Can my last day of work be on a Saturday?

If I don’t get laid off tomorrow (Tuesday 2/3) I will resign on bonus payout day 2/13. I have another job lined up but they are very flexible on start day. I need to give 30 days notice at WF, can my last day of work be Saturday 3/14? Or do I need to work until Monday 3/16?

It’s unlikely that I’ll be laid off tomorrow unfortunately.

Advice/Intel from anyone who has been laid off

Hi, I have been feeling super nervous about some of the things I have been hearing around re-orgs within the company and am fairly certain my position will be eliminated.

For those of you who have recently been laid off by CVS for that matter, hoping you can share some wisdom..

How did the process go?
Did you get your bonus from the previous year (if you are eliminated before it is paid out)?
Were you given adequate resources to find another role internally?
Anything specific I should ask the HR person if I do get notified?

Any intel would help. I can see the writing on the wall and trying to get myself as prepared as possible. Thanks in advance!

Question for those formerly displaced..

If you were previously displaced, did you get your annual bonus? Or do they find a reason not to give it? I had a “meets” rating at midyear before displaced in Oct. so didn’t get an annual review due to the timing. I met the eligibility cut off because I was employed through September 30, 2025. Thank you.

I would prefer not hearing from anybody just speculating, rather people who have been displaced and can speak on experience.

Recent Layoffs attributed to losing a large contract

The irony - People who were responsible to lose the contract are rewarded with continuing employment and perhaps bonus while all people not even remotely connected are fired.

CEO and their cronies - "I take full responsibility and willing to sacrifice 2500 wonderful and talented colleagues for my stupid mistakes"

Submitting two weeks notice before bonus payout- can they withhold my payout?

Planning on submitting two weeks notice on the 19th, which would mark my last day sometime in March, after bonus gets paid out. Assuming I don’t get let go immediately and work until my last day in March, would I still be paid out my bonus or is it possible that it wouldn’t get paid out? I don’t think they would let me go immediately due to KT sessions, but wasn’t sure how it would work

Job eliminated at year end, shafted on the bonus

Just when you think these vultures can't get any lower, they skrewed people out of their hard earned bonus. People worked 11 months of the year, were rated meets, and got the unexpected shaft. So glad I got out of this toxic environment. They will do anything to skrew you. #Toxic #Shaft

Bonus

Don’t be fooled by the bonus when they try to feed you the eNPS survey shortly after thinking you’ll respond more favorably while you're fat and happy. That is all this is.

Below Meets: Bonus Thread

For those that got an IM or NI, what was your comp discussion like? Any raise and what bonus?

This was my first full year and got IM at year end for basically no reason. Whatever.

  • No raise … I’m already paid on the higher end of my title, also located in major hub

  • Bonus … same $ as stated in my offer letter, about 15%

Top performers getting mandatory low performance for attrition

15 percent of high performers across all band levels are be rated as low performers to reduce bonus pay outs. This is the next move on attrition. Next steps may be pips and subsequent layoffs. You would think a company as large as IBM would be able to handle this differently. Hopefully people who know they are high performers that get a low performance review know this has nothing to do with them and everything to do with the dysfunctional management team at IBM.

Sharing success

Anyone else’s excited for their Sharing Success award! Such a thoughtful thing our company does, rewarding us with a whopping 65 units….
The RSUs and cash bonuses are pathetic.
Meanwhile, BM (Bowel Movement) unloads nearly 17k shares for just under $1m in the middle of each month.

My boss is too nice! Good or bad?

Is it a problem? He moderate bonus. Big project he put everyone name in to take credit. Let my demoted old boss take my just assigned work which is half way done. Tolerate any team member misbehavior to keep everyone a job! Rate everyone 3 to tell HR no difference effort when Citi changed to performance base. Switch work assignment to make smart ones to teach dead wood. Should I be nice and cover all deadwood in my team? Is my team overstuffed? But claimed understaffed?

Review Process Corporate

I just need to blow off some steam. Anyone else think the review process is fu--ing stupid? I’m so tired of it. Every year, EVERY YEAR, they change the god damn format and make it more difficult than the year before. They move the goalposts on our evaluations so we receive the bare minimum increase on top of our bonuses. I’m tired of being held responsible for things that are outside of the responsibilities of my position. It’s bullsh-t. I’ve submitted my review twice now only for it to be sent back bc I was missing some things. No explanation, no direction. Just forwarded emails. The review process in this organization is fu--ing stupid and ridiculous and honestly? They don’t even look at them. They just want them completed so they can sign off on them. I know this to be true bc I’ve used the same verbiage in my personal comments for years now. They don’t look. They only care about paying the least they can pay. These reviews are a fu--ing headache.
