Just Sad

Coworkers laid off last week, this week I hear the product I work on is being gutted. Some will move to other areas, others will be let go. For the “lucky ones” that remain, it feels like we are left behind on a sinking ship. Lower 401k, no hopes for promotion, they removed our bonuses, and after the earnings call today it seems things will continue to get worse. Besides the people I work with I can’t think of a single positive thing about working for this company, and ironically they’re in the process of wrecking that last part. The toughest part is that we can’t complain about low morale because that is by design. Leadership wants people to hate their job so they quit. Things are looking bleak - decided to start looking outside the company today.

Late 2025 impacted rif employees receiving full AIP in March 2026?

A question to those employees riffed in late 2025 who had a last employment date in December, were you promised the full AIP payout in 2026 (whatever that ends up being...)? Same question to employees that set their retirement date in December 2025? Were you promised full AIP payout in March 2026? Trying to do some planning for the near future.

Fresh New 52 week Low Today on the Stock Price

Expect a weak earnings print and disappointing bonuses. The setup is already clear.

Revenue growth is barely positive and EPS is expected to decline year over year. Legacy segments continue to drag results while growth areas aren’t scaling fast enough to offset it. Meanwhile, the balance sheet is still weighed down by massive debt, limiting flexibility and magnifying every misstep.

Billions have been spent on buybacks at higher prices, yet the stock continues to underperform peers and the broader market. That’s textbook value destruction, capital out the door with nothing to show for it. Analysts have responded by trimming expectations, not raising them.

On the cost side, operating expenses are creeping higher while productivity gains remain elusive. Decisions that add friction instead of efficiency show up quietly in margins and execution, even if they’re never called out directly.

Bonuses follow the numbers. Flat growth, declining EPS, weak stock performance, and constrained free cash flow don’t justify upside payouts. At best, expect tight targets. At worst, expect “discipline.”

Anyone ever get a bonus for a Meets/Not Meets????

Just curious! Could you possibly simply get a very low bonus since you still met some expectations? Most know what a tough place this is to work for many areas. If you are an employee who always got meets/meets and then one time its meets/does not meet -- is it manager's discretion?

Bonus % - Partially Achieved

Been with the company 10 years and received exceeded a majority of the time (8/10 reviews). To my absolute shock I have received a partially achieved. It looks like bonus payout is anticipated to be around 100% per today’s email - what can I expect for partially achieved? 50%? Lower? Thank you.

Bonuses 2026

So they delayed the employee meeting. And an out of nowhere announcement that bonus process is changing. Anyone with info on bigger picture plan

What is your total compensation breakdown?

Hey, its a tell all, what's your base salary increase/decrease and bonus increase/decrease, and what is your LOB (or field if business), JPM location (or overall area). Give percentages, or as much detail as possible. Are you depressed about comp?, are you going to quit and why? How long have you worked here? Etc. Let's be transparent.

Record Year

Just saw an official Schwab social media post about how well the company performed last year. It’s too bad that won’t translate into better merits and bonuses

Had a quick talk with my manager today and they said merits and bonuses were virtually identical to last year. How?!

When the company performs poorly, we get merit and bonus cuts. When the stock skyrockets, we remain stable, all while the EC enriches themselves. Approves 20% pay increases for themselves, stock options, golden parachutes etc.

Pay increases for us plebeians doesn’t cover inflation and the rising cost of living. What is the actual point or incentive to try at this company? Promotions are political, not based on merit. Pay increases are stagnant. You’ll get your 2-3%, smile, and keep toeing the line or you’ll be kicked to the curb. Sh-t is discouraging, man

Quarterly results

Can someone who is smarter than me help me understand how good or bad the quarterly results, and because of timing, the annual results for 2025?

It seems like we had a really good year but I can be reading this wrong. But I'm getting upset that it looks like we had a good year but I know the compensation numbers are horrible this round. And if that's the case, they do not in fact pay for performance.

Any guesses on STIP % this year?

I’ve looked at the financial goals for 2025 STIP from the last proxy report and have been tracking them all year. It seems likely that the year should exceed 100% of all 4 financial goals. But of course with the new regime who knows what will happen. Thoughts?

STIP 2025 annual metrics as of 3Q25

Adjusted OIBDA $3.1b now 2.46b
1Q $688m
2Q $824m
3Q $952m

If you got IM can you still get a raise and or bonus?

Been doing twice the work and without support from management. Was so overwhelmed and irritated about questionable business/sales/ compliance issues I pushed back about workload and lack of support. As I predicted and most of you suggested per similar messaging on here they gave me an inconsistently meets for my performance review. Said I wasn't open to new additional work and a team player.

I already considered quitting or retiring or whatever we want to call it. I am contemplating pushing back and putting the information for leadership and HR to get involved. I know not a big threat or care to them as they will fire me in the next 12 months for something concocted.

My thought is they are sc--wing me to line their pocket or give major increases to their yes men. The group currently has a shortage of workers with too much work to go around. I already knew the stress wasn't worth it with a full raise and bonus (bonus 20 to 25% of gross pay). I do need to leave imo.

Has anyone recently (last year or year before) got an IM and then a raisebor bonus still? If so how much less than prior years?

2nd year Analyst Bonus

I got partially meets expectations at year end. I have just got £4.5k in bonus. This company is an absolute joke even to the well treated analysts but it is hard to find reasons to leave when analysts can expect these bonuses for sub par work. The atmopshere in office is tense as we can sense the hatred as the rumours spread. Other analysts have reported managers and supervisors being overly critical or leaving them out of work out of spite. Worst of all, most analysts considering leaving after the 2 year program.
