Tariff discussion and impact on HIH

US is putting 25% tariff on India (until he changes his mind of coz) Is that a good news for people living in US ? Will that slow down the HIH recruitment ?

Tariffs won’t impact anything for HIH. They will lead to inflation and maybe job losses, which hurts Cigna’s commercial enrollment, but that’s it.

Not directly, as HIH are not sold as goods, but make no mistake, everything is intertwined in this capitalistic bubble.

Tariffs are on imported goods, so no. The price of some medications from India might go up and that might increase health spending which might put more burden on a Health Insurance Company which might lead more claims being denied? Its hard to know, but generally tariffs arent good.

I don’t think it impacts services, so no.
