Coming soon, monitoring bathroom breaks

Leadership and the managing committee has been monitoring time spent in the restrooms and soon will be providing reporting in workday. Managers will be alerted if breaks exceed time deemed acceptable by our exceptional leaders. Two or more breaks a day will result in disciplinary actions.

Happy employee appreciation!

Big bro is watching

Looks like ford is tracking computers. Happened to check network traffic and workblaze-us.lakesidesoftware.com is showing up every 3 minutes. This wasn’t on my network traffic in the recent past. If you take a trip over to their website it shows Ford as a trusted partner. Transparency would have been nice.

Teamworks tracking; February layoffs

Layoffs and restructuring are happening this month. Also, Teamworks metrics will start being actively reported to upper management and used as part of the justification for additional layoffs in 2026.

Post 9s, time offsite without PTO, total time onsite will all be monitored. Those of you waiting for a sign... I think this is it.

In Office Scorecard Update

I see the new update, with the new dashboard on MySource highlighting exactly your in office exceptions seperate from other time off (e.g. holidays/sick).

Anyone have any insight on how the monitoring may change? Guessing there will be increased focus on the in-office exceptions.

Sudden spike in support for RTO here

I am noticing that whenever people complain about the RTO suddenly seeing people who are like a-holes about it and being supportive of it which wasn't the case earlier.

Is there like a sudden spike in trolls or ragebaiters?

Also nobody being happy about RTO makes sense and linger on especially when the company has been lying about promising remote or hybrid work but instead they are just effectively trying to ki-l it. Plus the facilities are not in good shape and monitoring in place shows that they just want to control which is another reason to be mad about.

RTO and staying in for full shift

Anyone has to stay in the office when they come in for their full shift? Our leadership is pushing managers to make sure their staffs stay in the office for their full 8 hours of shift, especially in JAB. Those in JAB who's managers are in KC are also to video call their managers in non-JAB location every morning to confirm they are in fact in the office from start of their shift as well.

What do we really know about activity tracking so far?

So many people have been discussing activity tracking (not badge in and out) but what exactly does it entail? Surely it can't just be how many emails you send or read or the time spent on apps?
If I run a script or load a page and it takes, say, a minute, and I don't do anything else in that minute, is that a minute if inactivity?

@OP , FYI, an employer has the right to require an exempt employee to work a set schedule and hours.[1] Not sure which university issued you a JD Degree.📚🎓⚖️🏛️

”This is very interesting read. I can see Bridget Engle getting fired and Charlie tossed as well for tracking hours of exempt employees and treating them like hourly. I can't wait to see those reports:) Doubt she finds work again not having a college degree, passing herself off as a techie. Carrie and Stumpf had "eight is great", Bridget and Charlie have "8 hours office tracking."

NICE work station

Got an email about this being installed on computers. We are WFH. Any idea what it actually does? The email was obviously low key but reading between lines seems like it will make sure you're actually doing stuff on your PC? I have no idea really. Sometimes we have downtime at my role, does this mean if I'm not doing something productive like idk reading notes or work files, I'll get in trouble if I step away from PC for a bit?

Workplace of the future? -Mandatory Work Cycle Compliance and Zero-Tolerance Presence Policy

Purpose: To enforce mandatory physical presence and ensure measurable, minimum value generation during all assigned work periods to maximize shareholder return.

  1. Mandatory Physical Presence and Monitoring

All workstations are equipped with a Certified Occupancy Sensor and a visible Presence Timer linked to the employee's system. Departure from the seat before the Work Cycle reaches "Complete" status (Green) is strictly prohibited.

  1. Value Creation and AI Productivity Metrics
All digital activity is subject to continuous monitoring by Proprietary AI Productivity Tools (PAPT). These tools track and quantify:
Activity Volume: The prerequisite amount of digital activity (e.g., keystrokes, application usage, meeting participation) required for the cycle.

Created Value: The prerequisite amount of measurable output (e.g., ticket closures, code commits, report finalization) deemed necessary for value generation.

  1. Incomplete Work Cycle Protocol for Salaried Employees

If an employee fails to achieve both the Activity Volume and the Created Value prerequisites, the Work Cycle will be designated Incomplete (Red Status).

Salaried employees with an Incomplete Work Cycle will be required to immediately extend their workday until all prerequisite metrics are met and the timer reaches "Complete" (Green Status), regardless of scheduled end time. This constitutes uncompensated time necessary to meet core job requirements.

  1. Mandatory Adherence Tier and Workstation Restraint

Any employee registering three or more Incomplete or prematurely terminated Work Cycles in a 30-day period will be automatically placed in the Mandatory Adherence Tier.

These employees must formally consent to the installation of an Electronic Workstation Restraint System (Seatbelt), which will remain locked throughout the work period.

Failure to consent to the terms of the Mandatory Adherence Tier and the installation of the restraint system will be viewed as a refusal to comply with mandatory operational policy and will result in immediate termination.

Authorized Release will only occur during assigned scheduled breaks, lunch periods, and one (1) pre-approved, ad hoc restroom break per half-day shift.

Activity monitoring first look

I had my first meeting about this yesterday, and I’m here to tell you that it’s very real. My manager reported my average active hours over a period of time and my team’s average active hours for comparison. Since this was the first meeting, no guidance was given on what to do/not do based on my numbers.

What isn’t clear, and wasn’t provided to me despite asking, is exactly what activity is being captured, but based on the numbers, I have to presume it’s some combination of engaging with applications and being active on Teams calls. Ironically, what wasn’t captured was the quality of my work during the same time period. And before any assumptions are made, my role is fairly senior. I’ve been with Wells for a long time; I’m not in a call center or ops type position. I can’t be any more specific than that without risking anonymity.

So yeah, this is the next phase.

Spyware on work PCs

In this thread we talk about how Corpo is spying on you. I'll start:

  • FortiClient
  • SentinelOne
  • SentinelOne plugin for browsers
  • ZScaler (even when it's Off) - fun fact, this website is banned!
  • LinkedIn "compliance" - yes, they're going through the information on the LinkedIn profiles - both FTE and Contractors

Ratted out by a colleague (HWW)

Yesterday I got called out for not working long enough at my assigned location by someone else who works there. They emailed my boss and told her that I am not respecting the "full intent" of the "How We Work" policy. Apparently I leave too soon after I arrive. WTF? Now we have the internal police force looking over our shoulders and counting the minutes we are warming a chair?

Network tracking on work computer?

Anyone hearing a rumor about moving to track length of time laptop is connected on-premises to a USB network (not VPN)? Been hearing this in unrelated areas over the last few weeks, but it seems far too ‘big brother’. I know they can already track every moment on it, but I can’t imagine they’ll micro-manage this much to ensure RTO compliance to the point of tracking length of time on network. Anyone know more about this to confirm if it’s true?

Computers being watched

If you value any anonymity, you should not be browsing or posting here from your work computer.

HR and security teams are monitoring Slack, scanning channels and messages for content related to layoffs, and forcing people to delete messages that they deem unacceptable, citing vague security reasons (there is already one thread where messages were forced to be edited/removed). The same is being done for emails.

If you think 8 hours is bad, just wait

Someone posted the other day that this site doesn’t have useful information anymore. Well I’m offering up some right here.

I’ve posted before with insights on RTO being delayed, what the original RTO mandate would look like, how time in office is being tracked, and most recently the stricter 8 hour requirement. All before any of it happened. I’m nobody, but I’m uniquely connected to several people in key roles.

If you’re chuffed at the 8 hour mandate, then you’ll really be up in arms when productivity monitoring metrics start being rolled out. And they will be soon. This is already being tested and will be applied to every LOB. Those who say otherwise are either willfully ignorant or deliberate attempting to hide the truth.

CONFIMRED - ACTIVITY TRACKED

I was skeptical about the 8 hour office hours before, until I got a warning.

People on this forum also warn about activities been tracked, I did not believe it.

Well today , there was a general email about activities been monitored.
Say you go for doctors appt for 2 hours, when you are back you have to spend extra 2 hours.

In summary, your total online activity must be close to 8 hours.

Warning: You’re Being Watched!

A good friend of mine who has inside knowledge shared with me that your company is now 100% monitored.

It's a contracted service, and they are to monitor everything. The threshold for flagging and reporting is at the lowest bar. The service started in October and the service continues to March 2026.

I'm not sure why the sudden mistrust, but it's disturbing to be working under a microscope.

What is the purpose of this?

My source said that I should share with my trusted coworkers, but I don't even know who I can trust anymore.

Facial authentication coming soon.

Just got back from Dreamforce conference in San Francisco. Some of our technology execs were there. New tracking software and authentication software will be rolling out soon. In a nutshell, every device we use for work will have tracking and timestamping abilities.
Don’t get me started with how they’ll be using AI in the company.

Rumor has it that Dell plans to implement a GPS program on your systems.

I heard through the grapevine that there is an NDA project in the works that will allow Dell to install a GPS type program on everybody's computers so that they can monitor if you go to office and for how long. As for remote employees, they will be required to do an on-screen "puzzle" type thing to prove you are still at your computer; once an hour.

Nothing concrete but, this is just what I've heard.
