FT hours now down to 30

With this auto schedule program if you don't have 100% open availability you won't be scheduled because TLs aren't able to adjust it at all and our store was told today by TMS that full time hours are now 30 instead of the 36 we were getting looks like we will all be losing benefits as well since 30 hours isn't considered full time

Housecalls

How far out are your county assignments being assigned? Mine are until the end of March. Nothing for April.

This is making it difficult to reschedule members since I am in 3 counties and certain ones are filled up through March. I have to status a member as “member request reschedule” yesterday which I am assuming will affect my metrics? I’m guessing this is also a sign that I’ll be getting fired at the end of March? (After 14 years with Housecalls!)

Central UM being forced to work 8a-5p

Why in the he-l does this so called dept think its a good idea to have everyone work the same schedule. Anyone with half a brain cell knows that a staggered schedule makes the most sense. Early shift starts offering p2ps earlier and keeps the flow going with the id--tic 4 hr time frame requirement. If everyone starts at the same time, the MDs will be overloaded with work with all same deadlines. Everyone in Centralized UM upper leadership must be "yes ma'ams" bc regions worked like a well oiled machine for years with staggered scheduling. Chalk this up as another notch in their belt to pi-s people off. Good grief.

Fresh delivery

Sooo the clubs with 3rd shift receiving how’s the “new” fresh delivery working, you know when delivery time is supposed to be before 4 AM, because it’s not! We get more M &P deliveries AFTER 6:00 AM and that puts all other SCHEDULED deliveries behind! Once again someone sitting behind a desk thought it was a good idea 🙄

It just keeps getting worse!

Things never change with this company! Each year, our hours keep getting shorter, yet the workload remains the same, and they still expect everything to be completed. They assume salaried managers will handle it all, but those who work the hardest often burn out quickly. Meanwhile, others seem to get by without any consequences. If you were hoping to earn some extra money for the holidays, be aware that you might only be scheduled to work the day after Thanksgiving—and only if there are call-outs from permanent employees.

4 am meeting…really?

Just a quick reminder that while we’re all committed to collaboration, scheduling meetings at 4 a.m. feels less like ‘flexibility’ and more like a hostage situation. Work–life balance shouldn’t require night vision goggles. Unless the building is on fire or we’re launching a rocket, no one should be required to function professionally at that hour.

Why the schedule change?

I don't know if this is a company thing or a district thing but why would Walmart make Team Leads have to do an evening shift two days a week? Our store has informed all Team Leads that twice a week they have to work a 7-4pm shift and a 2-11pm shift of they have to step down as team lead. Many of our team leads, who are great, have kids or are single parents and cannot take off or find child care for this. Why does Walmart ask what days and times you can work and then make a rule like this.
Also, why does everyone in the store now have to have open availability? Again, why have me fill out a form and ask what days and times I can work and now tell me I will work when and on what day they want me too or I wont get hours. One of our best associates has a special needs child and has to take him for treatment on a certain day and a certain time. Now they have scheduled her for that day and time but she can't make it so she has been cut from 40 hours to 25 hours. Seems unfair and maybe illegal. Thoughts

Force schedule charge ? Or forcing drivers to quit?

Area that I work at was out was a steady 5 days schedule with two days off. Sometimes you can work at 6 day. Typically there'd be somebody calling out. Or if you had hours left to drive come in and help. But the six day was removed( it was never guaranteed but it was available. But now As routes have been cut. Now there's mandatory stand by days implemented. You'll be called in if they need you or if the situation allows the management to bring somebody to help or someone calls out and you can cover the route. They used to team people up but now apparently that's not being allowed. Unless its allowed. But you could get called anywhere from two in the morning till 8 in the morning. So I guess they're expecting people to stay awake from two in the morning all the way till 8:00am to possibly maybe get caught in to run a route. The same time they hired 11 new people. The problem right now is that we have standby guys anywhere from 3 to 5 kn a monday on a Monday 9 to 10 drivers on a wed or Thursday. Apparently they say we're doing okay we're doing great for the area. How we doing great with cutting routes and forcing drivers to live off of 4 days of work. 3 are light case days. Hope things get better. Are we keep hearing is it's slow season it's never been this slow ever. Those drivers that have been here for 20 plus years that have said it's never been this slow. I guess the merge or the potential merger could be causing this I don't know.....not sure what is going on. Its going to be a rough winter

Force Scheduled Days In Office

Anyone heard of possible force scheduled days in office?
I was on my weekly manager call this morning and the topic came up of division heads possibly setting forced days in office so that everyone is able to “freely collaborate” without needing to worry about trying to coordinate days in the office together.
