New Blood needed

This stupid company is always organic meaning, all the Execs are long timers (CEO, CTO, CFO..), so they have the same narrow minded mentality.
The company needs some people from outside who have vision and know how to do business. The current mo--ns do not fit for their positions and will only get worse...

Nike's stock has been FAR weaker than market movements last few weeks

Where is NIke's destination eventurally, that is the question that has been floating around a lot in this platform.

As long as EH and upper management maintains this death march to the Death Valley, it will be in the teens.

Quite frankly, I was extremely disappointed that EH was not able to come out with new, clear direction after 18 months in the throne. Yeah, JD left sh-t load cr-p around but with EH's pay scale that is task that is included.

February commission payments still not done

EMEA commissions statements are typically ready on 6th-8th of the payment month. January looked like an outlier, being the 9th. However, as of 10th April, there is no statement for February.

So, what happened:

  1. The comms team got RIF'd - unlikely
  2. It's just a bit late - possibly
  3. Something more sinister is going on in EMEA linked to the RIF - probably

Lack of respect for employees by Oracle - the gift that just keeps on giving.

Truist isn't life. It's a paycheck

Why do people act like working at Truist is their life’s purpose? It’s not. It’s a job. Check the box. Collect the paycheck. That’s the endgame. Your “team” is just a bunch of strangers you’d never know or interact with if survival didn’t force it.

Meanwhile, in places like France, people actually get it: grinding at work is not something to brag about. Hard work is overrated. So stop worshipping Truist like it's holy!

Wait for it...

After getting HR approval to post a req for a backfill I have, was recently told NO hiring can happen until at least May if not FY27. So, I had to close the req and stop interviews. Also, awards budget was the smallest Ive seen in my many years managing. Something substantial is on the way folks, so hang on.

Malicious Compliance

What are ways to in all technicality adhere to RTO rules to the letter, without breaking rules, but still fighting the micromanagement mandates?

Some Ideas
Boycott TTUS

Log into office early (in office IP tracking) and run errands in the morning. Long lunch breaks while logged in.

Requiring your manager to attend all meetings in conference rooms (in person collaboration is important!)

Being in office only the exact minimum required. Tbd - maybe 6.5 hours?

Switching seats every day with reservations in Reserve me and kicking people out of their seat they forgot to reserve

It would be a shame if someone brought one of those fa-t sprays and it accidentally went off or if someone accidentally left fresh fish they had planned for lunch in a drawer over a weekend.

This whole thing is an unacceptable disaster

I'm not surprised IP tracking happened. That seemed inevitable, but retroactively changing RTO targets after employees were working toward a previous set of expectations? WOW. What kind of company does this sort of thing? Let alone a company that shouts to the heavens about its ethics awards won. They have set the stage to change targets again in the future and retroactively juke the stats. These people are shameful and have none of it.

This is truly unbelievable. What an unserious bank.

Is Automation being set up for a slow decline?

With the corporate split, two major parts of HON that have high barriers to entry are now their own companies. It seems all Automation wants to talk about is software, AI, software, AI, software, AI, which any startup can also sell in. Is the “innovating by powerpoint” finally going to come home to roost, no longer able to hide in the conglomerate?

Walt Disney Co. Plans New Layoff Round

Walt Disney Co. is preparing for job eliminations. These cuts will occur over the next few weeks. The move follows a streamlined management structure. Many layoffs are expected from marketing department consolidation. Disney faces declining revenues and smaller streaming profits.
