I genuinely feel bad for those who are soon forced to use a half broken tool

The SUPER TOP SECRET ULTRA SECRET NDA project that everyone knows about called Maverick is getting close to it's official "roll out" live day and it's so far from ready that it's comical.

Sadly, many of you - specifically sales, ISG/CSG - are going to have the misfortune of "testing" it out. I know nothing about what these new tools are, what they are replacing (apparently DOMS is being "replaced" but that's been said for the last 20 years LOL) but I will say that you are all in for a horrible time when it goes live.

I think the deadline/go live date is mid May and so much of it is STILL being tested right now. Keep in mind the OG "go live date" was in February...

Godspeed my friends.

Next move(s) ?

Grapevine tells me that a large Sales FY27 Go To Market Reorg is set for May.

Early May we will hear about Two items:
1) You must live in your Sales territory
(No more living in New York covering Florida for example)
You can find another gig where you live (good luck)
You can relocate on your own dime to be inside territory
Or you can leave Oracle

2) Sales Territories will be defined as Enterprise and General Territory FY27 for all of ORCL not just commercial

Goal is soft RIF: Still too many people and too many territories

No clue if any of this is accurate.
Let the world know if you know.

iHeartMedia Initiates Layoffs Across Management and Sales

iHeartMedia has initiated a new round of layoffs. These reductions impact both management and sales departments. Several key executives have already departed the company. Affected roles include regional presidents and sales vice presidents. These changes span multiple markets across the United States.

It’s impossible to operate this way!

Cisco has decided to completely destroy its sales channels step by step. The frustration is enormous not only among business partners but also among salespeople. Every two weeks they raise prices, there is no strategy, the products are overpriced, and the worst thing is that there is really no listening ear at Cisco.

Tesla Cuts Staff Amid EV Market Slowdown

Tesla has laid off 22% of its workforce. This action follows two years of declining sales. Sales of electric vehicles have slowed significantly. Federal payments for consumer EV purchases ended last October. General Motors also anticipates a $6 billion loss from EV sales for 2025.

This article is frighteningly true...

Because it cuts thru the noise to the heart of Nike downward slide. If EH and queen of self promotion CS are reading this and not sh-----g bricks and have no plan to fix this, Nikes days are numbered.

Stores closing in CA region

VP said there will be 6 stores closing in the CA region this year. Came down on last STL call. Looking at 3 in the greater LA area, 1 in San Diego and two in northern California. Going to be cutting the stores with the lowest sales volume because they're not meeting sales projections and they're running above cost for labor.

Getting ready to close the sale

Its not complicated: Deason family wealth manager is the chairman. He bounced bandy in preparation for sale to Fuji. Darwin has been deceased for a while and the family wants to get out of X whatever they can. Louie is just a placeholder until a sale can be arranged and closed. There will be some rearranging of chairs and some more layoffs in prep for the sale but it wont take too long to line it up and make it happen. Then the kids can move on with their lives and Daddy's money.

Price “adjustments” 😂

Another monumental sc--w up from 3M corporate functions - customers affected by multiple divisions with comms sent from some but not others so total confusion amongst our channel. No proposed adjustment on clp so nightmare for customers and trying to push all admin on to them, whilst also not providing any information that they need to make the changes. Way to go commercial excellence team - completely disconnected from reality and the businesses, are we on the business of destroying all of our relationships and everything our sales teams work for, why are you so focussed on sales prevention —YOU ARE CRASHING OUR BUSINESSES SO WAKE UP.

Green checks!! Green checks!! Retail turns customers away due to Green Checks!!

Here in Pennsylvania from the western part of the state to the east we are discouraged everyday from going into the customer accounts due to green checks. Green checks mean the customer qualifies for internet air or fiber. The focus seems to be the AIA ratio. Hitting your goals or being close to your goal doesn’t matter. What’s your ratio? They are gonna beat it over your head and make your job not fun and the customer experience cr-ppy. Between corporate retail and authorized we are just sending the customers on one big circlej--kDon’t sign in and check and scrub an account. God forbid you do what used to be our job and sign into a customers account and sell something other than Internet. Stores send customers out and about for trade ins and any other option that doesn’t cede Internet. WHAT A HORRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. AT&T doesn’t care about the employee, we know that, but they don’t care about the customer. Take it from me. Upper management outside of the stores encourages store managers to do all of this. The store managers are put into a horrible position. Instead of selling everyone is walking on egg shells. AT&T seems to breed the worst of the worst when it comes to Director and Associate Directors. Even some VP GM’s. These people are clueless.

R2B transforming to D2D

What are the thoughts behind this transition? Do you think this is go move or bad move? What are the rumors on how quota is going to be and if we are getting a comp increase decrease or change to salary? Just any more information about this transition would be appreciated. Crazy times right now at Verizon. (Posted this on other VzW thread got no responses sorry)

For those in sales

It's my understanding out of Jacksonville a new wrinkle comes out next month. If you are not at 85% of calendar Q1 goals 30 day PiP's will be handed out. They will be aggressive in nature. They are trying to squeeze as much revenue performance out of sales as possible or cut losses quickly.

F150 sales at $4 a gallon

So it looks like our number one cash cow f150 sales will be down 30% at current gas prices. The guy with the f150 is definitely not driving it as much nowadays. This will make ford go bankrupt sooner. I don’t see how we get out of this mess. Remaining year will be tough hopefully we can get through it.

Great Q4 earnings report

Great job everyone! As a retired Macy's IT worker, it is great to see Tony Spring take the reins and show incredible sales results. Such a pleasure not to fear sales reporting.

As a team, you all deserve recognition. Yes, many changes- retail is ever changing, especially in the environment we are currently in.
Macy's did a great job navigating the change, great execution in planning as well.

Here's wishing you all a successful 2026,!

Sales sla-ghter in May

Heard today from a friend of mine who is a director in Sales that they were given notice in January of a very large layoff in May. He was told back in November to put a list together to have finalized in January for layoffs in May.

I'm not in sales so was curious what the "qualifications" were for wfr and he said that it's primrily metric based. Call times, achieving numbers, and weirdly enough, likeability - whatever tf thats supposed to mean...

Apparently his team of 20 is getting cut to 10 people, though. And that's just his team

Anyone else got an interview at salesforce

Saw someone else get an interview on a shared screen today, are they just targeting five9 now for staff?

I had one in my LinkedIn dms, are there any other good employers looking for five9 employees?

I am hoping to get out of here soon, the salary and management toxicity really struck a nerve recently

I expect to see a Revenue line item for Alexandra’s clothing sales of $1 Billion…

Who knew we were selling more in sweatshirts and soap than we were EVs?

“Ford…is raking in a whopping $1 billion in merchandising deals as a result of these expanded efforts. Even a recent collaboration with Dr. Squatch - which led to the creation of the Bronco Bricc soap bar - resulted in 40,000 units being moved across three days, selling out in record time as well.” (7/1/2024 Ford Authority)

April 1 - 20-40 Accounts , Hunting , More Layoffs

Effective 4/1 , every reps account assignments will be slimmed down to 20-40 accounts in total. The remainder will be moved to inside sales. Expect more layoffs, compensation will be moved to net new client acquisition (make the same but you have to convince new businesses to work with this horrendous business - in other words , make a lot less). Good luck everyone. I feel sorry for all the great customers that will no longer have the coverage they need to support them. This is embarrassing.
