It’s hard to trust anyone

I don’t know when work turned into everyone trying to prove they’re the last one who should be cut, but that’s what it feels like now. People chase approval, grab credit, and act friendly until there’s a chance to make someone else look bad. It’s draining.

The worst part is that this isn't accidental. When leadership rewards this kind of behavior, people learn fast. I'm relatively new in my career but if this is how it's always going to be, well fu-k.


Dell is what I like to call sh!tty pants

Looks good on the outside but at its core, just rotten. Very polished, good story. When you look under the hood it’s a vile, rotten place filled with rotten SVPs and executives who all have sh!t in their pants.

They need to be able to make great slides to hide their incompetency so they hire consultants. They’re greed, self centered people who would stab you in the back in a second without thinking about it. They’re incompetent, immature, a$$ kissing, vile human beings who are nothing but greedy.

Get out of Dell if you can because there is absolutely nothing behind that stock price and it’s going to drop like a rock.

The worst of the worst types of people are at Dell and it’s not going to get better.


toxic team

vp bolted so directors are now trying to level up themselves by punching down on the lower level members on the team. it’s actually stunning how far you can go by giving all your work to your juniors with zero direction and then publicly dressing them down when it’s not up to your (see: dipsh-t) standards. so much for being an industry veteran when someone with no experience can tell you how it is. the job hunt continues!


Toxic manager posts

For the better part of past 2.5 years, my manager has been "dangling the carrot" in front of me as a promise to give me opportunities but reality is I have to find my own ways to showcase my work.

I have noticed this snake keeps shutting down my thoughts / ideas in group calls.

Apart from that, there's a pattern I noticed of finding ways / excuse to invalidate my work as well as giving a new joinee in the team more opportunities, asking team to reach out to them for assistance (if any).

Is this normal at Fido?


Get rid of EMTEC phDs

Stubborn, zero business acumen, dishonest , intolerably arrogant

Yes it is is difficult to stand the above qualities, and even harder when they add no value to the bottom line, do easy work stuck in a corner in their lab ir on their big screen monitors.

And yes research helps us have talking points for investors but largely it is a waste of money. Nothing to show for, failed projects don’t help build any i ternal confidence either.

The most toxic individuals I have worked with in exxon have been part of the research company, specifically Upstream Research Company. They’ve spent billions knowlingly on failed projects. It is even true today, an internal audit must be done on the valuation claims of all Upstream projects, they are inflated numbers.
