of it...

Anyone else find it interesting that LS made no mention of OFSE, CCUS, etc… All I heard was that we are positioning ourselves to not feel the pressure of the oil market…

But there are also named “business hubs” chosen by business unit leaders for investment:

1. Alpharetta

4. Cary
5. Chandler
6. Irvine
7. Lone Tree
8. Miami
9. Rolling Meadows
10. Temple Terrace
11. Washington DC

If you work in the location other than the ones listed, you are in a non-directional location. The locations will either be maintained or will be exited in the future.

Salt Lake City must have some pull because their center is closing but they’re all going home-based. Hmm!!!

I suspect SBG will get hit hard but which groups if anyone has an ideas ?
