Folks, starting this thread to see where the layoffs are coming from this week.
Salary appeal process?
Is there any way we can go over our manager’s heads and straight to HR to negotiate a new salary? Many people I know that do not work at Cigna have that luxury. Been here for only 2 years so wasn’t sure if that exists.. Seems like HR is hidden... — read more
I'm petrified
I can't afford to lose my job right now for a whole list of reasons. I've been trying to line something else up just in case, but it's slim pickings. This is going to be a long week.

Offshore You
Don't fall for the fake news. HIH exists to replace you and the majority of US based IT & OPS employees. It's only a matter of time. Noelle's language of attracting global talent is an outright lie and has always been. When the next set of... — read more
Why wait until next week?
Why can’t we know now if we’re being let go or not? If contractors have already been notified, why not us? It’s just so unfair. Isn’t it inhumane to make us wait a whole week? The stress is unbearable and it feels like we’re stuck in limbo. How much... — read more
Annual Bonuses
Continues to go down year over year In good times the top rewards themselves while rank and file gets the anemic default (if you are lucky). Bad times the rank and file take a further hit while top preserves their take. It is sad that this makes... — read more
Bonus for HCSC transitioning employees?
Just saw that bonuses are a flat 80% for conveying employees……………
Express Scripts Layoffs Next Week
Massive ESI Layoffs next week. All departments have been scheduled throughout the week to inform employees, mainly targeting remote workers that can be outsourced.
This is so sad
Once again, they’re trading decades of experience for a quick profit boost. If the goal is to make the entire workforce feel unsafe all the time, it's working. I can't believe this is the same company I joined 14 years ago.
Have layoffs started or not?
People keep saying next week, but I keep reading that some were already told what their last day will be. I'm not sure what to think right now.
Any news today? I've heard March 13.....
Looking to get a relevant thread started for those looking for date-specific news on layoffs
Medicare Advantage transition to HCSC
Here we are well into March, makes me want to: Wake up in the morning and step outside Take a deep breath and get real high And scream at the top of my lungs WHAT'S GOING ON? 😁
Bonus’s slashed
Got railed on bonus this year. But don’t worry we gave our shareholders a record dividend…
One-Year Since my Layoff. How am I feeling?
It's been one year since I was laid off from Cigna. It took me 8 months to find a new job, so I am thankful for the severance. So how am I feeling? Freakin' fantastic. SO much happier where I am now. Did it su-k for a little bit? Sure did.. The job... — read more
Does this impact the ELT? Will they feel it?
Not a chance. Did they cause this? Yes. “You need to travel” post pandemic. Be with your teams carte blanche! Stupid Leadership leads to irresponsible leadership. Yet you will make the hardest workers pay. Those that get paid the least. That’s the... — read more
So, the grand attrition tactic didn’t work out?
What did they expect—everyone to quit because of the RTO? In this economy, with a terrible job market? Those of us who could did comply with the RTO because we all need this damn job. Now, we’re facing massive layoffs. What’s the latest? Rounds... — read more

For the 2025 prorated bonus being paid out post close, are they paying at 100% of target or less like this year’s bonus?
Massive layoffs at UHC
The insurance industry appears to be a huge mess, rumors of roughly 30k people being offered a buyout before the company does involuntary layoffs at UHC. 😬. I was just reading their thread it is terrible.

For conveying MA folks- did anyone else get an I-9 request from HCSC last week with a deadline of 2/20?
Struggling with work stress
The constant stress from work, the growing pile of tasks, and the uncertainty of my job security are pushing me to my limits. Add in ongoing anxiety and depression, and it’s been too much to handle. My blood pressure is dangerously high, and I’m... — read more
W2 question
Have any former employees not receive their W2 from Cigna?
Org changes
More big org changes this week and they haven't even straightened out the mess they created last October. Reduce staff is their only goal. We know how that's going.
A coworker got PIPed
A coworker got hit with a PIP and says he’s gone as soon as he lands another job. He’s not even bothering to fight it, as he believes it’s a waste of time and once you’re PIPed, you’re pretty much done for. Is that really how it works? — read more
Cigna should consider doing their own version of "fork in the road".
I am seeing this is all the rage in the news about a e-mail asking employees to resign. Cigna keeps doing quiet rolling layoffs every month. So why doesn't Cigna give this "fork in the road" a shot? I know several people who if given the opportunity... — read more
How about organizing a one day walkout on first business day of 1/1?
You want to force leadership to take the workforce seriously? Since unionizing isn't an option, instead organize a one-day call-out ("personal emergency PTO day) of the ENTIRE workforce. The time to do it? The very first business day of the year in... — read more

Cordani says he’s received all federal regulatory approvals for the HCSC sale, as well as all but one state. Which state is the holdout and why?
Tech and Ops 1/1 "celebration"
So we did amazing work, best 1/1 in forever, long hours and dedication... But, we are still mandated into the office. Still under the ongoing threat of layoffs. Noelle's verbal "thank you" means squat under those conditions. I would call this a... — read more
Our Commitment to Better
What a nice bunch of words. One thing missed is a commitment to do better for employees. None of this crud matters, with a disengaged-at-best employee base. How bout we start there this time and see if it works?
Favoritism and scam
Can husband and wife work in the same team in Cigna? It is affecting the work culture and make the team’s building and decisions biased?

Hearing of some org. changes that will be announced in the next week or two, anyone have any insight? TIA!
Earnings call
Can someone who attended give us a rundown? I see the share price suddenly dropped 11% today.
Massive leadership mess
Fifteen years in, and this place has never been more of a disaster. Morale’s in the gutter, and leadership keeps proving they can’t handle anything without making it worse. People are fed up, but somehow, the same folks stay in charge, failing year... — read more
Anyone else get a first thing in the morning 1x1
Just got off a town hall call for ENGO and the vibe was weird during the intro call. Mike kept saying after the earning call we will understand?? Now I’m getting a first thing in the morning 1x1.
Are we moving or not!!
Im moving and need to know if im transferring to HCsC or transferring within Cigna. What are we supposed to do?
Cigna and DEI
Any chance that leadership will drop the whole DEI push in the coming year? They seem to like to follow the crowd and a lot of companies are reconsidering these things now. In my opinion, this would improve morale at least a little bit for many... — read more
