Forced/Mandatory/Compulsory Arbitration

UHG uses forced arbitration. If you don't know what it is and how it impacts the public, consumers, employees, etc. Look it up! Here is a link you can start with, but there's a lot of information on it out there. Stay informed and know your rights. Also check your State Laws, as certain States have counters to the use of it. Knowledge is Power.

Don’t trade your life for a paycheck

People are complaining today as if any of this is new, but it isn’t. These same patterns have played out in every generation. Different names, different systems, same cycles. Jobs change, economies shift, uncertainty comes and goes. It happens throughout the lives of every generation. What changes is not the pattern itself, but how aware people are of it, and how they respond when it shows up again.

Follow the narrow path that leads to life.

Chevron Blames California on Highway Billboards: “Sacramento policies did this. Now you pay more.”

  • Chevron Signs In Contra Costa Blame California Politicians For High Gas Prices
    April 21, 2026 - 8:00 AM

Drivers filling up at Chevron stations across the region are being met with a bold and unmistakable message: “Sacramento policies did this. Now you pay more.”

The large signs, recently installed at multiple locations, feature an eye-catching image of a car wrapped in fuel hoses – a visual meant to symbolize the burden of rising gas prices. Beneath the headline, smaller text claims that California politicians are prioritizing foreign oil over local jobs and lower costs, placing the blame for high fuel prices squarely on state leadership.

The signage campaign appears designed to spark conversation – and controversy – among motorists already feeling the pinch at the pump. With California consistently posting the highest gas prices in the nation, the message taps into a growing frustration among drivers.

Adding to the push, each sign includes a QR code directing viewers to additional information. Chevron branding is visible, indicating the campaign is backed by the oil giant, though it stops short of directly advocating for specific legislation.

The rollout comes amid ongoing discussions in Sacramento over energy policy,
environmental regulations, and the state’s transition away from fossil fuels. Critics of current policies argue that regulations and refinery constraints contribute to higher prices, while supporters maintain those measures are necessary for long-term environmental and public health goals.

For now, the signs are doing exactly what they’re intended to do – getting people’s attention. Whether they shift opinions or policy is another question entirely, but at the pump, they’re hard to ignore

Can we use this forum for more?

Situation: Layoffs have been occurring almost continually globally for the past period, at least 8 years, possibly much longer. Yet we only here anecdotal information regarding details.
Idea: Instead of just posting here, alert any remaining local media sources in your region about what has happened. Maybe that has already been done. If so, post a link to the article here where others can share on social media. If not, tell the story and if the media is still well-funded enough, may be able to do some investigative reporting. The idea is to get a larger audience aware of the ongoing removal of employees.
Benefits:

  • Increased possibilities of potential new employees thinking twice before joining
  • raised awareness of retail investors who are chasing a dividend or turnaround,
  • expanded visibility for current employees to what is actually happening in the environment (particularly remote employees who don't see their co-workers being walked out)
  • Feel good effect by letting a broader audience know what the company is attempting to keep hidden

Increase in vto? Should we be worried?

Has anyone else noticed the recent increase in VTO offerings across Medicare/Medicaid member services?

Trying to better understand if this is just volume-related or part of a larger shift. If anyone has any general insight or perspective, it would be helpful.

Always good to stay aware of what’s going on.

Integrity/Risk Awareness

Retail branch managers in my city are telling us to call clients on the federal do not call list and if a sale happens on the call, we are to log that we didn’t “lead” with the sale. I helped out at one branch recently and there bankers are being told the same as my branch. Previously when I started working here, the manager would tell us that we are to log bad contact information on the lead and leave notes that it is on the do not call list. We are now told that if we don’t call clients on the federal do not call list and if we log bad contact information that we will be in hot water with area manager. We are told this change is coming from our area manager and it’s been going on for a little over a month now. I do believe it’s coming from above my branch manager because I’m seeing it at more than just my location due to helping branches with turnover. Most recently this area manager is “encouraging” the managers get us to do seemingly unscrupulous stuff with opening accounts dda units and shifting dollars to our area. Is they’re funny business coming from way up top being seen everywhere or is it just area leadership in north Florida? Relatively new to this bank and wondering if I should prepare an exit before staying too long.

Friendly Reminder to Everyone Here

If you don't have any experience with pseudo anonymous forums online, just know that it's incredibly easy for literally one person to pose as multiple people to steer the narrative in any direction.

There are no IDs tied to individual posters or IP addresses here, so you don't even need to use different devices or a vpn to completely spam this forum.

People can and do pretend to be other people all the time, not just to troll but to try and warp reality to their perspective. Just something to keep in mind when you read posts here.

Upcoming Year-End Workforce Reductions 2025

Layoffs are anticipated before the end of the year, with WARN notices currently being prepared. The expected rollout includes:

Phase 1: 1,000 employees on October 20, 2025
Phase 2: 1,100 employees also on October 20, 2025
Phase 3: 400 employees on December 15, 2025

Employees may begin to notice subtle behavioral shifts in their direct supervisors. These may include unusually warm and supportive interactions such as increased check-ins, inquiries about personal well-being, family, vacation plans, and offers of help with professional goals. Communications may take on an exceptionally friendly tone, both digitally and in one-on-one meetings.

Such changes often signal that decisions have already been made at higher levels. In many cases, managers are aware of selections made by the layoff committee or may have submitted names themselves to leadership for consideration.

This message is not intended to create fear or panic. Instead, it is a call to awareness and preparedness. If you notice similar behavioral patterns from your supervisors, take proactive steps: begin updating your resume, reconnect with your professional network, and ensure your references are current and accessible. Staying ahead of the curve can make all the difference.
