Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

Hiring Freeze?

Is there an internal hiring freeze? Hardly seeing any posts internally. Any insight on when this will lift? Aren’t we recession / tariff proof?

Tech & Ops currently under a hiring freeze, but you can potentially backfill a role if it is a "production" role. If you lose a B4 - you're SOL.

Operations and tech is on a hiring freeze under the end of the year pushing more work to everyone else. The peanut butter spread continues. People are stressed and the csuite is oblivious.

Google Cigna jobs in India. They’re hiring externally but not Americans.
Good luck to all!

From what I understand you can move internally freely. However, we are not hiring externally. Unless there is an absolute need as determined by your manager etc.

My overall team has had 4 people leave in the last 6 weeks for other positions and their positions were filled. I think this is different according to the department.

If you check internal IT jobs, it's pretty much a goose egg.

I remember hearing about a hiring freeze 2 years ago. and I haven't seen much hiring ever since. If anything all I see is more Job Eliminations than hiring.

Cigna isn’t truly “recession-proof”
I’m sure there is a freeze.
They will evaluate once they cut more folks and see what will go to HIH to add to what they’ve already been sending them.
