Let go

Today was my last day in Enterprise Technology. I can't say I'm surprised, this position wasn't really right for me and I could see my own performance for what it was. Nothing unfair. I'm just curious if there's a trend going on in other parts of the company too.

Reminder email from HR,even after Docusign completed

I got Riffed recently, few days ago completed the docuSign, surprisingly today got a reminder email from HR mentioning that they sent the DocuSign, and there's an expiry date hence I should complete and send it within due date. Did anyone experience the same (after completing the docusign getting a reminder email)..anything need to be done in this case?

Anyone volunteer for a layoff?

Has anyone had any success "volunteering" for a layoff, knowing that layoffs are being planned? I'm so close to retirement that I would welcome being laid off, plus doing so would likely save someone else on my team from being laid off. If we can be fairly confident that layoffs are being planned, would it make sense to let your boss or higher up leadership know that you'd be open to a layoff package? Has anyone successfully done this recently?

FT contract

The contract will be revoked and all the people servicing FT will lose their jobs, that's how this farce is going to end. They keep firing experienced people for a bit of saving and hiring unqualified juniors in their place. This is not a valid strategy and both the clients and FT feel that, and it's already happening. I wish it wasn't so but it will happen sooner or later.

The waiting game

I'm so tired of this. People who want to leave, who'd love a severance package, are stuck here waiting for the axe to fall. The company drags it out like we don't have lives to plan. This was a good place once. Really was. Now it's just gray and empty and I don't care anymore. I hope everyone here lands somewhere better whether they stay or go.

How do you actually focus at work when layoffs are coming and leadership has checked out?

Morale is in the gutter, and leadership clearly doesn’t care about keeping people motivated.
It’s ki-ling my ability to concentrate. Everything feels pointless when your work could vanish any day.
For anyone who’s been through this:

• How do you force yourself to stay productive?
• Do you keep performing at a high level, or just coast until it’s over?

Appreciate any realistic advice—especially from people who’ve survived multiple rounds.

Are layoffs negatively impacting NKE? Don’t think so.

I know there’s a lot of frustration about the layoffs at Nike Corporate, EHQ Tech, and recently Converse, and I’m hearing there may be another one coming in Tech. Layoffs are always tough on people.

But an honest question after 3000+ roles were eliminated, what major capability actually stopped working or broke? It feels like most operations have continued as before which suggests there was significant organizational bloat that likely needed to be addressed.

Ultimately, growth will only return when the product lineup improves. Not by avoiding layoffs.

Layoff and $2000.00 stock

I'm not seeing this in a post. If you already have the $2000.00 in stock and are laid off will you still have it or do you need to bank actively employed for tge 2 year waiting period. I'm on medical leave and don't have access to Worday. They cut my access as usual. I feel once I'm actively employed I'm going to be laid off. TIA

ISNP

Well between RIF and worse strategic attempts to get people to quit with case loads being unreasonable ir putting people in work plans the oregon and WA teams are about dead and gone.

DCO is a soulless id--t. CSMs are pale images of what they had been in past, all the talent and integrity leadership is gone.
At least competitors are coming in

PayPal Layoff Risk for New Hires?

Hi all,

I recently received an offer from PayPal. However, I’ve been seeing a lot of concerns on Blind about potential layoffs, especially with the recent CEO change and stock price drops.

Does anyone know how PayPal typically handles layoffs with very recent hires? Are new hires usually affected in restructuring rounds?

Also, if layoffs were to happen, how soon will be?

Any insights from current or former employees would be really helpful. Thanks!

IBM verification letter after RA action

Hello IBMers - For folks here who received received their employment verification letter for themselves or third party after RA action. What does the employment verification letter date state in terms of last day . For current employees it shows service reference date as start date (same date of hire). When you are separated what does IBM show ..Does the service reference date indicate last date of employment or last day worked or last day before you went on leave (if you were on LOA) ?
