AT&T Leadership is such a joke

Our floor was being renovated in ATL- Lenox so TSC Leadership allowed us to work from home 2 days a week while renovation was being completed until December 1st. Porter visited ATL and reiterated it.

Today we get an email that they finished early so back to 5 days on Monday! “We know this is short notice and you may need to make some adjustments to your schedule”. What a joke. Don’t ever let AT&T tell you they care about you.

Fiserv Stock Tanks

Good job Frank and executives, way to take a great company and absolutely drive it into the ground. Why did the board ever hire this guy? He was a failure at First Data and brought his failures to Fiserv. He is an mo--n, a selfish person, and terrible leader.
I don't know how Mike is gonna raise the company back to where it should be.

Maybe the Ad Got Past Legal Because the One Competent Person Was RTO’d to Dallas or ATL — Five Days a Week With No Seat

AT&T’s latest masterclass in self-sabotage: spend millions attacking T-Mobile, violate NAD rules, and get slapped with a cease-and-desist.
You’d think someone in legal or marketing would’ve caught that — maybe the one competent person who actually reads compliance documents.

But that person got RTO’d to Dallas or Atlanta five days a week, fighting for a seat, dodging “collaboration days,” and wondering why their life turned into a bad sitcom.
Meanwhile, the yes-men who approved this ad are sipping coffee in their corner offices, calling this fiasco “brand momentum.”

Let’s be honest — we’re not #1 in customer service or innovation.
We’re #1 in wasting money. We should be a Harvard Business School case study on how to find new ways to burn cash and call it a strength.
Only AT&T could turn a marketing campaign into a compliance violation and call it “forward-thinking.”

Now the ad’s gone, the money’s gone, and morale’s in free fall — but hey, at least leadership gets another “All-Hands” meeting to tell us how proud they are of the team.

We lost two more people

Every fu--ing round we lose more people and the rest of us are left scrambling how to the work without them. Well I'm done. Fire me if you won't, I'm not picking up any more work. Not a single thing is getting added to my plate this time. In all honesty, now I wish I was laid off. Who knows, maybe there's still time.

Are all area understaffed and underpaid

Checking in to see if all areas are like mine. Stuck now without the long term, valuable associates that knew their job, who were an asset to the company and now the rest of us are struggling to keep up with tasks that aren’t even in our job description and working with associates who are barely able to do the bare minimum of their job description. We were already overworked before VSP and now the ones that are still here are underpaid with more work than ever in hopes of maybe a 3% raise next year which isn’t even close to inflation rate. Feeling defeated at this point working for a company who has proven they don’t care about their employees.

How’s the stress at Chevron this week?

How are employees and contractors coping with added stress from lack of security and direction while the company literally Transitions into something new…

Are Chevron employees still cooperative or more guarded?

Is the safety potential from older assets and less eyes on and walk the line starting to pose a concern?

Is Chevron HR still creating a toxic environment? Full of fear?

How’s ENGINE working out? One the Indians adhere they will not be able to adapt to that unique cultural environment weather Bakersfield, Greely, or New Orleans…this is actually what made Chevron special.

I don't feel safe

Yes, I survived this round but I think we all know this is far from over. I'm supposed to feel relief, but here I am, already thinking about the next round and still unable to sleep. All I know is that I'll double my efforts to find something else, because this is not healthy in any way, shape, or form.

Planning to give my notice

I can’t live in fear till January and work like a dog every day. Sick and tired of training TII knowing that they will take my job.

We can’t f*cking accelerate if half my team including some high performers are laid off (probably because they were remote)

If I make it beyond April, there is no way I will get more than 50% of bonus and 2% hike in salary.

And this is not the Target I know for the last 15 years. We neither caring, nor growing and definitely not winning. Our culture is a sham.

Most of these people were let go
https://corporate.target.com/careers/culture

The finance guy will be working us to our bones and then lay us off after peak.

Target Does Not Care

Your leader knew and did not tell you sooner.

The person who shook your hand and smiled at you in the elevator knew and didnt tell you sooner.

The Meetings you were not invited to was not coincidence but deliberate.

The Conference you went to and your Sr. Leader said your jobs were safe... lied to you.

Those friends that say they will keep in touch, soon will fade. Remember this for you are even in this situation again you will be able to read the signs sooner.

SAS pulling the plug on certain regions . . .

Welp. Was checking my email and just got the news.

Whoever predicted that things have been a little too quiet recently was right on the money.

It's a shame, I've worked with many developers and testers from the region and have been helped countless times by them. For me this comes as a huge shock and honestly makes me pretty sad..

Hoping everyone will get along fine over there.. but damn

RTO - Get over it

Move on good teammates. This is reality. I don’t like it but it’s my only option now. Let’s focus on making good business decisions so the bank does well. We’re all in this together. Truist is poised to be the best regional bank. Leadership may need some coaching but the frontline teammates are solid. Let’s focus on the clients, they picked PURPLE for a reason - let’s commit to serving them.

Nice Christmas gift USAA!

Nothing says USAA cares like handing out 60 day notices to a little over 200 people, just days before the holiday season begins.
The 60 days ends right after Christmas (12/28).

And of course our dear bank President Mike Mo--n, makes things even worse by saying big changes are coming early in Q1, so now the remaining bank employees can stress about if they’ll have a job heading into next year.

The Truist trainwreck continues with RTO

More head scratching incompetence from Truist higher ups as usual. The most insulting thing is the brain dead word salad they come up with to justify this latest folly. "Foster a champion mindset"... how? by sitting in a loud call center and further impacting the client (and teammates) quality of life? We all hear how cacophonous offshore calls are. I guess they're just looking for some chaotic cohension. This will backfire miserably and I'll be in the shadows chuckling.

Sc--wed if you are riffed now and even more sc--wed if you are riffed later

A point I never see get made is how frustrating it is to deal with an even worse job market just because you worked hard. Yes, I might survive the next rif, or maybe the next two, but three rifs from now there will be so many unemployed white collar workers that it would put us in a worse spot. Sc--wed if you are riffed now and even more sc--wed if you are riffed later, really demotivating stuff.

This.

Sinking ship

At what point do we stop hiring executives from companies that aren’t in better shape than ours? Medical Solutions never aimed to become another AMN, yet AMN is struggling too — so why are we trying to mimic their work model?

When do we stop bringing in high-salary leaders who have made no meaningful improvements in efficiency or culture? Instead of investing in tools and resources that help employees succeed, we continue cutting them while expecting staff to do more with less. It’s disheartening to see cost-saving measures repeatedly lead to disaster after disaster.

How long can this company sustain itself while hiring redundant executives, cutting essential tools, and ignoring the root issues? Nothing is improving. The leadership seems disconnected from the people who actually keep the business running — treating employees like replaceable labor instead of valued contributors.

At least under previous leadership, people wanted to work hard because they felt supported and motivated. Maybe it’s time to bring that spirit back — bring back the kind of leadership that inspired effort and loyalty, not resentment and burnout.

On the Way Down

Since posts are being taken down I have no issue putting them back up.

Bobby H loves licking corporate boots so much that I hope he'll enjoy it just as much when those same boots are the ones kicking him out lmaooo. Tough day being a FiServant tho...

SMB Challenges? This Leadership Team Is Destroying the Org

Things have been going downhill fast since Aimee left — and it’s obvious. The new leadership team, all the way up to the VP level, has completely changed the culture. People are getting singled out, spoken to disrespectfully, and treated like they don’t matter. Morale is the lowest it’s ever been, and good employees are leaving left and right.

You can feel the fear. Nobody wants to speak up because retaliation is real. Those who do are being pushed out or ignored. It’s all about favoritism now — certain people can do no wrong, while others get blamed for everything.

Performance has dropped, the environment is toxic, and the Pulse and TruScore results are going to tell the story. Anyone paying attention can see the writing on the wall — this org is falling apart under the current leadership.

Timing my short position

Anyone know when the next major round of exec stock vesting is? I'm guessing with so many 32+ folks seeing the internal writing on the wall: disorganization, complete lack of strategy, 996 culture, etc that there will be selloffs and a quitting spree.

Laid off

Just got my golden ticket recently. This is the 1st time I have been laid off so I reflected for about a day to soak it in after being here for over a decade. What a sense of relief it has been after that first day though. Since the layoff I found a job I throughly enjoy doing. So if you are someone that just hates your day to day start building / reconnecting with your network and chase something you like. You only get one life so don’t dedicate it to a company that is just going to oust you. Once you get older around 40+ it’s going to get harder and harder to find a job. Find a company that TRUELY has similar values as you.

Force schedule charge ? Or forcing drivers to quit?

Area that I work at was out was a steady 5 days schedule with two days off. Sometimes you can work at 6 day. Typically there'd be somebody calling out. Or if you had hours left to drive come in and help. But the six day was removed( it was never guaranteed but it was available. But now As routes have been cut. Now there's mandatory stand by days implemented. You'll be called in if they need you or if the situation allows the management to bring somebody to help or someone calls out and you can cover the route. They used to team people up but now apparently that's not being allowed. Unless its allowed. But you could get called anywhere from two in the morning till 8 in the morning. So I guess they're expecting people to stay awake from two in the morning all the way till 8:00am to possibly maybe get caught in to run a route. The same time they hired 11 new people. The problem right now is that we have standby guys anywhere from 3 to 5 kn a monday on a Monday 9 to 10 drivers on a wed or Thursday. Apparently they say we're doing okay we're doing great for the area. How we doing great with cutting routes and forcing drivers to live off of 4 days of work. 3 are light case days. Hope things get better. Are we keep hearing is it's slow season it's never been this slow ever. Those drivers that have been here for 20 plus years that have said it's never been this slow. I guess the merge or the potential merger could be causing this I don't know.....not sure what is going on. Its going to be a rough winter

Disgusting

“Today is a moment to move forward”
“Lean on one another for support” “Let’s move forward” “as we step ahead together” “remove complexity” “Thank you for all you will bring to Target’s next chapter” “remove barriers” “move forward with purpose”

We f’n get it.

To anyone struggling…

Please know it’s all going to work out. How management operates here says nothing about you or your worth. If you’re feeling stuck in a bad situation, reach out to your resources for help. Burnout is real and can keep you on the hamster wheel and stuck in a very rough mental and physical place. Take care of yourself first. You deserve to be happy. You are not alone in your feelings or experiences here. Please know if you are a decent human being with even a shred of integrity, your values will always conflict with those of corporate. The problem isn’t you. It’s the corporate system. It’s ok if you aren’t a game player. It’s a good thing to have strong ethics and morals. You are more than this job, and this too shall pass.
