Philadelphia School District Faces Layoffs; Principals Urge Rideshare Tax

Philadelphia principals urge City Council to pass a rideshare tax. This tax aims to address the School District of Philadelphia's $300 million deficit. Without it, up to 340 school-based positions could be eliminated. The proposed tax on Uber and Lyft could generate about $48 million annually.
