Cigna not giving rest breaks

Has anyone else had a problem with Cigna not scheduling your legally entitled rest breaks? I have had many conversations with my manager about this, and they continue to not give me rest breaks. I have filed a complaint with my state's BOLI 6 months ago, and they have not investigated yet. Am I the only one?

I say this after every layoff and I'll say it again

Don't pick up any extra work! If you do, you're just validating this leadership in thinking we can do more with less. You're making it seem like it was justified that they removed people since everything is getting done with fewer people. They don't give a damn that means that those who are left are breaking their backs trying to keep things running. They just see it's getting done and patting themselves on their backs. So don't do it. Make yourself busy whenever asked to do this or that if it was not part of your job before. And if you're worried about how that'll reflect on you, I've been doing it for two years and I'm still here.

Channel Layoffs

I was told a couple months ago that I needed to be working/leading all the channel deals in my pipeline which has su-ked with no pay increase. Now I have heard that the channel team is going away from my AE who is usually right. Wonder if I will not have to work with partners anymore. Anyone else heard this?

Microsoft & Planview

I have been in the company > 5 years working in various Orgs. This migration to O365 and Sharepoint has been a disgrace. Google sheets and Looker dashboards all losing functionality and requiring work. And having to run every tiny piece of work through the weeds of Planview.
How is this improving our company?
How is this improving collaboration?
Sorry for the rant and it might be off topic. BUT THIS IS A SHAMBLES.
When will the leaders be held to account instead of the poor workers dealing with their mess?!

Please, I beg of you God, cut all the 1999-2000 dot-com bo-m hires tomorrow.

These people keep getting spared every layoff and they're the ones at the water cooler, long overdue for retirement. They are good at showing up on time in a crisply ironed shirt with a positive attitude, much like the old IBMers. But as far as carrying the load when half the team gets axed (strictly according to their manager's own specific preferences and prejudices), the work output won't scale accordingly. They have one speed. The speed of every telephone company. Because every telephone company is comprised of them.

Swamped, 0 support

I am just tired working 11 x 5 + 6, no support and everyone above constant questions on status, updates, procedures, is this group involved, did these forms get filled out, oh wait a new procedure to follow drop the one you are in the middle of, oh wait no one has access, this other group forgot to update, wait the excel is not used by the other group, go make a presentation invite 20 people, weekly meeting after meeting just to inform, me (if you have nothing to say why are you here?). Go home, repeat AND USE YOUR OWN TIME TO DO WORK and 0 fcjs given by everyone. EVERYONE afraid to lose their job, micro manage and critical of everything. Resume out

ADO

IT is now a mess. What was a lightweight tool for cross-functional professionals for backlog management, tracking, discussion is now a mesh of complex of un related busy work. Leadership, don't know heads to tail. Decides to build a new layer of complexity and gatekeepers - calling these people RTEs. When will actual work be done with real knowledge ? But, no we have powepoint jockeys, and fake 2nd grade maths used in putting up ratios and calling them velocity, flow and cycle time. Try solving some hard problems for once.

PHASE ONE

Has anyone received any reliable information on how long Phase One will last? In the 900 building in Smithfield, it’s a total nightmare. Not enough bathrooms, desks, parking spots, takes 30 minutes to get off campus, etc - and that’s just for 50/50. I realize the upper crust wants huge attrition numbers but some of us have no choice. This toxic environment is about to get worse - amazing.

Are you a victim of unfair scheduling??

Are you being scheduled:

Excessively early morning or late evening shifts?

Back to back closing and opening shifts ?

More than 5 day stretches?

Longer than 8 hour workdays?

Split shifts ?

Having hours cut suddenly to zero or almost no hours?

Asked to work while your on a vacation? (Salary)

Asked to go without a meal break?

Asked to take a two hour meal break to save payroll hours?

Asked to come in excessively on a scheduled day off?

Cutting certain associates hours, and giving those hours to a “favorite “ ??

Lazy Employees Who Make No Effort

In the past few months, I’ve noticed a significant increase of emails being sent by employees to other departments for “assistance”.

They make no effort to elaborate on the issue or explain why they cannot handle the request themselves. It’s the classic dump & run, the “please read the full email chain and figure it out for me, thanks” variety. To make matters worse, they copy others to email to make it look like they are aggressively handling the issue, then I have them blowing up my email box for follow-ups.

I’m tired of the complete lack of respect for my time. Management couldn’t give a sh--e about it.

How wide spread of an issue is this?

I’ve decided to start ignoring these emails and hopefully send the silent message to stop the insanity.

I’m not your secretary, DO IT YOURSELF!

8 / 1392

So approximately 8 laid off in ITC and 1392 whq?
Better get to work ITC because those of us that are unfortunately left, who saw knowledge and skill get canned this week are not going to be carrying the workload for you like we have been the last few years.
Tech Leaders - When it’s time for your d-mb panicked questions, ask your chosen workforce at ITC who have zero connection to the biz and no passion for the company.

Thanks a lot, ELP

Yeah, Chevron spends too much on consultants - totally agree. But since this genius reorg there's no one left to do the actual work. Now ELP has to be the guardians of anyone and anything who may use a consultant - oh, except for all the exec consultants who are out of scope. You know, the brilliant folks who designed this mess. $crew you, ELP, and a big eff you to ES.

How Flexable Are We Talking?

This entire thing will fall apart before it even begins on the 4th if we don't start getting some sort of direction. For example, I have to get my kids on/off the bus in the morn/afternoon. Is 9-2 or 10-3 acceptable in-office time? Who knows! What I do know, is I won't be in the office 8 hours a day for 5 days a week and my job will still be done well and on time.

The clock is ticking

Look around at who’s left. It’s hard not to feel like we’re all temporary at this point. Layoffs keep coming, and eventually they will reach everyone they have to pay more than pocket change. Anyone still standing in the US is on borrowed time. It’s less a question of if and more of when.

Micro

In the Southeast ( Georgia), they want to continue to humiliate you with a call at 430 on Friday if you don’t sell 15 new lines a week in micro under the new leadership . Asking you what you are doing to hit your number, why you missed your commit, and what you are doing to make up your deficit. They belittle and degrade you too.

Not only that but they want you working on the weekends (7 days a week) until you sell 15. They are telling you to go to flea markets and stuff. This is ridiculous. Micro sux and so does t-maybe

Branch Banking Future

As of this passed Saturday, many branches nationally have officially expanded to closing at 2pm. I heard there are a couple more phases before EOY for the rest of those Saturday branches to do the same. We now have TCR’s making us more effective, however getting harder and harder to find staff. Some of branches nationally have closed drive-thru, some areas have not.

At what point do we put the employees first???? For overall workload and retention.

Any one have any ideas what the next step of the way our branches operate takes place ?

Try being on the other side

You are all complaining about Wells India and the Engine taking all your work, but have you ever thought that maybe it's not really fun to take on so much work. We are paid pennies compared to you and are asked to do more and more. Have some respect when you complain on here that maybe your life isn't so bad

HR logging hours enforcing RTO

Heard rumors that HR is attempting to come up with a system to ensure everyone is spending 8 hours in the office.

Anyone else can confirm this?

Until now it seems they screen for badging in the office. This of course completely leaves out all the evening / weekend calls and booting up vpn on the laptop to resolve issues (sometimes for several hours), not to mention when you need to be in the house for the occasional service but can definitely work from home very efficiently.

You'll be training your own replacements

Working for a large tech company isn't the job utopia it once was. In addition to worrying about layoffs and the constant threat of AI, Meta workers will soon have all their mouse movements, clicks, and keystrokes logged by the company. What's likely to further annoy workers is the purpose for these keyloggers: to train Meta's AI agents so they can perform work tasks.

More FedEx layoffs

A bunch of people laid off at Menands facility. It's funny, since the volume of work is not changing, yet they seem to think it can continue uninterrupted with fewer workers. I wonder how that's going to work out for them in the long run.

This is the new normal

I can't with people who say there were surprised by layoffs. How?? Layoffs have been a regular occurrence for years. Constant small cuts with several major rounds every few months. Where were you if you managed to miss this? I'm not saying it should be like this, but please, stop saying "layoffs happened out of nowhere."
