Thread regarding Cigna layoffs

When is the next layoff/early retirement offer?

Is there another set layoff date anytime soon?

When are the 55+ people who accepted the package leaving?

Will they extend the package to younger employees?

This is likely a one time offer. Other than extending it to some of the departments that weren’t included this time, it probably won’t be be offered again. If you’re eligible and are considering taking it, I would do it.

@OP
It’s been reported that Tech and Ops will be offered early 2026

People taking the current VRP offering will have termination dates between September through December of this year

No, younger employees will only qualify for involuntary terminations.

For the voluntary early retirement package, the first round will be leaving mid or end of September. I do NOT think they will extend to younger employees, as they are trying to trim retirement and medical expenses.
