Move on

I spent three years at Cigna with a clueless boss, impossible targets, and a team that made every day exhausting. I was drained in every way, and it even messed with my personal life. I finally left last year and now I’m paid better, working with... — read more

Manager Gone - Direct Reports Next?

I manage a small team of about 4 people in Evernorth Tech and just learned I am being moved under another director as my current boss is being let go. My three peers and their teams (similar sizes) are instead being moved up to report directly to my... — read more

Farewell On-Site IT Support

After April 30, on-site IT support in Connecticut, St Louis, Colorado, and New Jersey. The only options will be Tech Central chat or Service Desk via phone. Close out a useful function that's actually been helpful when needed, so we can communicate... — read more

Another pointless reshuffle

This was done before, many times (layoffs, restructuring, whatever name they slap on it) and it never fixes a single thing. Performance stays bad, any small wins vanish fast, and we’re right back where we started. But hey, let’s do it all again... — read more

Is Cigna making itself attractive to buyers?

We might be missing the real reason for all these layoffs. One reasons companies layoff employees and cut costs is to make itself attractive to buyers by reducing costs in general and making itself look more efficient. I just wonder........

Severence details

Can someone that recently got laid off share what the severance package includes? Those of us that weren’t impacted in this round are interested to know because we may be next.

Got laid off. Here's what I know

Here's the dirt I know: it's was "by function" meaning someone from high up (won't name but know who) was whispering in the ears of VPs what functions they thought should be cut. A pretty high level didnt have any say in what happened and just... — read more

We lost some of our best talent

I'll never understand this logic. Lay off people who earn the most knowing they are simultaneously some of your best people, then end up paying more to get two people to do their job, because one new person can't handle it on their own. I've seen it... — read more

Will I lose my scheduled PTO?

I was laid off with a termination date set 30 days out, but I had some PTO scheduled at the end of the month that I never canceled. Am I essentially losing those days? I’ve been trying to get in touch with Cigna but haven’t had any luck. — read more

What happens to unvested stock?

Like the title says- I got laid off yesterday and I'm having a hard time getting in touch with the department at Cigna that would tell me what happens to my invested LTI (maybe they were laid off too?). Does anyone know for sure?

From ethical to invaded…

4/3 - Cigna’s Liberation Day

Just like the day before where we all got slapped with the Trump Tariff Tax and a bunch of unnecessary pain, Cigna went through with a large layoff designed to avoid WARN laws (as usual), and done in a scope and manner that will cripple productivity... — read more

Layoffs expose the corruption

The total lack of common sense used in selecting which individuals to layoff completely shows how inept the leadership making the decisions are. It's one thing to have a 10% RIF and use it to get rid of your lowest performers. But when you allow the... — read more

Experienced Epic analysts layoffs

Since the hiring of a 30-something director there’s been an effort to remake the Epic group with younger employees. Experienced managers and analysts exiting and replaced by the director’s inexperienced young friends.

When is the next round?

Ok, now we are done with April round. How much time do I have to prepare for a job switch and wait to get JE’d.. Want to time perfectly so I double dip and make f—king joke of this sh---y job

Termination One Month Out

I received news of my termination today. My termination date is effective in one month (May 3rd). How am I supposed to work during this time? I certainly don’t give a s—t anymore but I don’t want to put my severance at risk. Anyways. Sending genuine... — read more

Layoffs not new in this world.

Cigna is too big of a company to fall. Trust me… I have seen worse situations than Cigna. The current mess is due to some wrong choices our leaders made… but there is no point in blaming them either… we would have done the same as well. Things... — read more

Layoffs today at EviCore

Not sure how deep and broad they go, but there are layoffs happening today in the EviCore portion of Cigna. I believe it is a first step to dissolving EviCore.

Severance

Is it the same as the last time? Or have they implemented some changes?

Look at it this way

Even if you're laid off today, at least you'll be out of this mess and on your way to a better company - because, let's face it, at this point, there are few places that are worse than Cigna. I don't mean to make light of the situation, but I do... — read more

Leader - Laid Off

Like it says on the tin. I was set up for failure, isolated, and axed. There's nothing more to really say about it.
